I decided to become a doula early in 2024 after realizing how much I wanted a career in helping others during some of the most vulnerable times of their lives. I believe in a God that creates peace and order, and wanted to be someone who could embody that for others. Funny enough, shortly after deciding to pursue this career, I found out I was pregnant with my son! Going through that experience, along with training I think really shaped my own doula philosophy. My name is Jordan Towns and I have served the role as an Emotional Support Coach/Companion for over two decades to women and men encountering a full range of life encounters. It was in Spring 2023 that my journey to become a Doula was initiated and what a journey indeed it has been. Marked by my strong ancestral roots and divine gifting coupled with an experience that allowed me to grow deeper in tune with my body as a woman and what it means to be empowered and supported in my connection to it, I moved to become a Birth Doula and completed my formal training with Doulas of North America International in the “Art of Labor Support.” Now I have the honor of providing continuous, culturally appropriate support, non-medical advice, and physical comfort coaching to women and their partners during pregnancy, the birth ceremony, and the adjustment period after. It is this support that is critical to counter systemic medical racism and socioeconomic barriers that families face. I am currently offering to women who would like to birth at home donation-based services.

I’m a trained Postpartum Doula through Wrap Around Baby. I Started out as a nanny providing care for six years from newborns to even teenagers with special needs. I attended California State University, Fullerton where I earned my B.A. Criminal Justice and my A.A. Psychology and my A.A. Liberal Arts. I’ve always had a passion for helping mothers and babies, where I can be an advocate for families and individuals. I provide a non-judgmental environment, allowing parents to make their own decisions based on the education I deliver. Hello, my name is Danell, and I'm a birth and postpartum doula. For me, being a doula isn't just a job; it's a calling. I truly believe that my purpose in life is to help people, and I can't think of a more rewarding way to do that than by supporting families during this incredible time. I'm passionate about empowering families to have positive and fulfilling birth experiences however that looks for them. First, as a sister and a friend, then as a mother myself, I have seen the medical system sew fear and doubt into women regarding their body's capability to achieve what it was intended to. I continue learning daily how best to help each new mama, both through lived experiences and through research, and will gladly share my knowledge. I also believe that every woman should be supported through the most vulnerable and powerful moment of her life. In a system that pushes women away from their natural state, I am here to be that calming support and fierce advocate.

My mission is to educate clients in alignment, movement and Ayurvedic nutrition in order to maintain energy levels and feel the best through every phase of pregnancy and postpartum.
