Rae P. Jimenez

11 years of experience
Packages from $400

My name is Rae Pittenger-Jimenez (she/they); I am a midwife, full-spectrum doula, and analog film photographer living in the Pacific Northwest. With over a decade in perinatal healthcare, my work weaves together clinical care with photography and writing, creating a body of work that is both interpretive of the reproductive experience and indexical to the unseen labor of family-building and parenthood. My creative and support practice is informed by years of clinical experience in prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care, combined with my own experiences of pregnancy, birth, and parenthood.

I truly cannot recommend Rae enough! She was my doula, midwife, and birth photographer for all three of my births, and I honestly can't imagine going through those experiences with anyone else. Rae wears many hats, and her experience as a midwife allowed her to provide an exceptional level of care as my doula. From the very beginning, she made me feel supported, informed, and genuinely cared for. Her calm presence, incredible knowledge, and unwavering encouragement gave me confidence through every stage of pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. She always knew exactly when to offer guidance and no question was too small. She advocated when needed and provided a reassuring presence in the birth space. She made even the most challenging moments feel manageable. Beyond labor and delivery, she also provided thoughtful prenatal care and postpartum check-ins. I am beyond thankful for the support Rae provided. As a photographer, Rae beautifully captured the raw, emotional, and fleeting moments of each birth. Those photos are among my most treasured possessions, and I know I'll cherish them for years to come. She not only documented each birth but also supported our family every time it grew, making each experience even more meaningful. If you're looking for someone who will wholeheartedly support you, provide exceptional care, and preserve your birth story with stunning photographs, you won't find anyone better. I am endlessly grateful for everything Rae has done for my family and will cherish the memories she helped create forever.

We had such a wonderful experience with our doula, Dana. She was incredibly supportive, knowledgeable, and caring throughout the entire process. Her calm presence and encouragement made me feel confident and reassured during labor, and she was always there when I needed guidance or support. Dana truly went above and beyond to make sure both my baby and I were comfortable and well cared for. I’m so grateful for her compassion, professionalism, and dedication. I highly recommend Dana to any expecting family looking for an amazing doula.

Laura was truly a life saver after our baby was born. Baby girl ( was very small when she was born, so the combination of concern about baby's weight/size, breastfeeding troubles, a lot of family stress, and awful postpartum depression made things really tough. Laura swooped in with incredible calm, knowledge, endless support, and a soothing touch, and things suddenly felt a bit more manageable. When Laura arrived, she would somehow see the big picture of "what does this house/family need right now?" and also zoom in on me and baby to make sure we were safe and comfy. The days when Laura was in our home meant I could take a shower, take a nap, have a solid meal--all while trusting that our baby was in excellent hands. Her depth of knowledge about pregnancy, newborns, feeding, safety, and overall health is incredible--and she has so many resources to share--but more than anything else, she made us feel incredibly cared for. I cannot recommend Laura highly enough to help smooth the transition from giving birth into the wild newborn days. Thanks to her, we felt less stress, less exhaustion, less worry, and so much more comfort. She's an amazing doula!

My experience with Bridgette was fantastic. My main reason for using a doula was I wanted someone in the birth room to be a fierce advocate while I was medicated and in pain and unable to advocate for myself. She was that and so much more. I had to push for 4 hours to get my little one out after already being in labor for 18 hours. The doctor said I was close to needing the vacuum to get her out and I credit Bridgette's knowledge, encouragement of frequent position changes while pushing and encouragement to keep hydrated and nourished with clear liquids to why I was able to get my little one out without the vacuum. Another thing that was a great help was giving my overwhelmed partner guidance on the best ways of helping me and keeping him calm and involved in a stressful situation. In addition to that she got the BEST pictures of the delivery while respecting the fact I didn't want any from the angle you could see my more intimate areas. I'll cherish those pictures forever. My birth was a beautiful wonderful experience. I have to credit part of it to luck but the majority of it to Bridgette.

Bethany is truly such a gem, and I genuinely don’t know what my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience would have looked like without her. I went through my pregnancy without the support of a partner, and having Bethany by my side made such a huge difference in my experience. She was so kind, caring, warm, and genuinely supportive from the very beginning. Having her with me at appointments made me feel like I wasn’t navigating everything alone, and during labor, her presence brought me so much comfort. She supported me, helped advocate for me, and made sure I felt heard and cared for during such an important and vulnerable time. What makes her even more special is that her care never felt like it was simply a job. She genuinely cared about me, my baby, and my family. She was so sweet and loving with my older children and made them feel included and comfortable throughout the experience as well. Even postpartum, she continued to show up with the same warmth and thoughtfulness, whether that was checking in on me, supporting me as a new mom again, or even showing me how to make nourishing meals. I feel like I gained a lifelong friend in Bethany. I will forever be grateful that she was part of this chapter of my life, and I appreciate her more than I could ever fully put into words. Any family lucky enough to have her as their doula is getting someone incredibly special. I cannot recommend her enough.

Brooke Hammett

I am a Certified Lactation Counselor and Birth/Postpartum Doula, and was called to this work because of my own experiences. I had a myriad of pregnancy issues, including loss, high risk medical complications, postpartum mood disorder, PTSD, and breastfeeding challenges. Like many families, we could not find the right resources, despite looking and asking for help. I don't want another person to fall through the cracks like I did. That was back in 2007/2008, and while more support systems are in place, we are still clearly lacking. We all benefit from having compassionate, non-judgmental help in the process of starting or adding to our families, and it brings me immense satisfaction to be that person for others. Show Less A scenic landscape showing mountains, a lake, and trees under a clear blue sky. My Philosophy I believe that every person has the right to a safe, respectful, and empowering experience when starting or adding to their family-whether through adoption, fertility treatments, or birth. This should be provided no matter their race, religion, beliefs, economic status, disability status, sexual or gender identity. I am committed to provi Show More My Services I offer a range of services to support birthing individuals and families throughout the pregnancy and childbirth journey. These include prenatal support, labor and delivery support, postpartum care, bottle-feeding/formula guidance, pumping and lactation support.
