Hi! I'm Kaitlyn. I am a DONA Certified Birth Doula and a Rhode Island Certified Perinatal Doula experienced in working with those choosing to have a home birth or water birth, those walking through birth anxiety, and those needing strong human rights advocacy in the hospital setting. I then started working as a postpartum doula with San Antonio Birth Doulas where the emphasis was on serving teen and lower-income families. Many families live very far away from the members of their family that could offer help and guidance. If they do live close, chances are they work or have very busy lives themselves. Many partners have to go back to work after just a couple of days or a week off. Having a postpartum doula reduces the chance of depression and increases your positive nursing experience.
