Exhausted? Overwhelmed? I support families in the tender weeks after birth with calm, evidence‑based care that helps you rest, recover, and feel confident with your newborn. With 5 years of trusted experience and consistent 5‑star reviews, I provide grounded, nurturing support for newborn care, light nourishing meals/snacks, help with recovery, and emotional wellbeing. Families across SC & GA choose me for my steady presence, clear communication, and the peace I bring into their home. ✨ What I can help you with: • Overnight newborn care so you wake up rested • Breastfeeding + pumping support • Newborn care + routines • Recovery • Light household reset (bottles, pump parts, nursery tidy) • Sibling support + partner guidance ⭐ Review from a Pediatrician & First‑Time Mom (SC) “Jernae offered wonderful support and true respite during my postpartum recovery with our now four‑month‑old twins. Her calm, grounded energy made such a difference during a vulnerable time for both my healing and my mental health. She was punctual, organized, and incredibly helpful with bottle washing and laundry, and she was so gentle and confident with the babies. She cared for them in a way that allowed us to get the restorative sleep we desperately needed. Her flexibility and kindness meant so much during those early weeks. Thank you, Jernae — you are deeply appreciated.” 📅 Next opening: June 9th — 1 family spot available Ready for peaceful nights and confident days? Let’s connect! I'm Ava; a very passionate birth and postpartum doula devoted to supporting women who desire a calm, instinctive, and physiological birth experience. My love for birth began early in life when I witnessed my own mother bring two of my younger brothers into the world through 2 peaceful homebirths. Watching the strength, intuition, and beauty of those moments deeply shaped my belief that birth is not something to fear, but something to trust. My philosophy centers on honoring the body's natural design for birth- not the societally pushed or man-created model of birth that often leads women to doubt their own instinct. I believe that birth "works" best when it is protected, undisturbed, and guided by a mother's intuition. When women are supported with evidence-based information, true informed consent, and a peaceful environment, their bodies are capable of incredible things. my approach prioritizes physiologic birth, instinctive movement, and protecting the natural hormone flow that supports labor, bonding, and postpartum recovery. I especially love supporting families who are drawn to physiological birth, low- intervention options, and creating a birth environment that feels peaceful and intentional. Whether you're planning a homebirth or simply hoping for a more natural and supported experience, I am here to walk alongside you with steady support, evidence-based information, and wholehearted encouragement.

5/5 ⭐️ Ava was an amazing doula to have! She is so sweet and compassionate and responsive to both mother’s and father’s needs during labor and delivery! She helped us with learning and getting into different laboring positions, keeping track of minutes, various calming techniques (i.e. aroma therapy, hydrotherapy, etc.), use of different tools (i.e. birthing comb, peanut ball, etc.), and timing our departure for the birthing center just right! She was so encouraging during my labor and delivery and incredibly supportive postpartum too with a gift basket, foot massage, and demonstration of how to wrap a belly binder. I had the best experience with her and will definitely be reaching out again in the future! Highly recommend!

Suzanne Nicklas, RN, IBCLC

Hi, I'm Suzanne Nicklas! I'm a Registered Nurse, IBCLC, Doula and Health Coach based in Greenville, SC. As a nurse, my passion has been working with new parents and infants. I have worked with hundreds of families in my fifteen years as a lactation consultant and doula. I love educating families prior to the birth of their baby and particularly enjoy the postpartum period. As the mother of four, my own birth experiences led me to this work. I offer 24/7 on call Lactation "office hours" to assist families at any time of day or night. My passion for wellness started many years ago when I took the first of many health coach trainings, the first being through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I began health coaching in 2010 and since then my practice has transformed and grown in many ways. As I have grown as a person, so has my work. Along the way I have picked up skills based on my own personal interests and broadened my education and am able to share those with both my lactation and doula clients as well as my coaching clients. Some of these training include yoga, aromatherapy and reiki. It is my love of combining conventional and alternative philosophies of care that led me to Ayurveda and Yoga. My trainings have enabled me to blend the wisdom of Eastern medicine into our Western way of living to create lifestyle transformations that work in our busy day to day lives. All of my services are offered both virtually and in person. Lastly but most importantly, as a partner and mother of four amazing humans, I bring both personal experience and professional care to the families I serve. I am honored that you have chosen to visit my site and I look forward to working together.

I cannot recommend Doula Lacey more highly! I met Lacey around the 15 week mark of my pregnancy with my sweet little girl. We clicked and after speaking with my husband we decided to move forward with her. And thank goodness we did, because just 10 weeks later my water broke preterm and my girl made her entrance into the world at 25 weeks 5 days. Lacey was quick to respond throughout the week as I was experiencing symptoms of early rupture, when I was admitted to the hospital, and when I very quickly and surprisingly gave birth. She provided excellent support and insight on what the hospital process would entail for my husband and I who had planned to have our daughter in a birth center and were now working with providers we did not know in a space we wouldn’t have chosen. She was quick to travel & get to the hospital the week I was admitted as things changed every hour. And she has continued to provide incredible support for us both postpartum as we have begun our journey into NICU parenthood. Having a doula was something I always prioritized, and having such an unpredictable and scary birth experience made that even more clear. And Lacey was right by my side either physically or verbally every step of the way. We are so thankful for her & she is such a special part of our daughter’s story.

I wish every new parent had the amazing benefit of hiring Lacey for postpartum services!! She is not only a warm, grounded, nurturing person, but an incredible cook, organizer, and so much more!! We have been working with Lacey since the day our baby came home two months ago and with a five year old also at home, having Lacey’s help has been a game changer. It’s made such a difference for our whole family! She is a total self stater yet also open to direction/preferences and will follow your lead with that. She’s done everything from come up with recipes, grocery shop, make meals and snacks, to using our recipes, freezing meals, doing our laundry, organizing and cleaning around the house and our five year olds chaotic toy messes. One thing really notable about Lacey is she takes so much initiative!! She somehow finds most things she needs at our house on her own and knows what what would be helpful before we do! What a gift during a time of life when you have little brainpower to figure those things out. I call her Mary Poppins times ten!! We will always be grateful for the role she’s had in our lives during this time. Reach out to her ASAP!

Jessica was our doula and wow..she went above and beyond for us! As a first time mom, she was exactly what my husband and I needed. I had a hospital birth that didn’t go the smoothest, jessica found a way to still make it as comfortable and as calm as possible. She has such a servants heart and I can’t wait to use her again in the future!
