I am a solo practice Certified Nurse Midwife with over 12 years of experience attending births and providing well person care in various settings in the Chicago area. Half of my midwifery career has been in several different types of hospitals; and the other half in home birth and at a free-standing birth center. Originally, I obtained a Bachellor’s Degree in Hispanic Literature and I worked for 10 years in the education area as an Academic Coordinator at Secondary level. However, after my daughter’s birth, I fell in love with the perinatal world and decided to change careers. Now she is 15 years old, and her existence has been a constant source of inspiration for my growth and continuous training in perinatal care.
