The cost of a night nanny in Silver Spring, MD can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Silver Spring, MD, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. This process will help you find a night nanny who meets your needs and fits within your budget.

My approach to doula care is centered around making sure you feel informed, heard, supported, and confident in the decisions you make for your birth. I believe every family deserves to understand their options and have someone in their corner who can provide calm, nonjudgmental support throughout the experience. Whether you’re preparing for your first birth, hoping for a different experience this time around, feeling overwhelmed by all the decisions, or simply want an experienced support person by your side, I meet you where you are. I provide in-person birth support throughout the DMV area as well as virtual doula support. Through Womb 360, I also offer personalized birth planning and pregnancy education to help families feel prepared long before labor begins. Birth can be unpredictable, but you shouldn’t have to walk into it feeling unprepared. I’d be honored to be part of your support team.

Anisha was such a calming presence during my labor. She paid attention to what I needed and helped me through contractions with different comfort measures. One thing I’ll never forget is the warm stones she used on my back. The heat felt so soothing, especially when she paired it with pressure on my hips. It helped me relax and get through some of the hardest moments. She also made sure my partner knew how to support me and helped me feel heard throughout the experience. I’m grateful I had Anisha there. If you want a doula who brings both knowledge and genuine care into the room, I highly recommend her.

Erin is an INCREDIBLE gem of a doula. From the moment my husband and I met her, we knew instantly that she was the one. And we were right! First of all, her passion and positive energy are contagious. We accomplished SO MUCH during our first visit. She patiently guided me through various poses to ease discomfort and prepare me for labor, all while getting to know me. By the end of the visit, she had me completely figured out. In my stubborn moments, Erin always had the magic words to get me unstuck. Our dynamic was as though we were old friends. My birth experience was a 3-day induction with lots of highs and lows. Erin was there for ALL of it and kept the same energy throughout. When I felt lazy and wouldn't get out of the bed, she was the birth whisperer. I laugh when I remember how she "tricked" me into dancing and walking to bring on labor and how much I ended up enjoying it. Erin also wisely guided us through the medical team's recommendations and helped us make informed choices. On day 3, she told me we could get the baby out in a few hours if I did what she said, and IT HAPPENED! I had some unforeseen complications after, and she stayed with my husband and baby until I was out of the OR and stabilized. She even met us at home some weeks after to check on me, debrief, and celebrate. Erin is kind, patient, and genuinely passionate about birth. She has a PERMANENT place in my heart and invitation to the cookout. https://doulamatch.net/testimonial/detail/81721

Hello / Xin chào! 👋 My name is Hoàng and I’m a full spectrum doula. I provide prenatal, birth, postpartum and reproductive care for all birthing people and their families in the DC, Maryland and Virginia area. I completed my training with Doula Trainings International in February 2026 and I’m currently working towards my certification. In the summer of 2025, I became a mom and was privileged to be able to give birth to my son in the comfort of our home. The powerful experience of laboring in the arms of my partner and my mother, surrounded by an incredible team of midwives left a strong imprint on me. I decided to step into the birth care space because I want all birthing people to have the same level of support my people have done for me, who have kept me held throughout labor and nursed me back through postpartum. I am deeply aware of the inequity and challenges facing many birthing people in the US, especially to our black, brown, indigenous and immigrant families. I also realize that the solution does not lie in asking birthing people and their families to “get more educated” and “find more support”. What we need a system-wide policy change that address core issues: guaranteed paid family leave, affordable childcare, and affordable medical care. This work is inherently political, because too many birthing people have been paying the price with their own bodies and babies. Birth work is my prayer that we all receive the love, care and support we deserve, no matter who we are or where we come from. As I embark on my doula journey, if this message resonates with you, I humbly welcome you to come along and allow me to be a companion on your own birth journey. With deep gratitude / Kính thương, Hoàng🌷

Breastfeeding is a learning process for both mother and baby, and having the guidance of a professional like Carolina was key to our success. With her guidance, any mother can feel confident about the well-being and happiness of both herself and her baby. We know that when a baby is happy, the whole family is happy. That is why I would like to thank Carolina for ensuring that I was able to breastfeed my son right from the moment of his birth. Thank you for your loving and confident professional guidance, for your kindness and patience with us, and for encouraging and motivating me during the most difficult times—of which there were many. Thanks to this professional—who loves what she does and is constantly staying up-to-date—my son is protected today because he is fed exclusively on my breast milk. He is gaining weight properly, and breastfeeding has become a unique time of affection and joy for both of us.

I wear many titles with pride — Wife, Mother, Birth & Postpartum Doula, Lactation Specialist, and Massage therapist , and Author. But at the heart of it all, I’m simply someone who is devoted to women’s health, healing, and empowerment. My passion for nurturing others comes from a long line of generous souls — my mother, my grandparents, whose kindness and selflessness shaped who I am today. My grandfather devoted his life to serving his community, and my grandmother has always been the quiet backbone of our family, giving from the heart without hesitation. Their example taught me that true generosity is showing up for others with love and presence, and that principle runs through every part of my work. I’m a proud graduate of the Holistic Massage Training Institute, where I began my journey into bodywork and holistic healing. Over the years, I’ve specialized in prenatal, fertility, infant, and postpartum massage, helping women release physical tension and rediscover balance in their bodies. I also help many clients find relief from chronic neck and lower back pain, drawing on more than four years of therapeutic experience. In 2020, I founded a private practice specializing in pregnancy and postpartum manual therapy. Over the years of practice, I have helped over 300+ women relieve pain, improve mobility, and prepare for birth. My educational journey has included studies at Anne Arundel Community College and Western Governors University, and midwifery studies through the National College of Midwifery while apprenticing under several licensed midwives. I have attended over 50+ births in a mix of hospitals, home births, and birthing centers. My calling toward birth work was born of my own motherhood journey. My first childbirth experience showed me the power of a supportive birth team, but my second reminded me how deeply a lack of support can impact a woman. That moment became the turning point that led me to dedicate my life to women’s wellness — ensuring that every woman feels seen, supported, and cared for during one of life’s most transformative experiences. In 2022, I was honored to receive the Good Heart Award from The Shades of Blue Project during Black Maternal Health Week, recognizing my commitment to uplifting and caring for families in the birthing community. My work has also been featured in publications such as Motherly, Beauty Boost Baltimore, and Voyage Baltimore. Every client I serve, every birth I attend, and every family I serve is an extension of that same legacy of care that was passed down from my family. I’m here to create spaces where women feel safe, nurtured, and empowered to trust their bodies — because generosity, to me, is the act of helping others remember their own strength.

Medina is AMAZING. We hired her for a postpartum doula, and she was such an amazing emotional support. It was amazing that she is also a massage therapist. I got massages frequently, which helped with my stress so much. She was always very helpful with baby, and had so many resources and advice for me whenever I needed it. I wish we could have had her longer. She is a true blessing!!

Nia Speight is trained through Madriella Doula Network and Virginia State-Certified, offering doula support services to birthing, postpartum, and bereaved parents. She’s worked within the family service profession for nine years, offering traditional yet personalized support. She also dedicates time advising families who need healthcare referrals, sibling assistance, and pregnancy loss support ⋆。°✩ As a mother who chose to home-birth, Nia fully understands the physical, emotional, and informational support parents need, whether they plan to have a medicated or unmedicated birth — BOTH choices require the same level of mindfulness and decision-making. She believes mothers should prepare for the personal experience of childbirth by discovering ways to feel their absolute best, however that may look for them. Nia enjoys helping mothers prepare for their birth journey by narrowing down on what is most important to them, helping them find their voice, addressing the nervous system and physical body, preparing for postpartum recovery, and more. During postpartum, she offers hands-on support to ensure parents are well-nourished, comfortable, and rested. Mothers can expect traditional care such as meal preparation or body recovery support. Guidance surrounding feeding, newborn care, and/or healthcare. Her hope is to provide care that supports families not only through the present moment but also prepares them for the days, decisions, and transitions ahead.

Nia was an absolute pleasure to work with. My partner and I felt extremely comfortable with her through the whole pregnancy, birthing, and postpartum process. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Doula Every Mom Deserves — Kim Is Truly a Godsend I honestly don’t know how I could have navigated this postpartum journey without my doula, Kim. From the moment she entered this experience with me, she has been so much more than a doula—she has been a source of comfort, reassurance, encouragement, and genuine support for me and my entire family. Kim showed up for me at the hospital during labor and stayed right there with me and my husband. She was attentive, present, supportive, and incredibly calm during a time when emotions were high and there were so many things happening at once. She never made me feel like I was bothering her or asking too much. She simply showed up and supported me exactly where I was. And then, after I gave birth, Kim didn’t just disappear. She was waiting at my home to welcome us back. That moment meant so much to me. Postpartum can be such a vulnerable and emotional transition, and having someone there who genuinely cared about how I was doing made a tremendous difference. What I love most about Kim is that she understands that supporting the mother means supporting the whole family. She interacts with my other children, she communicates with my husband, and she makes herself part of our family dynamic in such a natural and respectful way. She doesn’t just focus on the baby—she recognizes that Mom needs care too, and when Mom is cared for, the entire household benefits. Each week after birth, Kim gave me four hours a day, two days a week, and those hours helped me more than I can put into words. Those four hours gave me an opportunity to breathe, regroup, rest, handle things I needed to handle, and simply have someone there who understood that postpartum recovery isn't just physical—it can be emotional, mental, and overwhelming too. I also want to be honest about something because I think it speaks volumes about the kind of person Kim is. There was a period after birth when I was really dysregulated. I was overwhelmed, emotional, exhausted, and trying to communicate with Kim about the times she was offering me. There was a mix-up, and if I'm being completely honest, I was a little spicy. 😂 But Kim never responded with attitude. She never made me feel guilty. She never took my difficult moment personally. She was kind, patient, understanding, and continued to reassure me. At one point, I even pushed her away a little and essentially gave her an opportunity to step back and say, “Okay, maybe this isn't working.” She didn't take it. Instead, Kim reaffirmed that she was going to be by my side. That meant EVERYTHING to me. Because sometimes postpartum isn't pretty. Sometimes you're exhausted. Sometimes you're overwhelmed. Sometimes you don't communicate perfectly. Sometimes you need support while simultaneously feeling like you don't want anybody around you. And Kim understood that. She didn't abandon me in those moments. She continued to show me that her commitment wasn't conditional on me always being easy, happy, or perfectly regulated. She saw me as a whole person and continued to meet me with grace. That kind of support is priceless. And now we're taking it to another level! ❤️ We are officially on our first Mommy + Doula trip with baby, and Kim will be traveling with me for leisure activities once a month. That says a lot about the relationship and trust we've built. She has become someone I feel comfortable having alongside me not only during the difficult moments, but during the beautiful ones too. Kim has become part of my village. She has supported me as a mother, supported my children, supported my husband, and most importantly, supported ME. There are people who provide a service, and then there are people who genuinely pour into you. Kim is the latter. If you're a new mom, an experienced mom, overwhelmed, nervous about postpartum, or simply someone who believes in having a strong support system around you, I cannot recommend Kim enough. She is patient. She is compassionate. She is attentive. She is dependable. She is understanding. She is family-oriented. And she genuinely cares. Finding someone who can support you without judgment is a blessing. Finding someone who can support your entire family is rare. Kim is a Godsend. 🙏🏽❤️ I am so grateful that God placed her in my village during this season of my life. And honestly, this isn't just a review of a doula anymore—it's an appreciation post for someone who showed me that sometimes the right person comes into your life at exactly the right time. Kim, thank you for showing up. Thank you for staying. Thank you for understanding me even when I was difficult. Thank you for loving on my family. Thank you for reminding me that I don't have to do everything alone. And thank you for continuing to stand beside me even when I momentarily forgot how much I needed support. We are just getting started! 🥹❤️ 10/10. Highly recommend. A true Godsend. A beautiful addition to my village. And apparently, now my travel doula too! 😂✈️👶🏽
