I'm Mandee, the owner of "She Must Be Loved Doula Services" My name "Mandee" translates to “she must be loved” or “worthy of love,” which inspired the title of my christian based private doula practice: She Must Be Loved Doula Services. I firmly believe that every mother deserves to feel cherished throughout her journey into motherhood, from preparation to the birthing experience and beyond. While I value the moments spent with newborns, my primary focus is on supporting and uplifting mothers. Although I am newer to the role of a doula -I believe I bring valuable insights derived from my doula training that acquired through the "A woman who serves" doula training program, virtual and in-person care I've provided, as well as my personal experiences as a mother of three daughters. My first daughter was born in London, England; my second in Boston, Massachusetts; and my third in Dublin, Ohio. Throughout this journey, I have been fortunate to receive prenatal midwifery care, with my first daughter delivered by midwives and, continued midwifery support for my subsequent children. The knowledge I gained from this experience was invaluable. Unfortunately, my exceptional midwife could not attend the birth of my second daughter, and I was cared for by an OBGYN. This experience taught me the vital importance of receiving love and compassion from your care provider during childbirth. Despite feeling mistreated by the OBGYN in Boston, I recognize my inherent worthiness of love and compassion, which I strive to extend to others. My third daughter was also delivered with the assistance of an OBGYN here in Ohio. That experience was notably more positive because I found my voice, and my husband and I became strong advocates for my needs and desires. I have learned a lot from my birthing experiences, both overseas and in the United States. I am dedicated to ensuring that other women have the best possible birthing experience. A mother must feel loved to foster a positive and empowering environment. The four pillars of doula support include physical support, emotional support, informational support, and advocacy. Additionally, I aspire to introduce a fifth pillar that holds special significance for me: spiritual support. I’m Lea. A wife, mother, and birth doula (DONA trained). Long before I found birth work, I found myself drawn to supporting women through transformation. I began my career as a fitness coach after spending years healing my own relationship with my body and food. As I learned and grew, it became deeply meaningful to help other women navigate their own journeys with confidence and self-trust. Over time, I felt called to go deeper. I continued my education and began working with women through mindset and trauma-informed healing. My passion became helping women reconnect with themselves, uncover who they truly were beneath the noise, and step into the next chapter of their lives with intention. That work eventually led me to host transformational retreats in Costa Rica, guiding women through some of the most meaningful seasons of growth and change. Then came my own transformation: motherhood. After experiencing pregnancy, birth, and postpartum for myself, everything clicked into place. My doula played such an important role in my journey, and becoming a mother changed me in ways I never could have anticipated. Looking back, I can see that every chapter of my work had been preparing me for this one. Birth is about so much more than having a baby. It is a threshold. A crossing-over. A moment that asks something of you and leaves you forever changed. Supporting women through that transformation feels like the most natural expression of everything I’ve ever cared about.
