Shortly thereafter, I returned to the New York publishing and theater world, later moved to British Columbia to pursue degrees and a career in arts education, birthed my two favorite humans, and then moved to the Bay Area, California, where I was welcomed into the Jewish professional community. Throughout my movement in these roles, I never stopped thinking about what life would be like as a Doula. It took some time, but here I am, pursuing a decades-long dream. And when I'm not reminiscing about my own transformational career path, or working with growing families across the Bay Area, I'm still singing my children to sleep (even the one who's now taller than me).

My journey in birth work started at age 12, when I had the unique experience of catching my little sister. At age 22, I started my work as a volunteer doula in Vermont, serving members in the community who lacked support. My early volunteer work gave me a deep understanding of how hospitals function, and how to work with medical staff towards the best possible outcomes for parent and child. In 2023, I was trained and certified through DONA, with mentorship by Penny Bussell Stansfield and Dr. Teri Nava-Anderson. Having been through two training programs has given me a diverse range of strategies to draw upon in our prenatal planning sessions and during your labor and birth! I have been honored to participate in many birth stories, each with unique circumstances and goals. I have experience supporting medicated and unmedicated vaginal births, scheduled and emergent Cesarean births with first, second, and fourth-time parents, queer parents, low-income parents, autistic parents, non-native English-speaking parents, sexual assault survivors, people with depression, and parents of color. I am a member of the queer community and this has strengthened my belief that all bodies deserve respectful, compassionate, and culturally humble care.

I am a Postpartum Doula. I mostly work 1:1 with clients, but am open to remote work as well. I teach infant massage either in person or remotely.
