I specialize in perinatal anxiety & mood disorders (PMAD) and provide education, resources, and support for those who think they may, or are already experiencing PMAD's. This transition is hard. It's not just welcoming home a new baby, it's radically accepting a new identity, a new routine, a new personality of yourselves. My services are designed to nurture, empower, and educate families as they navigate one of the most profound transitions of their lives. Beyond birthwork, I am a certified peristeam facilitator trained through Steamy Chick, following my own positive experiences with vaginal steaming for menstrual wellness. In 2021, I earned certification as a lactation support counselor, with a focus on bridging gaps in breastfeeding support for Black families and fostering a more inclusive, informed community. I am also a Pregnancy and Infant Loss Advocate, dedicated to providing compassionate, affirming support for individuals and families navigating grief and loss, an area of care that is deeply needed and too often overlooked. As a support group facilitator, I create intentional, trauma-informed spaces where participants are encouraged to share openly, build community, and move from isolation toward connection and strength. Currently, I am expanding my knowledge as an amateur herbalist, reconnecting with the healing traditions of my Black Southern heritage and grounding my practice in holistic wellness. I may not be able to change every outcome, but I believe deeply in my ability to make a meaningful impact in my community, one birth, one family, and one moment at a time.

Sarah is a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and Licensed midwife (LM) Virginia. She brings deep passion and dedication to the birth world, with a mission to create positive change, one birth at a time. From a young age, Sarah felt called to support families, though it took time to find the path that aligned with her heart. It wasn’t until she joined the ARMY and had her first child that she realized birth didn’t have to look like what society or Hollywood often portrays. That experience sparked a fire in her to help women understand that God designed their bodies with strength and purpose! While still serving in the military, Sarah supported three fellow soldiers through their birthing journeys. After completing her service in 2012, she became a doula and birth photographer, then soon after, a Certified StillBirthday Doula, walking alongside families through both joyful and heartbreaking births. Her commitment deepened with time, and after much prayer and reflection, she felt a strong calling to pursue midwifery and became a CPM. Sarah is passionate about empowering mothers to trust their bodies, their instincts, and their faith. Her guiding belief: “Peace on Earth begins with birth.” She is blessed with a loving husband, four beautiful children, and two angel babies. A devoted follower of Christ, Sarah finds joy in the simple things like family time, homeschooling, and serving at her church. Raising Godly children has always been one of her highest callings.
