Hello and congratulations on your new little one! I’m Mariah Field, Certified Birth Doula and the owner of The Juniper Birth. I was born and raised in Idaho, and I am honored to walk alongside women as they embark on their journey into motherhood. My passion for birth work began when my son was born at home in April of 2022. Not long after, life took an unexpected turn when he needed a life-saving bone marrow transplant at just six months old. Then, in September of 2025, we faced the heartbreaking loss of our baby girl to the same condition. Those experiences changed me forever. They taught me so much about life, loss, compassion, advocacy, and the importance of trusting a mother’s intuition - lessons I carry with me into every birth space I enter. Bringing a baby into the world is one of the most sacred and transformative experiences a woman can have. My hope is that every family I work with feels supported, informed, and empowered to trust their bodies and their instincts every step of the way. We had Mariah as our Doula after our original Doula was out of town, but I wouldn't change a thing. I truly believe that God made it work out exactly how it needed to. She showed up in early labor after having never met her before, and she instantly ushered in the spirit of the Lord and made me feel at ease. She helped me make decisions when I wasn't able to, suggested what she thought would be best to get contractions to speed up, talked with me about my worries and fears, spoke the word of God over me, even made me laugh during contractions, and made me feel peace that I didn't know was possible in labor. I have nothing but the absolute best to say about Mariah, and even my husband was beyond pleased with how well she took care of me and our son. We love you and are so beyond thankful you were part of one of the best days of our live!

As soon as I became pregnant, I started looking for the best ways for support. After all this was my first pregnancy and I’ve heard from my sister how amazing her doula made her experience. I found Carli, at meet and greet event for doulas. She was the first person I met with that day, and I instantly felt that Carli should be MY doula. She was amazing!! She exudes confidence!! I knew she’d be a great support for me during labor and delivery, I just never fully understood until it happened. She spoke kindly, and empowering words towards me. When I felt scared or too tired to keep going she reminded me how far I’ve come and how close we were to meeting our little girl. She really never left my side. She was the ultimate support, constantly sending me positive energy and encouragement. Reminding me that I can do this. She comforted me, and guided my husband to feel confident in his role during labor and delivery. from teaching him counter- pressure techniques when I was in early labor, to educating us on hospital procedures to prepare us for the ideal birth experience. My favorite thing she said was “it’s temporary the feeling of discomfort is temporary, you’re so close to meeting your baby girl.” She captured precious moments, and put together the absolute best birth video that my husband and I will cherish forevermore. I’m so happy Carli was my doula throughout this entire experience, I can’t express enough how comforting and empowering having her by my side was, as I went through such a life changing experience.

Holly Arroyo

Welcome! My name is Holly Arroyo. I am a certified birth doula (AWWS 2023), NRP (neonatal resuscitation) certified (2025), BLS (basic life support) certified (2026) serving families in the Treasure Valley of Idaho. I am a Bible-believing Jesus follower and I believe that God can use birth to glorify Himself and deepen our faith. I felt called to serving long before I had children, but specifically to the birth world after having my own babies. I have three beautiful children and all three of their births were wildly different. My first baby came into the world via c-section due to being in a frank breech position (head up, bum down). After a failed ECV (external cephalic version) where the doctor attempted to manually flip my baby, a scheduled c-section was recommended. My second baby was an induction and a successful VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). My third baby was my first out-of-hospital and unmedicated birth-and it was a FAST labor! Although I wish I had a doula for my first baby, I did have an incredible nurse with my second baby (who happened to be a doula for many years prior). She made all the difference for me during that labor and her support was invaluable to me and my husband. My desire is to not only serve other mamas in a similar way, but to be that support that I wish I had from the beginning. Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum can be such unpredictable, challenging, and vulnerable seasons and it’s vital to have someone come alongside you to educate, support, and teach you how to advocate for your needs, desires, and the needs of your baby. Having a doula on your birth team is like having a built-in friend and coach all in one. Your doula works for YOU-not your provider or the hospital. Pregnancy, birth, and motherhood is a journey-and I would be honored to come alongside you during yours as your doula!

Holly was a key part of making our home birth a dream experience. Prenatal meetings with her were so helpful, and her presence during labor and delivery was invaluable to both me and my husband. We would highly recommend her to any expecting couple!

Sariah Smith

For all of history, up until the last century or two, birth was a uniquely feminine and sacred event supported by midwives, mothers, sisters, friends, and neighbors. Mothers were given the space, trust, and respect to intuitively birth their children, just as their bodies were designed to. In the 20th century, the modernization of birth care, intended to increase safety, unfortunately pushed labor support out the picture. Doctors became more concerned with outcomes alone than with the transformative experience of birth, itself. The emergence of doulas in the developed world was a desperate and necessary response to the all-too-common technocratic birthing model that has changed society’s entire view and practice of giving birth. The culture of non-medical labor support is thankfully not lost. Women deserve the same sanctity, respect, and space to do what their bodies know best now, as they did for all those centuries. I believe supporting the birth experience in its traditional light is my calling.

Sariah is the perfect mix of every trait you could want in a doula. Fun, lighthearted, sooo deeply compassionate and empathetic, exceptionally knowledgeable, excellent under pressure, and full of passion for and belief in birth. She has so many tricks up her sleeve to keep births moving along, help resolve positional issues, and increase your comfort during labor. She also has amazing herbal knowledge to support all stages of the process. Sariah was a godsend at both my homebirths. She perceived my needs before I ever expressed them. She kept me fed, watered, cool and comfortable. She provided counter pressure with an endless well of patience and strength. She took care of me during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with such love and I am forever grateful! Also: she is a baby whisperer and is amazing with kids of all ages! You won’t find a more capable, knowledgeable or passionate doula. I highly recommend her to every pregnant momma 💗

July 2026

Mariah was such a gift to us during the birth of our second daughter. She came early to set up our room to make sure it was inviting and relaxing. She continued to support us in ways I didn't realize we needed like grabbing us food and water throughout labor. Mariah also took photos for us and they were absolutely STUNNING! They were better than I could have imagined. If you are looking for a doula who is genuine, kind hearted, personable, and easy to rely on, Mariah is your girl!

June 2026

Stephani really helped me to make educated choices about my birth and to feel way more comfortable about having my first baby. I had other plans for my birth, and even though they didn’t work out the way I had envisioned, Stephani was still there every step of the way with me to face new challenges during my labor. She also went out of her way to come to my house when my baby was transverse and taught me some exercises that helped get her into place. Not only was she an amazing doula, but truly a great friend to have by my side. I will always recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing doula!
