Working with Wendy was such a gift, especially in the early post partum days. She was 100% reliable, easy to communicate with, and so warm and nurturing to our baby (and to us!). She has a wealth of knowledge about babies, sleep, and feeding. And she will happily share that with you and troubleshoot. But she isn’t overbearing with opinions or recommendations if that’s not what you’re looking for. She made us feel so comfortable leaving our baby in her care so that we could sleep soundly and gave us detailed updates about the night the next morning. And when our baby went through some health issues she was extra attuned to those details and the plan. We would work with her again and again!

Most doulas provide support. I provide something more. I offer a specialist-level guide for the most significant transition of your life. I bring together birth expertise, nervous system-informed coaching, and deep newborn and postpartum knowledge to support women who want to feel genuinely prepared, not just accompanied. My clients don't want a hand to hold... they want someone who can think ahead of their care team, help them navigate decisions with confidence, and be a steady, knowledgeable presence from pregnancy through the fourth trimester. Based in Littleton, I serve the greater Denver metro area with comprehensive birth and postpartum support — and a philosophy rooted in the whole you: your body, your mind, and your specific vision for this season of life. If you're the kind of person who invests in your health and does the work, we're probably a great fit.

I strongly recommend having a doula present at your birth and I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Beth Brooks with Life On Purpose Doulas. She is so amazing with helping bring your baby into the world. She is kind, loving, understanding, knowledgeable, and flexible. She listened to my wants, wishes, and concerns and was able to advocate for me acting in my best interest. We had her as a birth and postpartum doula when our 3rd born and I believe with all my heart that her guidance was the reason I didn’t get postpartum depression again. She was great with my husband (didn’t take the place of him and encouraged his support during the birth) as well as with my other kids- the whole family loved her! I whole heartedly believe in having a doula and Beth is truly incredible. 🙌🏽 We will love and appreciate her forever.

Labor support is powerful. And it’s evidence-based. Hi! My name is Jenny, and I’m a certified birth and postpartum doula serving families throughout the Denver area. Birth can feel overwhelming, exciting, vulnerable, empowering…and sometimes all of those at once. I believe every woman deserves continuous, respectful support during one of the most transformative experiences of her life. After the births of my five daughters, I saw firsthand how deeply continuous support can shape a birth experience. Becoming a doula felt like a natural next step. Whether you’re planning a home birth, hospital birth, epidural, unmedicated birth, or something in between, my role is to offer calm support, evidence-based information, hands-on comfort, and steady presence throughout your journey. I support your choices without judgment or pressure. Birth isn’t something to fear. It’s personal. Powerful. And deeply human. This is your body, your baby, and your birth. You already have everything you need inside you. I’m just here to help you trust it. Truly, Jenny

Jenny is a natural at childbirth. I have many loved ones who have used her service to bring their beautiful babies into the world. She is calm, has common sense, and creates the best, most positive, experience for the mothers. I highly recommend her as a doula for any expectant mother!

Alyssa Lake

Congratulations! My name is Alyssa. I've been a doula since 2013. I became a doula shortly after the birth of my first born when I experienced a tremendous lack of support. I felt alone and isolated and overwhelmed with the contradicting information online. After connecting with other moms within the community, I learned that I wasn't an outlier and this experience was far too common. I studied with Penny Lyon and Ann Pollack in 2013 and became certified with DONA shortly after. Later in 2013, I began working at a local birth center as a midwife assistant to further my medical training. It reaffirmed that I was meant to be a doula serving families within my community. As a certified yoga instructor since 2006, I started integrating Prenatal yoga and doula work. It truly felt like the most comprehensive way to support families by bringing them affective and age old tools to cope with labor pains. Since 2013, I've proudly served over 1000 families. I'm the co-founder of In Joy Birth, a doula training company/agency located in Orlando, Florida. In 2023, I moved my family to the greater Denver area to be close to the mountains where I am currently serving families. I'm passionate about continuing education and am currently working on finishing my Pediatric Sleep Consulting certification. I'm also BLS/CPR certified, and Carrot approved. I work with only one family at a time so that I can provide individualized care to each one of my families.

Alyssa is not only an incredible doula, but also one of the most genuine people I have had the pleasure of knowing. With her vast knowledge of pregnancy and childbirth, she helped me to truly figure out what I wanted and needed. Without her I can't imagine having the incredible birth experience I had! Alyssa's postpartum care is what really sets her apart. She guided me through breastfeeding challenges, fed me nutritious food, and helped around the house to make sure I could rest and focus on my transition to motherhood. It was such an incredible gift to be able to soak in those first days with such peace and support. I am forever grateful for her, and can't recommend her enough!

¡Hola! My name is Karen and I am a fierce advocate for reproductive justice. I love Sistersong’s definition of reproductive justice, which is, “the human right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, have children, not have children, and parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities.” Therefore, I seek to support people within their journey, honoring their bodily autonomy and rights, which is why it is important for me to support birthing people, those seeking to release their pregnancy, and parents wanting to create safe and nurturing environments. I am a Spanish-speaking birth and postpartum doula who is passionate about making sure the birthing person is feeling empowered, liberated, and heard throughout their pregnancy, labor and birth, and postpartum. I am a medicaid-approved birth doula. I am also an abortion companion and will provide you with unbiased, nonjudgemental support and unconditional love. I believe wholeheartedly that your body knows how and what to do, and that you know YOUR body the best, so I will support you in whatever YOU feel is best for you. I know you have a voice and I value that, so I will advocate WITH you. Birth and the transition to parenthood, as well as the postpartum after birth or an abortion (spontaneous or medical) is a mental, physical, and spiritual shift, so I approach my work with clients in a holistic and trauma-informed way. To be a part of your journey is an honor and a privilege and I will treat it as such when you let me hear your story, enter your home, meet your family, and be a part of a transformational moment in your life.

Eloise was worth her weight in gold during a difficult birth that didn't go to plan. My hope was to labor at home as long as possible and to have an unmedicated water birth. However, I unfortunately developed preeclampsia with severe features, which necessitated an emergency induction at 37 weeks and being confined to the bed on a magnesium drip for the duration of the multi-day labor. I called in Eloise for support during a very low point in my labor, when my epidural had failed and dilation had not progressed for hours. Eloise immediately created a peaceful environment with candles, essential oils, and gentle music, and employed massage, heat therapy, and a TENS unit to promote relaxation. In the first three hours after Eloise's arrival, my dilation suddenly advanced from five to over nine centimeters, a fact which I absolutely attribute to the deep sense of safety she provided. When it came time to deliver my son, I was struggling with feeling weak and depleted after a long, overwhelming labor. Eloise calmly encouraged me through each and every contraction during three hours of pushing. I truly believe that there's no way I would have been able to fulfill my goal of having a vaginal birth if not for her steady presence and her guidance on how to make my pushing more effective. In the weeks following the birth, I ended up suffering from a painful and persistent uterine infection. I had not purchased a postpartum package from Eloise, but she continued to check in with me nonetheless, a testament to the genuine care she has for her clients. Having Eloise as my doula was an extraordinary silver lining of a challenging birth experience. My husband and I are so grateful for Eloise and would unreservedly recommend her to anyone.

I am Karee' (car)REE, ya' homegirl who just so happens to be, a full spectrum doula, energy healer, Level II Reiki Practitioner, and Womb Wellness practitioner. Also known as The Original Coochie Gangster of The OCG Collective. I've been blessed to do the work of the women—whether that's helping a woman reconnect to her womb through ceremony, supporting a mother and family through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, termination, and/or the grand transition we know as death. My mission is to hold a sacred space where I can support and empower individuals through the divinely guided transitions they choose to share with me.

Recent review

Karee is the kind of doula who will go the extra mile to support you. I found her just two weeks before I gave birth, and she immediately made sure everything was ready for a safe and positive birth experience. Karee provided gentle, skilled massages before, during, and after birth, which made a world of difference in my comfort and recovery. She also included yoni steaming at no extra cost, such a generous and nurturing touch. I felt supported physically, mentally and emotionally by her. Leading up to birth, she helped me feel prepared and confident. During labor, she stayed right by my side, encouraging me and ensuring I was coping well. Karee held space for all of it, the pain, the overwhelming changes, and the flood of feelings that come with becoming a mother. She truly recognized what I was going through and provide words of wisdom. I have said enough so Karee is the one.

Hello! My name is Laura Rayford and I am a DONA certified birth doula in the Bay Area. I am passionate about guiding birthing people with nurturing and empowering support; working together towards your ideal birthing experience. I have completed two birth doula trainings. One through Hospital Friendly Doulas (which has allowed me to work as a volunteer doula at Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley, CA) and the other with Sierra Birth Institute (a training approved by DONA). Both provided me with invaluable information and numerous tools which allow me to confidently support birthing people and their families.Prior to working as a doula, I worked as a nanny for 15+ years. I have always been drawn to working closely with families and giving children the best possible care. For me, this naturally led me to doula work, helping new little people be brought into the world by their capable, brave and extraordinary birthing parent. I am excited and passionate about this work and deeply appreciate your considering inviting me into such a personal and powerful chapter of your life.

Recent review

Laura was an outstanding doula both during the prepartum phase and the delivery. She was very responsive and attentive to our needs. She has shown extreme dedication and passion for the process of delivery, and has provided useful education, all the way through birth. We are so thankful she was there to help us, and has made our delivery as stress free as possible.

Hi, I’m Mitzi — a Denver-based postpartum doula and wellness practitioner providing gentle, holistic daytime care rooted in tradition, compassion, and practical support. As a mother watching my own two sons grow, I know how fast and precious the early days are, and how much care parents need during this transformation. I specialize in traditional Mexican postpartum practices designed to restore warmth, energy, and strength after birth. My goal is to honor your physical healing, create a peaceful home environment, and help you feel confident throughout the fourth trimester. I take an intuitive, proactive approach so you never have to manage me or hand over a to-do list. I step in where support is needed most—whether that’s tending to your baby so you can get uninterrupted rest, preparing a nourishing meal, or tidying up. Whether you need hands-on infant care, light household support, or traditional recovery rituals, I am here to ensure your entire family feels grounded, supported, and nurtured. Outside of supporting families, you’ll usually find me tending to my garden or reconnecting with my Hispanic roots, which deeply shapes how I care for others.

Mitzi was a great support during my postpartum period. She provided helpful advice, guided me through recovery, and made me feel comfortable asking questions. The rebozo massages and cupping therapy she did were relaxing and really helped my body recover. She was professional, attentive, and caring, and it was clear how much she genuinely cares for both mother and baby. My little one loved her too, she handled him with such gentleness and warmth. I would definitely recommend Mitzi to any new mother looking for supportive, thoughtful, and skilled postpartum care.

I was looking for a doula who could offer not only professional guidance to help me navigate birth and cope with labor without an epidural, as naturally as possible, but also someone who could advocate for me and my baby and be a warm, reassuring companion. Going through pregnancy away from home and without the moral support of my family, I needed that emotional support more than I can express. Beth gave me exactly that. She has this incredible warmth that made me feel, “I’ve got you.” From the very beginning, she gave me confidence, comfort, and a sense that I wasn’t going through this alone. Beyond her big heart and the warmth she brings, Beth is also incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. I always felt safe, heard, and relaxed with her and that is so important during one of the most stressful, exciting, and life-changing experiences you can go through. I’m so grateful to have had Beth by my side and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for not just a doula, but someone who truly cares about you and your baby.

— Anastasia, review of Beth Brooks September 2026

I can’t recommend my doula enough!!! As a single mom, having her with me during my birth was incredibly important and made such a difference. She was always present, calm, and very attentive. What stood out the most was how well she could anticipate my needs. Many times, she would notice that I was tired, uncomfortable, or needed something before I even had to ask. She seemed to always be one step ahead and knew exactly when to step in and help. She also communicated really well with me and the hospital staff, and everyone on the unit seemed to love her. I always felt supported and cared for, and I never felt like I was going through the experience alone. I’m so grateful I had her by my side and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula!
