Hi, I’m Melinda Mankins, founder of Parent Vortex, a birth and postpartum doula and Certified Lactation Educator. At Parent Vortex, I believe parenting is a balance of intuition and information. I help families navigate pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and the transition into parenthood through evidence-based education, practical support, and a mindset that focuses on confidence over fear. My approach is less “expert telling you what to do” and more trusted big sister walking beside you. I provide guidance, advocacy, and encouragement while helping parents tune out the noise, trust themselves, and make informed decisions that align with their values. My goal is for every family to feel supported, capable, and confident as they create the birth and postpartum experience they want.

I thrive on empowering clients and advocating for their voice in their birthing journeys. Through my ever evolving doula career, I have supported families through grief, loss, and abuse. I serve families at home, in hospitals, and at birth centers. I strive for all families to have a positive birthing experience full of compassion, nurturing, and love. I offer birth services, photography, placenta encapsulation, and postpartum support.   My passion for birth and support were inspired from my own passage through birth and motherhood. Through my own birth experience, I was drawn to support others the way my doula cared for me. My passion for a positive birth journey fuels my model of care. In my free time, I enjoy spending time hiking and camping with my husband, two daughters, and dog. I loves yoga, music, and travelling.

I am a highly skilled and experienced certified DONA postpartum doula, with a keen interest and comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of areas, including newborn care, lactation support, sleep coaching, and meal preparation. With years of dedicated service and commitment towards helping new parents navigate the challenging journey of parenthood. I have developed an unparalleled depth of understanding and empathy when it comes to the unique challenges that new parents face. I struggled with postpartum issues have only served to deepen her compassion and understanding, making her an exceptional source of emotional support and comfort to her clients. I take great pride in my work and I am passionate about empowering both parents to feel confident and capable in their role as caregivers. My approach is always personalized, and I take the time to get to know each family I work with, so that I can provide tailored support that meets their specific needs. In her downtime, I love spending quality time with my husband and two children. We are an active family, and we enjoy engaging in a wide range of outdoor activities, including camping, boating, playing sports and making memories together.

I am a certifying birth and postpartum doula and a mother of three. I felt called to this work after the birth of my first daughter while living abroad with my husband in South America. Through that experience—even with a great husband—I became deeply passionate about ensuring that no mother has to navigate pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period alone. The early weeks and months of motherhood can be overwhelming, and women need the support of other women during this transformative season. While raising my family and working as an administrative assistant, I have pursued my passion for supporting new moms and families as a Family Life Coach with Colorado Family Life Center (CFLC). Through the Confident Beginnings Program, I walk alongside first-time parents as they navigate pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. I guide parents as they learn about breastfeeding, bonding, milestones, sleep, and so much more. Officially becoming a birth and postpartum doula was a natural extension of this work. In my free time, I love spending time with my family playing board games, going camping, and discussing the latest sasquatch sightings. I run a small at-home bakery called Bun in the Oven Bakery, where my daughters and I sell pies and muffins at the Orchards Farmers Market during the summer. I am a follower of Jesus and attend Flatirons Community Church in Denver.

Hi, I’m Andrea — Birth Doula, Pregnancy & Postpartum Wellness Coach, Nutritionist, and Mama of Three.** Bringing a baby into the world is powerful, transformative, and sometimes overwhelming — and no mama should have to navigate it alone. As a pregnancy and postpartum doula and wellness coach, I support expecting and new mothers who want to feel calm, confident, and truly prepared for the journey ahead. My background in pregnancy and postpartum wellness and nutrition allows me to guide mamas in a holistic way — nurturing the mind, body, and soul through every stage. I’m also a mom of three, so I deeply understand the emotions, fears, and hopes wrapped into birth and early motherhood. I believe every mother deserves a doula. Every mother deserves to feel informed, supported, and encouraged. And every baby deserves the greatest gift of all: a calm, confident, grounded mama who feels held, not overwhelmed. Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating postpartum, or simply craving reassurance and guidance along the way, I’m here to walk beside you with compassion, confidence, and evidence-based support. You don’t have to “just get through” pregnancy or postpartum. You deserve to feel empowered in it.

Hi, I’m Kat! A doula, parent, and the heart behind Meadow’s Blossoming Bellies. For the past few years, I’ve been home with my daughter Meadow, watching her grow into this bright, fierce little human who’s taught me more about life and strength than I ever expected. She’s the reason I stepped into this work. I want her to see that it’s never too late to follow your passion—and that women can lead, heal, and build something powerful, even in the messiest seasons of life. My path to becoming a doula didn’t start with a dream. I found this work through my own experiences of birth, trauma, and healing. Meadow was born six weeks early and spent time in the NICU. Our journey included feeding challenges, a g-tube, postpartum depression, and a long road to bonding. It wasn’t easy, but it cracked me open. It made me realize how much support matters. Not just medically, but emotionally, spiritually, and human to human. That’s why I show up the way I do—as a birth, postpartum, and sibling doula who’s committed to creating a space where people feel safe, respected, and never alone. I’ve taken a range of trainings, mentorships, and classes, but most of what I bring to this work comes from lived experience and deep listening. I’m here to walk with you through the unknowns—offering grounding support, honest conversations, and care that fits you. My work is rooted in connection. I meet each family where they are, honoring your values, your needs, and your voice. Whether you’re navigating birth, adjusting to life with a newborn, or preparing your older child for a sibling, I’m here to support the whole experience with presence and compassion. This work is sacred to me. Every story matters. Every birth matters. And you deserve someone in your corner who sees you fully. If any of this resonates, I’d love to connect and see how I can support you.

My name is Lyssa Zawalski, and I am a postpartum doula undergoing certification with DONA. My path towards becoming a postpartum doula was a winding one, with stops along the way as a teacher, social worker, and product manager. While I have found a depth to each of these titles, becoming a postpartum doula has felt like so much more. Quickly after giving birth to my daughter, I realized that I was underprepared and undereducated on what came next. Postpartum was filled with navigating solo parenting, PMADs (perinatal mood and anxiety disorders), and lack of a “village.” Once enough time had passed and I could more objectively look back at my postpartum period, the most glaring observation was that I had desperately needed help. I needed support in understanding how to feed my baby, what infant sleep looked like, how to find ways to take care of myself (which felt impossible at times). Having a postpartum doula would have changed my postpartum experience as well as the early years of parenthood. I cannot imagine a more tender time to support a family. I truly believe the care and support that we receive in our postpartum period determines so much of how we start our parenting journeys. Thank you for being here, and thank you for trusting me with the most precious pieces of your heart.

Hello, I'm Alexi Neal, a Holistic Postpartum Doula and Trauma-Informed Somatic Healer. I offer Holistic, Trauma-Informed Postpartum Care, rooted in many years of somatic healing experience. In addition to the typical postpartum doula services of lactation and baby support, meal prep, family support, and light housework, my offerings also include holistic birth recovery services, herbal support, bodywork, yoga therapy, and energy healing.

I found my love and passion for supporting families and children in 2002 when I began my career as a Nanny.  I would frequently found myself supporting newborns/infants as a Nanny and chose to transition to a Newborn Care Specialist officially in 2021.  As of 2023, I have supported over 30 families with their childcare and newborn development. In order to bolster my experience and skills, I sought educational opportunities that specialized in newborn/infant care.  I have completed course offerings from Newborn Care Solutions in both Foundational and Advanced levels and am an Elite, CACHE certified NCS; along with being a trained doula and working on my certification for lactation counselor, I continue learning and growing my knowledge through safe sleep courses and many other trainings pertaining to newborns. I look forward to hearing from you to see if I am a good fit!

Hi there! My name is Emma, and I am a certified birth and postpartum doula primarily located in the Denver metro area. As a doula I am here to support YOU. My opinions and beliefs don’t matter when it comes to you. It is not my place to judge, but only to support you with whatever you choose. I am committed to providing you with heart felt care, evidence based information, support, and holding space for you. Birth doesn’t have to be a scary thing. Every person is entitled to a sacred, safe, and informed birth. There is too much misinformation happening within the birth world and as your doula I promise to do my very best to keep that from happening to you. Every good doula knows that each birth is different and not one size fits all!

My name is Osharron, and I have had a deep interest in birthwork support for over 20 years. Throughout this time, I have been fortunate to assist friends and family members, and each experience has fueled my desire to expand my knowledge and better support those in need. As a mother of three, my own birthing experiences have further enriched my ability to offer meaningful support to individuals in the birthing process. In recent years, I have worked with elementary-aged children with special needs, which has allowed me to develop a unique approach to supporting people in diverse and individualized ways. This role has been immensely rewarding, providing me with the opportunity to view the world from various perspectives and continuously adapt my methods of support.

I am a mother to three boys aged 14, 12, and 9. I have 21 years as a professional middle school math educator and am looking to switch gears to work with new mothers and babies. I recently compiled a birth doula training.

My name is Courtney Moore Rodriguez. I am a certified lactation educator (CLE), certified postpartum doula (CPD), and certified infant and family sleep specialist (IFSS). I am here to support your family in person (within the Denver metro area) and/or virtually…from the time you find out you’re expecting, through your baby’s first birthday. In those first few weeks and months, it can be hard to ask for help. I am a strong believer in helping families to help themselves (with a good amount of time for rest and self care thrown in too). Rather than taking care of your baby for you, I make sure that you have the skills, knowledge, and rest to do it on your own. I assist families in a non-judgmental fashion and always strive to meet you where you are. I am up to date on the latest research regarding infant feeding, sleep, and newborn care, and can give you non-biased information so that you can make informed choices that work for your family.
