Kelcey Dabel

Hey there! I’m Kelcey, a born-and-raised Las Vegas native, wife, homeschooling mom, doula, and student midwife. My journey into birth work hasn’t looked quite like I originally imagined, but I can see God’s hand in every step. I once dreamed of becoming a NICU nurse, but He led me down a different path that I’m incredibly grateful for. My own birth experiences have shaped me in ways I could never have anticipated, and my journey through unexplained secondary infertility after my second baby gave me a deeper understanding of just how personal, complex, and emotional the road to growing a family can be. That season sparked a passion for learning more about fertility, conception, and the many challenges families may face along the way. Over the past 10 years as a doula, I’ve grown so much in my knowledge, experience, and understanding of the incredible privilege it is to walk alongside families during some of the most vulnerable and life-changing moments of their lives. My philosophy on birth is rooted in my belief that birth is a powerful, God-designed process that deserves to be treated with respect, patience, and trust. I believe women are capable, their bodies deserve to be trusted, and birth should be approached with confidence rather than fear. I’m passionate about supporting physiological birth and helping women feel informed, empowered, and confident in their choices. To me, supporting a woman doesn’t mean telling her what her birth should look like; it means giving her the information, encouragement, and space she needs to make the decisions that are right for her and her family. I believe every family deserves to be heard, respected, and treated with compassion, regardless of their birth preferences or how their journey unfolds. As a Christian, I see this work as more than a job; it’s a calling and an opportunity to love and serve others in a deeply meaningful way. My heart is to be a calm, encouraging presence, a compassionate advocate, and a source of truth and support as families navigate pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Ultimately, I want the families I serve to feel less alone, more confident, and reminded of the beauty, strength, and purpose woven into their unique stories.

As a postpartum doula and proud mother of nine children—both biological and bonus—I have experienced the full spectrum of parenthood. My parenting journey began at age 17, shaping me into the deeply empathetic caregiver, mentor, and steady presence I am today. What started as lived experience grew into a calling to support families during the tender, transformative season of welcoming a new baby. My approach combines specialized training in childbirth education, lactation support, and postpartum care with unparalleled real-life wisdom. Whether assisting with newborn feeding, facilitating restorative rest, or guiding physical recovery, my goal is to foster calm confidence within the home. Families describe my presence as steady, nurturing, and deeply reassuring—someone who makes them feel safe and capable. Believing that every family deserves to feel respected and empowered, i ensure parents do not have to navigate this season alone, helping them find their rhythm, rest, and confidence in this beautiful new chapter.

Katrina was amazing for our family. She came the second night we were home from the hospital as a postpartum doula. We had two doulas and while I also loved our other Katrina quickly became my go to for baby questions and a gut check. Not only does she have extensive professional knowledge but she’s a mom to nine. I was at ease with her and could spend time talking with her about how I can better support my family, and she understood my postpartum intrusive thoughts and anxiety. She could read my face and knew when I had a tough day with baby and she was able to really improve our family’s days. Her early support of our family was incredibly meaningful to me and I’d highly recommend her to any mom.

5 Stars all the way! I was so impressed by how knowledgeable and professional the support I received was. We received wonderful service. Every question I had was answered with a very well thought out explanation. She made sure to make herself available for every consultation and worked with my difficult schedule. She helped me make a birth plan and made it very easy to customize. The plan changed when baby arrived simply because of how fast baby was ready to be delivered, and she helped me navigating that as well. All around my experience was phenomenal and I, 100% would ask for her assistance again!

Nikki is an incredible doula, helping me achieve the birth experience of my dreams. Highly recommend! At 40, I became a first-time mom. As a later-in-life mom, all my childbearing friends have had kids before me, which means I’ve heard a lot about the many ways birth can go sideways. I hoped hiring a doula would help prevent some of the worst, especially as a “high risk pregnancy.” Nikki has a long list of qualifications and previous successes that made her the best candidate for the job. Nikki was a godsend who listened to my preferences, helped me build a birth plan, provided thoughtful information to help me prepare, and held my hand through labor. Her advice put me in a great frame of mind for my induction and her hands-on guidance helped me get through a largely unmedicated labor. She snapped a series of incredible pics as I pulled my son into the world. From start to finish, my whole experience with Nikki left me feeling empowered and powerful. I’m one of the few women in my life who’ve had a phenomenal birth experience, and I know it’s a huge credit to her. Thanks, Nikki <3

I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about my doula and the experience I had with her. As a first-time mom, I didn’t fully understand the importance of having a doula until I experienced firsthand how much of a difference the right person can make. Now, I can confidently say that having her by my side was one of the best decisions I made throughout my pregnancy and birth journey. From the beginning, she equipped me with knowledge, resources, and the confidence to advocate for myself. She took the time to educate me on different medical interventions, my rights as a patient, labor preparation, and the importance of understanding my options so I could make informed decisions about my body and my baby. She never made me feel rushed or judged for asking questions. Her patience, wisdom, and ability to explain things in a way that made sense truly set her apart. Having a birth plan was very important to me, and I am so grateful to say that I was able to have the vaginal birth experience I envisioned. There was a moment during labor when I was under an epidural and not fully aware of everything happening around me. One of my birth plan requests regarding Pitocin was not being honored, and when concerns arose about my baby’s elevated heart rate, I worried that the situation might lead to conversations about alternative delivery methods before I had the opportunity to fully understand what was happening and discuss my options. My doula reminded me of my rights, reassured me that my voice mattered, and encouraged me to stand firm in my wishes while continuing to communicate with my medical team. In a vulnerable moment when I needed reassurance the most, she helped me feel empowered rather than powerless. I truly believe the knowledge and confidence she instilled in me played a significant role in helping me navigate those moments and remain an active participant in my birth experience. In the end, I successfully delivered my baby vaginally, pushed him out in just a few pushes, and had no tearing. I am incredibly proud of that experience, and I know the preparation and education I received helped me feel more confident going into labor. She also taught me so much about preparing my body for birth. I implemented the practices she recommended, including eating dates daily starting around 34–35 weeks, drinking raspberry leaf tea, curb walking, and doing pelvic floor exercises. Beyond the physical preparation, she helped me prepare mentally and emotionally for labor, which was just as valuable. Another thing I deeply appreciate is how her guidance helped my partner better understand what women experience during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. Her education helped him gain a better understanding of how to support me, and I believe that knowledge will continue to positively impact our family as we navigate parenthood together. Her support extended beyond the delivery room. I appreciated the thoughtful gifts, pregnancy check-ins, and the resources she provided throughout both my pregnancy and postpartum journey. It was clear that her care went beyond simply fulfilling a role. She genuinely wanted me to feel supported, informed, and prepared. As a woman of color, maternal advocacy is especially important to me. My family even expressed how much they wished this type of support and advocacy had been available when they were having children years ago, and I couldn’t agree more. Too many women, particularly women of color, have experienced feeling overlooked, dismissed, or unheard during pregnancy and childbirth. Having someone who understands the importance of patient education, informed consent, and speaking up when something isn’t right is invaluable. Every woman deserves to feel safe, respected, informed, and empowered during one of the most vulnerable experiences of her life. I am so grateful our paths crossed. Her knowledge, patience, compassion, and dedication to her clients speak volumes about her skill set and the value she brings to families. I will wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula in Las Vegas because I genuinely believe every expecting mother deserves the kind of support she provides. If I ever decide to have another child, there is no question that I would want her by my side again. She helped make one of the most important experiences of my life empowering, educational, and beautiful, and I will always be grateful for that. If you’re considering hiring a doula, please don’t underestimate the value of having someone like her in your corner. She is truly a blessing to the families she serves! ❤️
