Evelyn Bello-Schrag

Hi, I'm Evelyn – a mama to two beautiful kids, a nature lover, and an advocate for women. While I didn’t plan to become a doula or childbirth educator, I now know that it’s my true calling. Growing up in a close-knit Mexican household, I was always drawn to community and mentorship, especially for girls. After earning my degrees in psychology and Spanish, I worked with survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual abuse. Becoming a mom ignited my deep curiosity about pregnancy and birth. I became fascinated by the process, eager to learn everything about labor and advocate for my own birth experience. After having profoundly empowering births, I realized that every woman deserves a birth that is powerful and free from trauma. This curiosity soon grew into a passion for supporting other women in my community. In my journey as a home visitor, working with Spanish-speaking moms, I saw firsthand the lack of resources and perinatal education available to them. It fueled my desire to help these women advocate for themselves, find their voice, and feel empowered in their birth experiences. After the birth of my daughter, I took a step back to reflect on my passions, and that’s when I discovered the amazing combination of doula and childbirth educator. And so, La Vid was born – a community for mothers to feel rooted and empowered, from pregnancy through motherhood. I believe in the strength and connection of women, and my mission is to empower you through your entire journey, so you never have to walk alone.

One of the things that I loved the most was that Evelyn offered online birthing classes on Saturdays. This was my 3rd pregnancy and I had never attended any birthing class. Knowing what to expect for birth, I was amazed at how much she goes over in her classes that the content is real and raw. Before my birth she set time to get to know my birth stories, know me, and discuss her role as my doula. I really appreciated that she listened without any judgement. Evelyn always listened to my concerns and actually validated them. In the last weeks of pregnancy, she would check on me and give me tips to be ready for when it was time to head to the hospital. Her words and knowledge would always calm my nerves and anxiety. During my birth, she was ready to help me voice out my needs and was not afraid to roll up her sleeves to help. She provides so many words of affirmation and was part of my successful birth. I would definitely recommend Evelyn to any mom looking for a doula. She is also so kind, humble, and really knows what it takes for a mama to birth.

Hi! My name is Shauna and I am a DONA International certified birth doula, as well as a Bradley Method® Provisional Affiliate Instructor located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago - Woodstock to be exact. It is my honor to support families that are giving birth in home, birth center and hospital settings. After working for five years in obstetrics and gynecology, I knew I wanted to be more involved in supporting women throughout their pregnancy and birth journeys. I 100% believe all women should be supported and have the right to birth as they want, whatever that looks like for them. I believe women's bodies are remarkable and amazing. As a mom of three myself, I know first hand the power a woman's body has, from growing a baby, to delivering that baby, and then to be able to nourish that baby. I started the rigorous training with The Bradley Method® to become a provisional affiliate instructor in 2025, and will be teaching classes in June 2026 in Lakewood, IL. In my free time, I enjoy going on walks with my husband and our two dogs. I also enjoy reading and staying up-to-date on all things pregnancy, birth and lactation related.

We used Shauna for our first baby in July and I don’t know what we would have done without her. She answered any and all questions I had during my pregnancy, and was willing to do anything to help when needed. She had all the tips and tricks I needed to feel as comfortable as possible. During the home visits before the baby was born, she went over everything that could happen and that might come up so we felt prepared for those things. During labor and delivery a lot of things happened that scared me, and the doctors were making things worse. They didn’t have great bedside manner. If Shauna wasn’t there to calm me down I don’t know how I would have felt. When everything is going wrong you just need a calm in the storm and that’s what she was form me. Her being that calm when I needed it most made her service very valued and much needed. She also knew all the right things to say and do during contractions. This empowered me to tell my husband how to do those same things. She even made a postpartum visit, and still texts to check in with us 2 months postpartum! I would recommend Shauna to anyone looking for a calm, supportive, and informed doula!

Every childbearing person deserves to feel supported, prepared, and unafraid as they navigate the wonders of pregnancy and childbirth. I’m both passionate and absolutely fascinated by this right of passage, and it is my highest privilege to guide others within their own birth stories. I became interested in childbirth education and birthwork when I was pregnant with our first baby. My partner and I attended a Bradley Method course kind of as a fluke, and it was life-changing. I did not realize how much I did not know! In addition to completing the Bradley Method course and experiencing the birth of my two children, I have worked in child and infant care for many years, including private nanny services, NatureSense Childcare Center, and The Madison Isthmus Montesorri Nedo (or nursery). I completed my Full Spectrum Doula Training, including prenatal, labor, birth, and postpartum care, as well as training in fetal positioning and lactation support with Cornerstone Birthwork Training, and am certified in Pediatric CPR/AED/First Aid through the Red Cross. I specialize in whole-food nutrition and dietary considerations for those with autoimmune disease and chronic illness. I live with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Crohn’s Disease and have been developing and collecting recipes and home remedies for over 10 years! I’m an expert swaddler, baby bather, sleep wrangler, lullaby lilter, routine guru, space optimizing organizer, Story reader, and love to color and play Legos with kid siblings.

Leah was there for me 24/7 if I needed her or had a question, and has been 100% there for us from prenatal to postpartum. She kept me grounded and connected to what was happening to my body throughout my pregnancy and was knowledgeable about what I could do to help ease any pain or discomfort. Leah thoroughly prepared me for and guided me through each stage of labor and taught me how to recognize when it was time to go to the hospital. Leah offered so much support and reminded me that this is my pregnancy, my body, and while in the hospital, my voice is important. She made sure I understood that I had the right to ask questions and to say no at any point. She made me feel empowered. After our baby was born, Leah helped us feel confident in our abilities and has been an invaluable presence in our household for these first months. We are so happy to have had her by our side through this amazing experience.

Mission~~~ I am a “pick-your-own-adventure” kind of doula! With tailored care to your unique dreams for this journey, we navigate the waves with a spirit of confidence and bravery. I promise both to help you find the strength from the Lord that He has already given you and ensure informed consent, so that you may be at peace with the choices you make for you and your baby. ~~~Impact: My passion is to help women reclaim their confidence in their God-given intuition, and ability to trust their body & this process. My goal is not a specific birth for mothers - my goal is that after working with me, they are able to look back on their birth and say, beaming with pride, “I could do that again”. Birth is hard - but it doesn’t have to be traumatic. My aim is to help create a day that is beautiful, that doesn’t elicit a stress response when remembered. (And bring fun into birth, whenever possible!) Tulip Doula Services celebrates our beautiful, heaven ordained biology as women - honoring our sex’s special gift to be our babies’ first home, of mothering, and to be a mother! My present calling is to help women discover that they are STRONG, ABLE, & RESILIENT.

If you're looking for an amazing doula look no farther. She has achrist in her heart and a strong love for motherhood, birth, and babies. She is so easy to talk to and just a calming ray of sunshine. I used her services for 2 births and she has always given 100% and has gone beyond my expectations to give me the experience I was hoping for. My births tended to go sideways for uncontrollable reasons and she always stood by me and supported me even when things got a bit intense. I can't recommend her enough or say enough good things about her as a person and doula. She is kind, understanding, gentle, open, loving, generous, and dependable. Love to her pieces and I will always remember my births better because she was there

Welcome! My name is Abigail, and I am an (AWWS) certified birth doula and the heart and hands behind Providence Doula Services, LLC. Though the official launch of Providence Doula Services is fairly recent, my love for birth work and babies is not! With each birth I witness and every mamma I have the privilege of serving, my awe and passion for God's incredible design deepens. I grew up in Wisconsin and am proud to serve families all across Sheboygan County and beyond. I come from a family of five children and deeply cherish my family, my faith in Jesus Christ, and of course, my morning coffee (or evening coffee if I'm heading to a birth)! It is truly an honor to walk alongside families during pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early postpartum season. I am continually humbled and grateful for the opportunity to support mothers during one of the most sacred and life-changing moments of their lives

For my first baby, I assumed the nurses would guide us through labor, but the experience felt stressful and chaotic, and my husband felt helpless. Having Abbie with us for our second birth completely changed that experience. She created a calm, comforting environment, guided me through breathing and natural pain relief techniques, and equipped my husband with the tools and confidence to truly support me during labor. Her gentle presence, steady advocacy, and expertise helped transform my labor into a peaceful, empowering, fully unmedicated birth experience. I will always be grateful for the care she gave our family.

As a certified doula of color with extensive training in lactation support, birth, postpartum care, and infant feeding (including baby-led weaning), I am deeply committed to providing safe and empowering care for women and all birthing individuals. Recognizing the historical disparities in modern medicine for women of color, my practice centers on ensuring you, your baby, and your family feel secure and well-supported throughout your prenatal, birthing, and postpartum journey. I reside in the Milwaukee area but am willing to travel within the state of Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

After having two traumatic birth experiences caused by negligent doctors I decided for my third and final pregnancy that I would take a leap of faith and go with a doula to advocate for me and make sure my final birth experience would be on MY terms. With the help of Brianna and my midwife team, I had an extremely peaceful and empowering unmedicated birth experience with no interventions from any doctor. I had complete and total faith and trust in Brianna to make decisions that I would make after extensive conversations and consultations about what my ideal birth experience would look like. Brianna took all of my stress and worry away and I was able to 100% focus on the flows of active labor and she supported me through it 100%. And she not only supported me through birth, but the days that followed. I wish I had gone this route with my previous two but how lucky am I that I got to have this experience the third time around.
