The cost of a night nanny in Sharon, ON can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Sharon, ON, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

Hi, I’m Angelina, co-founder of Cradira and a Perinatal Support Worker/Postpartum Doula serving families across the Greater Toronto Area. I provide overnight postpartum support for expecting and new parents who need more rest, more reassurance, and fewer “are we supposed to know what we’re doing?” moments. My work includes newborn care, postpartum recovery support, feeding and sleep guidance, emotional reassurance, and practical help with the everyday reality of life after baby arrives. Because yes, the baby is a big part of postpartum. Obviously. But so are the dishes, the laundry, the night plan, the feeding setup, the relationship stress, the texts from people asking how they can help, and the fact that someone still needs to know where the clean sleepers are. Over the last 25 years, I’ve learned that families usually don’t need more pressure or perfect-parent advice. They need someone calm, experienced, and practical who can walk into the real-life version of their home and help things feel a little less chaotic. Many of the families I support are also carrying more than newborn care alone: anxiety, depression, PMADs, fertility stress, loss, neurodivergence, relationship strain, or the pressure of being the person who usually keeps everything running. I don’t diagnose or provide therapy, but I am very comfortable supporting families where these realities are part of the picture. That might mean taking over baby care so parents can sleep, supporting a feeding plan, talking through newborn sleep, helping with bottles or pump parts, giving parents a chance to rest, or helping make the household pieces a little easier to manage. Sometimes the biggest relief is not a complicated plan. It’s someone saying, “Okay. Here’s what we’re going to tackle next.” My approach is warm, inclusive, evidence-informed, and rooted in real life. I’m not here to tell families there is one right way to do this. I’m here to help them feel steadier, more supported, and less like they have to hold everything in their heads. Baby doesn’t need perfection. Your family needs steady support, realistic plans, and someone calm in the room when everything feels like a lot.

Chantell helped me tremendously after I gave birth to my son. I had a caesarean so I needed all the help I could get. She would help me with light cleaning, caring for him and attended appointments with us. She also provided me lots of emotional support as well, as I was a young first time mother and she was very patient and understanding with me. Overall she is very supportive and nurturing and I’m sure if you chose her, you would not be disappointed!

I cannot recommend Isabel Nantaba enough as a birth and postpartum doula. From the moment we met her, she brought a sense of calm, confidence, and compassion that immediately put me at ease. During labor, Isabel provided unwavering support, intuitive guidance, and gentle encouragement, helping me feel empowered and informed every step of the way. Her care didn’t end after birth; she was a constant source of support during the postpartum period. Isabel’s approach is both professional and deeply caring. She truly listens, adapts to your needs, and creates a nurturing environment for you and your family. I’m Amanda :) I’m a Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula with 20 years of experience as a caregiver supporting families and caring for children from the newborn stage through early childhood (and beyond). I bring a warm, calm, and intuitive approach to helping babies—and parents—feel cared for, supported, and loved. I loved completing my training to become a Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist, deepening my skills in newborn sleep, feeding, recovery support, multiples care and gentle nighttime routines. Families often describe me as a “baby whisperer” and “real-life Mary Poppins.” I have a background in teaching, psychology, and Master Life Coaching, with studies in child development, attachment, trauma-informed care, and emotional regulation—all of which guide my responsive, heart-centered approach. I’m Infant/Child/Adult CPR certified and experienced in supporting healthy sleep routines, emotional attunement, and nurturing environments. My care style is gentle, playful, and grounded in child-centred connection. Whether I’m feeding, burping & soothing a newborn, playing with a toddler (helping soothe tantrums or find ease & connection in transitions), or helping parents find more play or rest in parenting, I bring compassion and genuine love for the work I do & the families I get to care for. When I’m not with little ones, I also support parents and children as a Play-Based Healer and Family Coach, helping families navigate big emotions, communication, and connection. If you’re looking for calm, caring daytime infant/postpartum care or nighttime support for your baby (or babies!), I’d love to be part of your family’s journey. 💜 Supporting families in these early days & being part of your family's care team is truly an honour. I look forward to getting to know you & your little one(s)! :)

Hi, I’m Jess, founder of Millie & Marin Newborn & Infant Care, providing warm, attentive support to families throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Waterdown, Ancaster and Hamilton. I specialize in overnight newborn and infant care, giving parents the opportunity to rest while knowing their baby is being lovingly and attentively cared for just steps away. During the night, I respond to your baby’s needs, support feeding and burping, change diapers, soothe and settle baby back to sleep, and carefully document feeds, diaper changes and sleep stretches so you know exactly how the night went. My care extends beyond baby, too. I believe supporting a newborn means supporting the whole family. While your household sleeps, I work quietly and wash and prepare bottles, tidy baby-related items and help reset your space for the morning. I tidy and stock supplies in the nursery. I also offer complimentary concierge support for small baby essentials such as diapers or wipes when needed. I offer this service because I know very well that sometimes you just need that last minute thing and I want to support you in any way I possibly can. I bring more than 20 years of professional caregiving experience, including a nursing background, along with extensive experience supporting children and families. My approach with newborns is responsive, gentle and individualized — I follow your baby rather than expecting your baby to fit into a rigid routine. I’m comfortable caring for singletons and twins and offer both ongoing packages and flexible hourly care. Most importantly, I understand what a privilege it is to be invited into a family’s home during such a vulnerable and exhausting season. My goal is for you to go to bed knowing your baby is in capable, caring hands — and wake feeling a little more rested and supported. Warmly, Jess 🤍 Millie & Marin Newborn & Infant Care

I don’t even know where to begin in describing how grateful I am for Petra and the incredible support she gave me, my husband, and our son born in April 2024. She was, in every sense of the word, the doula of our dreams. We call her our 'fairy godmother.' We were first-time parents who truly didn’t know what we were doing. Petra walked into our home with a calm, reassuring presence that immediately made us feel safe and supported. Petra never made us feel judged or inadequate — instead, she showed us step by step how to care for our newborn, starting with the first step into our house from the hospital, and my question of, "umm, so where do I put him?". From there, she patiently taught us all the practical skills (feeding, burping, bathing, diapering, soothing, etc.), as we had no idea what we were doing. All the books I read while pregnant did not prepare me for the real thing. Petra prepared us for the real thing. More than the “how-to,” Petra gave us peace of mind. She answered every question with kindness and expertise. She normalized our fears, reassured us when we second-guessed ourselves, and reminded us that we were doing a good job. She also cared for us as parents. She encouraged us to rest, to eat, and to breathe. Her presence lifted so much of the anxiety from those early days and gave us space to bond with our baby rather than drown in uncertainty. Petra was everything we hoped for in a doula: knowledgeable, nurturing, reliable, compassionate, and endlessly patient. She went above and beyond. I can say without exaggeration that she helped us survive and truly enjoy those first weeks as a new family. Suyin also contributed to the post-partum support of our family as my lactation consultant. You really just don't know how difficult breast feeding is until you try it! Suyin helped me with latch, positioning, and confidence. Her visits at our home were comfortable and stress-free, and she helped turned breast-feeding into something I could actually enjoy. I can’t recommend her enough!
