Hello there and congratulations! I am a homeschooling mama to four girls and a lover of all things birth. I believe that birth is a natural process and I love helping empower couples as they welcome their babies into the world. I’ve been teaching natural childbirth classes for 12 years, attending births as a doula for 7 years, and am now studying to become a homebirth midwife. If you want someone who is going to be a positive, uplifting voice throughout your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, I’d love to be that for you.

Jackie has been such an answered prayer for me and my family. I heard about her through mutual friends, reached out, and quickly met with her to go over my birth history, trauma, and hopes for my VBAC. I wanted an unmedicated VBAC, and with her support, I got that experience in the end. She listened deeply, cared sincerely, and that was evident throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She is steady and helped me stay grounded. She never made anything feel like an emergency unless it truly was. Anytime I needed support, information, encouragement, or help making decisions, she was there immediately with wisdom, resources, and alternatives. I also took her birth classes and learned so much that helped me stay confident and informed throughout my pregnancy. I especially loved how she shared her own birth experiences in such an authentic and encouraging way. During the final weeks before labor, I leaned on her DAILY for encouragement and support. She reminded me that my body wasn’t broken after my first birth and helped me learn to trust it again. During labor, she held my hand through contractions, encouraged me constantly, and helped me stay calm and focused. Postpartum, she continued showing up by bringing food, holding my baby, and answering questions during those early weeks. One of the things I appreciated most was sharing faith in Christ throughout the experience. Having a doula who carried herself with such peace, encouragement, and genuine faith was incredibly comforting and meaningful to me. She is authentic, compassionate, and truly loves what she does. I’m forever grateful for her support and will absolutely continue recommending her to everyone I know. I hope she helps me birth all the rest of my babies too!

Sara McAdoo

Hi! I’m Sara McAdoo and I am a certified birth doula and a prenatal yoga instructor in the Kansas City area and am passionate about families honoring God in their births. I am a wife, mother to 4 amazing young kids, homeschooler, avid baker, budding herbalist, gardener, bzzzy beekeeper, and backyard chicken keeper. I create herbal teas specifically for the pregnant and postpartum mama (Gen 1:29-30). I am active in our church, especially in the children’s department. I enjoy making sourdough, baking goody treats, spending time in my garden, visiting local farmers markets, and volunteering in children’s church and children’s quizzing at our local church. I am passionate about helping moms and partners feel empowered and confident about their birth decisions all throughout the pregnancy and postpartum journey! My journey to become a doula came from my own experiences of birth, growth, faith, and support. My first birth experience ended up being a cesarean birth. At age 35, I knew I wanted to try for a VBAC with my second. My provider said they supported it but they also wanted me to schedule a c-section just in case. At 39 weeks, I was not being supported by my birth provider and with the help of my doula, I switched providers and had a successful and fully supported natural VBAC in the hospital. My last 2 births were at home surrounded with love and support and calm. Through my personal experiences, I want to educate, support, and empower moms and families to believe in themselves and surrender to this amazing birth they desire.

There aren’t words to describe how grateful we are for Sara and her wisdom, encouragement, and steady confidence throughout my pregnancy, the birth of our baby boy, and even now postpartum. We are eternally grateful for her involvement in this crazy wonderful experience and cannot imagine it without her. What meant the most to me was Sara’s care in taking the time to get to know US (both my husband and I) and the birth experience we envisioned. It was very important to me that my husband was able to be my primary support person and that he felt fully equipped to do so - Sara absolutely made that happen, and my husband was able to be 100% present and involved in every moment. Sara really went above and beyond for us at every stage of pregnancy and the birthing process, somehow knowing what both my husband and I needed before we even did. By the time of our son’s birth, we felt so comfortable with Sara and were able to achieve the beautiful, unmedicated birth we prayed for - she instilled so much confidence in me and the body and baby God gave me. We will absolutely be using Sara as our doula for our next baby!! Would recommend her over and over again.
