My husband and I worked with Jamie in the fall of 2021, when our first son was born. We chose a 'virtual' package, with options for video calls, phone calls, and texting. This service was exactly what we needed, and I honestly cannot say enough positive things about Jamie in this review. Her constant advocacy for the health and happiness of our son (and therefore his parents!) was incredible, including acknowledgment, understanding, listening, asking questions, and providing thoughtful recommendations (solutions to try) or references (for example to other local providers) for us to use. She even connected us to other parents selling used baby gear to purchase products to try. Knowing she had my back was such a crucial part of our first few months, and now I tell everyone if there's one thing you do for yourself and your baby in the birthing process- it's to hire a postpartum doula. Everyone should be so lucky to have Jamie have their back, available for that phone call or text when you're having your toughest moments. The reassurance is invaluable. For us, we didn't feel we needed someone in our home in person, but we needed that number to call when we had questions, and that's exactly what the virtual package provided. We give Jamie ten stars, not five, and we highly recommend working with her!

“Becca was our full time, 40 hours per week nanny from 2021-now. We have a 4 year old and 19 month old twins that she cared for. She also helped around our house with other childcare tasks like laundry, tidying and dishes. She helped with sleep training for all 3, bottle weaning, solid food transition, potty training, you name it! Becca is the absolute best child caregiver. She takes care of kids as if they are her own. She listens to what I think is best for our kids but also offers advice which is a hard balance to find, and one we haven’t found with other caregivers. She has done plenty of overnight care with our children in addition to consistent weekly care. After 11 hours of labor and 14 minutes of pushing, my beautiful daughter entered the world, and any apprehensions about being a young, first-time mother faded in that moment of pure connection. Jenn's reassuring words were a beacon of strength throughout, reminding me of my capabilities even in moments of doubt. Reflecting on my birthing experience, I am filled with gratitude for Jenn's support. Service: Labor and Birth Doula Context: Father, 2nd Child, 1st at-home birth Despite our preparations, our first birth taught us that we can always know, prepare, and expect more. We met Julie in our doula interviews early in our preparations, and with our first home-birth, we knew we needed someone with the knowledge to build our trust, the confidence to direct when needed, and the serenity to alleviate our anxieties. Julie brought every one of those to the table, and more! During our first birth, I couldn't help but feel like a third-wheel, understanding key parts of the birth, but serving mostly as an observer, with the occasional comforting words. In preparation for our 2nd, Julie offered both live Q&As, and preparatory, informative, and engaging classes, which helped prepare not only my wife, but myself in both what to expect and how to engage with each part of the birth. Rather than only observing, or waiting for direction, I became an active participant, predicting and understanding my wife's needs, while also being able to adapt as needed. As labor's frequently do, ours started late in the night, and with a quick call, Julie assessed the situation and determined to come over to help, even in the early stages. As a doula, she helped guide us into active labor, recognizing when we hit hurdles, and confidently and calmly discussed alternative positions and practices. Serving not only as doula, she frequently provided updates that would help our midwife determine how far along we were, and stayed by Laura's side through delivery! In the interest of time, I'll end with an appreciation of Julie's ability to frequently bridge the gap when all the participants became a little too single-minded; Julie would swoop in, suggesting breaks, and even cooking up some delicious meals! Even afterwards, Julie visited and brought a smorgasbord of home-cooked foods, taking the weight off of running a household, and letting my wife, my children, and myself, take time to simply be with each other.
