Hello, I have been a Birth and Postpartum Doula for a little over a year! I have had the pleasure to be present for 20 beautiful births! Before I became a doula I was a nanny for special needs children and I also had a child development associates degree and I was a preschool teacher. I love children and have been around children from birth to 18 years old. I also ran my own in home daycare. I am a loving mother to 5 beautiful children aged 17 years old to 2 years old!! Bridget is the founder and owner of Abundant Joy. With a passion for working with and advocating for people of all ages and backgrounds, she has taught in the public school system, assisted in resettling refugees, counseled trafficked women, and has worked to raise well-rounded, healthy children in her role as a professional nanny. With over 21 years of experience caring for children and providing education and support to the parents she worked alongside, many of Bridget’s close friends requested her support during their birth. Bridget was often asked to stay overnight to provide friends with her steady, upbeat, and positive presence–in their living room or in a hospital room. These long nights allowed her to listen to the birthing mamas, help them sort out what their goals and options were, and allowed Bridget to advocate for them to make sure they felt comfortable and had their needs met. Bridget has found that women have more positive birth outcomes when a doula is present throughout labor and delivery. These experiences made it clear to Bridget that her talents and passion lie in doula work. Birth is unpredictable by nature, and Bridget has worked with single moms, families, and teams of medical professionals in order to help parents to be present in the moment. My second was the first of 3 redeeming and beautiful home births, and that experience is what ignited my passion for birth. I wanted to be a midwife for several years but that wasn't in the cards. It was years later, shortly after making the move to pursue photography, that I found my passion in birth photography. From there, my desire to support and encourage birthing families only grew, and I sought out certification as a doula. Obviously I love being there when a sweet little soul makes its debut. Hello! My name is Serena, and I am a labor doula, placenta encapsulator, and postpartum doula! I have 3 dogs and 2 cats, and if I’m not working I'm usually with them watching TV. My all time favorite shows are Doctor Who and New Girl, though I’m sure you’d have a hard time finding a show I haven’t seen! I also enjoy reading, hiking, playing games, and spending time with my family. My first step into the doula world was becoming a Postpartum doula. This felt very natural to me, as I have been working in childcare for what feels like my whole life! I started off babysitting for my siblings and my parent’s friends when I was younger, became a teacher in the infant room of a daycare at 18, and a postpartum doula at 21. I decided to step into this field because I love helping families adjust to having a new little one! Supporting labor and delivery was a natural transition as I began working as a doula and stepping more and more into the birthing world. Labor and delivery is truly one of the most beautiful and fascinating events I’ve had the honor of witnessing, and I knew instantly that this is exactly what I was meant to do. That’s such a hard question to answer! For postpartum work, I’d have to say it’s the moments when something finally clicks into place. There's always some trial and error with each baby since they each have their own preferences and personalities, but I love the moments when you figure out how they like to be burped, the quickest way to get them sleeping, which formula works for them, and everything in between! I know it's not possible for me to fix every problem that arises, but it always such a relief when I can help with one. Adjusting to this new chapter of your life can be such a chaotic time, and I truly believe it takes a village! For birth work, my favorite part is seeing birthing people reach deep inside themselves and finding strength they never knew they had. The absolute relief and joy I can see on their face as they hold their little one in their arms for the first time always brings tears to my eyes.

Hi! I'm Noelle and I'm a birth and postpartum doula. I was born and raised on an island off the coast of Maine and grew up with Acadia National Park as my backyard. As a former Air Force spouse, I have traveled and lived in some of the most beautiful places in the United States. My family and I moved to San Antonio in 2019. I enjoy spending my free time with my 3 wonderful kiddos, big fur baby goldendoodle, and husband. I love to read, hike, travel, and bake. As a former military spouse, I realized the resources and support available to those families were limited. I gave birth to my first baby far away from my friends/family in a new place. I suffered from PPD/PPA and a few years later as a part of my healing, I decided to look into how I could help others like me. I switched my career field and became a doula -- immediately I knew I was doing the work that healed my soul and would help so many others.

I love all things nature and outdoors - minus the heat and mosquitos. My family and my faith are a huge part of my life. When I’m not at a birth, at church or in the gym, you can find me dancing in the kitchen with my hubby and toddler. We’re a spontaneous and adventurous family, always trying new things and constantly making s’mores in the backyard. Life is a precious gift and I’m always finding ways to soak it all in. The deep desire to serve and love on mamas during a crucial time in their lives. That’s what brought me to doula work. The longing to help make every birth beautiful - to help every birthing person be heard and cared for. Before I was a doula, I worked briefly at the Freeman Coliseum and a bridal expo!
