We were incredibly fortunate to have Luciana care for our son during his first year of life. From the very beginning, she was loving, attentive, and genuinely responsive to his individual needs. We always felt confident knowing he was in such caring and capable hands. She kept us updated throughout the day, which gave us wonderful peace of mind and allowed us to feel connected to his day even while we were apart. She also made a real effort to engage him in age-appropriate play and activities, supporting his social, emotional, and cognitive development in such a thoughtful and natural way. Most importantly, our son was always so happy to see her and clearly felt safe, comfortable, and loved in her care. She became such an important and trusted part of his early years, and we are incredibly grateful for the love, patience, and dedication she showed him.

Hey, I’m Kaleish, a public health practitioner, doctoral student (in public health) and a certified full-spectrum (birth and postpartum) doula. I currently hold certifications in providing NICU doula support as well as High Risk doula support. I am currently in training to be a certified community lactation educator. Think of me as your perinatal support person. I support women and birthing people of color who are feeling dismissed, unsure, or overwhelmed during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I started this work because I realized how many women of color are navigating pregnancy without the support, guidance, or advocacy they deserve. It deeply concerns me how often Black and Brown women have their concerns dismissed by medical providers—sometimes resulting in traumatic and avoidable birth experiences. Now, I help women and birthing people of color move from feeling unheard and unsure to feeling informed, supported, and empowered to advocate for themselves and their birth preferences. If you’re a woman or birthing person of color feeling dismissed, unsure, or overwhelmed—you’re in the right place. This journey is yours. I’m simply here to hold space, answer your questions, and make sure you feel safe, seen, and supported every step of the way. Random Facts: I've supported births at Katz Women's Hospital at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Hungtinton Hospital, NewYork-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns and NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. I am a lefty/ left handed. I don't have a sense of direction even with a map, however, I will find my way to support you. I was born in the Caribbean and spent most of my childhood and some of my teenage years living there. I love me some 80s and 90s black sitcoms. Book Your Free Consultation: Book Now via https://calendly.com/kaysgentlehands/30min?back=1&month=2026-07

I highly recommend Paula! I hired her for 6 weeks after my C-section, and she was so attentive with my baby. She was also wonderful with my 5-year old son, who absolutely loves her. Since then, I’ve brought her back twice while traveling for work, and each time she’s given me complete peace of mind. Cavelle began working in our family in June 2021 taking care of our 6 day-old boy/girl twins for 8 weeks. “Taking care” is a very passive phrase to explain what Cavelle does. Cavelle and I formed a bond from the moment we met over facetime, where she offered an abundance of advise and wisdom in preparing for the twin’s arrival months before they came. I was a first time mom with zero knowledge and Cavelle has taught me absolutely everything about newborn childcare in way that is carefully and specifically tailored to the needs not only of each of my twins but also for me, and our family. Cavelle created a scheduled routine for the twins that was mindful of their growth and development as well as one that was practical for our lives in such a way that we thrived as a new family of four. Because of the way Cavelle structured and implemented our bedtime routine, our newborn twins were able to sleep in 8 hour stretches in the night by 6 weeks. I cannot emphasize enough how Cavelle’s care for the twins allowed for them to thrive and develop in their early weeks. To demonstrate Cavelle’s wealth of knowledge and expertise, when we faced medical issues or questions, our pediatrician always echoed Cavelle’s first given advice and plan of care. Thanks to Cavelle’s incredible work ethic and multi-tasking style, my husband and I were able to not only get sleep at night and be fully functioning during the day (which is unheard of for newborn parents) but also easily enjoy the luxury of one-on-one time out of the house because we knew that the twins were under the best care with no interruption in their routine. Cavelle provided guidance at every aspect of the newborn journey from breastfeeding, pumping, and breast care, to accompanying trips to the pediatrician, to soothing techniques and differentiating each type of cry for each baby. As a first time mom, Cavelle fostered confidence in me by giving me the tools required in understanding each of my twins’ individual needs and how to properly tend to them. Cavelle goes above and beyond just newborn care by putting her heart and soul into the inceptive upbringing of babies by instilling her love and exceptional expertise. It is the absolute best decision in having Cavelle join our family as a baby nurse for our twins. If you are considering Cavelle as a baby nurse, you cannot find a better person and will be fortunate to experience the hand of Cavelle in your child’s early days.

I’m Michelle, a compassionate, experienced and dedicated Newborn Care Specialist with a genuine passion for babies and supporting families during one of the most important transitions in their lives. My journey in newborn care began in Jamaica, where I worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over six years on the island’s largest neonatal unit. This experience gave me invaluable hands-on knowledge and confidence caring for newborns with a wide range of needs, while teaching me the importance of patience, attentiveness, safety and compassionate care. Since moving to the United States, I have continued working in healthcare and family support as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Healthcare Assistant, Companion and Newborn Care Specialist. I have had the privilege of supporting families with newborns, twins and multiples, micro-preemies, babies with additional and specialist needs, as well as providing newborn care for surrogate families. I understand that every baby and every family is different. My approach is therefore personalised, gentle and respectful. I take the time to understand each baby’s cues, routines and individual needs, while working closely with parents to establish a nurturing environment where both baby and parents feel supported and confident. I am First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) trained, a Certified Neonatal Care Specialist and CNA. I am committed to continually developing my knowledge and skills, and I am looking forward to pursuing my doula training because supporting women and their families throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal journey is something I am deeply passionate about. I would describe myself as warm, dependable, patient, trustworthy and adaptable. I genuinely enjoy becoming part of a family's support system and helping make those early days and nights with a newborn a little calmer and more manageable. For me, newborn care is more than a job. It is an opportunity to provide families with reassurance, practical support and peace of mind while giving their little one the safest, most loving care possible. I would be honoured to support you and your family on your journey into parenthood.

Hi, I’m Angela — a mother, grandmother, and postpartum doula based in New Jersey, proudly serving families throughout the NJ/NY/CT tristate area. I am deeply passionate about supporting families during the tender and transformative postpartum period, offering calm, compassionate care when it’s needed most. I have supported over 40 families and their newborns, some through birth, and several others through overnight postpartum care and newborn support, helping parents rest, recover, and confidently adjust to their new reality. While I also provide daytime care, my primary focus is overnight support for families who need specialized, hands-on assistance during the early weeks after birth. My passion for postpartum care grew from my own journey into motherhood, when I realized how essential it is for birthing parents to feel nurtured, supported, and truly seen after birth. What began as caring for family and friends naturally evolved into my calling as a postpartum doula. Later on, I expanded my work to support expectant mothers throughout pregnancy and birth, offering compassionate physical and emotional care. In addition to my doula work, I bring over 15 years of experience caring for children and teenagers, along with nearly two decades of volunteer service supporting parents, children, and teens in my community. I approach every family with warmth, respect, and a wholehearted commitment to helping you feel confident, supported, and cared for during this beautiful new chapter.

Katia has been my postpartum doula and caregiver for my baby boy since February 2025. She consistently takes initiative in ways that truly lighten my load as a new mom. One moment that stands out was when she noticed I was juggling baby care and chores—without me even asking, she washed the baby's clothes and bedsheets, took out the trash, and even helped cut vegetables for dinner. She always notices what needs to be done and jumps in with such care and thoughtfulness—it’s clear she’s not just doing a job, but genuinely wants to support and nurture. This was my first baby, and I had never used a doula service before, so I was initially skeptical and a bit anxious about having someone new in our home during such a vulnerable and emotional time. But from the very beginning, Katia made me feel at ease. Although she has extensive experience with babies, she remains open and flexible—listening carefully to my needs and respecting our preferences. She remembered all the little things I mentioned and adapted her care accordingly. Even now, with my baby being 8 months old, I still turn to Katia when I need someone trustworthy to watch him for a few hours. That’s how much confidence and comfort she’s brought to our family. Both my husband and I are deeply grateful for her help—having Katia as our doula has been such a positive and reassuring experience. She made a lasting impact on our early journey as parents, and any family would be incredibly lucky to have her by their side.

The Best Support We Could Have Asked For! We had the immense blessing of working with Priya for both labor/delivery and postpartum care, and I can confidently say she was one of the greatest gifts of our entire journey into parenthood. As first-time parents, the transition can feel overwhelming, but her presence brought comfort, confidence, and so much peace into our home. From the very first moment, she was gentle, knowledgeable, and incredibly nurturing. Her care is rooted in deep Ayurvedic wisdom, and she combines it beautifully with modern newborn support. She went above and beyond in every way. ✨ Labor & Delivery Support Having her with me during labor and delivery made all the difference. She was calm, encouraging, and present through every contraction and every moment of uncertainty. Her guidance helped me stay mentally strong and physically supported. I truly don’t know how I would have done it without her. ✨ Newborn Care She cared for our baby with so much love — from Ayurvedic oil massages, creating gentle daily routines, helping with gas/colic relief, and supporting healthy sleep patterns. Every single thing was done so thoughtfully and respectfully. ✨ Postpartum Recovery For Me She didn’t just help with the baby — she took care of me as a mother: - Ayurvedic belly binding for core support - Warm oil massages - Herbal teas and foods that supported healing and milk production - Emotional and mental support on days I needed it most She made sure I rested, nourished my body, and felt seen and cared for — something every new mother deserves. ✨ Food & Meals Her freshly prepared Ayurvedic meals were amazing. Everything was warm, nourishing, and made to help my body recover and build strength. You can tell she puts her heart into every part of her work. ✨ Family Support She guided my husband, helped us understand newborn cues, and even shared tips that made our whole home more peaceful and soothing for the baby. Her knowledge is priceless. If you are considering Ayurvedic newborn care or postpartum support, don’t think twice. She is truly gifted at what she does. She combines expertise, intuition, and compassion in a way that is rare to find. We felt protected, encouraged, and cared for every single day. We absolutely love her and are so grateful for everything she brought into our lives. She will always be a special part of our birth and postpartum story. ❤️
