I attended my first birth at 11 years old when my youngest brother was born. Since then I have been drawn to birth work. I started out as a birth photographer in 2017 and my passion for helping families discover what birthing options are available to them so that they can make informed decisions and have an empowering birth experience led to me diving into doula support in early 2024. I then got certified as a birth and postpartum doula in March of 2025. Although I am focusing on doula support at the moment and not currently offering birth photography sessions, I am happy to use your phone to take pictures and videos of you during labor/birth so you can preserve these precious memories. While I had incredible support from my husband, it was his first birth experience too, and neither of us really knew what to expect. Because of COVID, we weren't able to take a childbirth class, and looking back, I wish I had known about doulas. I would have hired one in a heartbeat. I'm a fertility and birth doula offering evidence-based, compassionate support from conception through birth. Fertility Support Trying to conceive can feel like waiting for answers your body isn't giving you yet. I help you get to know your cycle - what it's telling you, when you're actually fertile, and what's normal versus worth asking a provider about - so you feel like an informed participant in your own fertility, not a bystander to it. My focus is natural, at-home conception through cycle tracking and fertility awareness (the FEMM method), and I also support families pursuing IUI, IVF, or surrogacy when that's the path that fits. Birth Support Ava Dickson and I work as a team, because we believe you shouldn't have to hope the right doula is available the night you go into labor - you should already know both of us, and trust both of us. As a family we enjoy camping, hiking and exploring our country’s beautiful national parks. It is not odd to find us hammocking up at Como park, picking mulberries and reading :) I enjoy running, gardening, reading and baking and hosting regular gatherings of family and friends.
