I’m Em - mama of many, wife to my best friend and new homestead-er. I created my photography business in 2018 not knowing exactly what I wanted to capture, I just knew I wanted to help those in my community save their memories for a lifetime. Fast forward to 2021, I attended my first birth, a sweet home birth. After that I know that birth work was exactly what I was looking for - it has become my passion. In winter of 2022 I got my doula certification to serve local mamas during their pregnancy, labor and postpartum. Hi there! I am Amie Ivy - Birth & Postpartum Doula. My journey into birth work started with the birth of my first son in 2012. I was fortunate to have been surrounded by amazing, supportive women from my own family to the Midwife, Doula, and Chiropractor that I chose. I am a labor/postpartum support serving families in the DFW area. My pursuit to maternal health education began six years ago when I experienced a homebirth of my third child. The following year, I supported a community member birth at the hospital and witnessed the differences between midwife facilitating brith at home and a midwife facilitating birth at a hospital. My research to find answers led me to learning about the history and the foundation of obstetrics in the United States.
