I’ve always had a passion for taking care of others, so, no matter what season of motherhood you are in, first baby or beyond you deserve to be heard, seen and loved on. I’m currently taking Post Partum Doula training courses to help educate myself how to help families get to know, understand and bond with their baby. I would love to help you with light housework, errands, babies' laundry, watching baby while you take a well-deserved nap or shower and make you a home cooked meal. Overnights are also available, so you get a good night's sleep while I care for your little one. I’m a work from home mom and I had my first baby in June of 2023! My husband and I have been married since 2022 and we’ve grown up in Kansas City our whole life. I’ve been passionate about birth since I saw my mother birth her last two children about 10 years ago and noticed how much women need advocates and support during pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum! Since then, I’ve been trained as a doula through GEM (Global Education of the Midwife) and have been pursuing a postpartum doula course as well. I hope to provide my clients with all the information necessary to empower them to make informed decisions about their birth plan/goals. If a client is open to it, I also love my Christian faith and try to implement that in areas of my work as well.

What we talk about in session depends on what your goals are. We work collaboratively- I am not a therapist who is going to nod and say “mmmhmmmm” or ask you to “tell me how that makes you feel” to everything you say. I understand therapy is a time and a financial investment and I want it to be useful for you. Your treatment also includes my collaboration with your other care providers such as your OB/midwife, psychiatrist, etc. Clients tend to reach out for my help with EMDR treatment of birth trauma, their NICU experiences, fertility struggles, and relationships. I am also honored to work with clients who have/are experiencing perinatal loss or are pregnant after perinatal loss(es). I have found that I work very well with women whose own parents were nonexistent, absent, had substance use issues, or were emotionally/physically abusive. Together we talk about what your experience of being parented was like and how it impacted you, and then make a plan for how you want to parent. Also, if you already know that you are predisposed to postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) by having depression, anxiety, or trauma, we will begin counseling while you are pregnant to reduce your risk of PMADs in the postpartum period.

No matter what your journey is - breastfeeding, chestfeeding, pumping, or combination feeding - your goals are the center of the care plan. I specialize in pumping plans and tongue ties and love to create a plan for feeding your baby that works for YOU.
