My journey in newborn care began in Jamaica, where I worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over six years on the island’s largest neonatal unit. This experience gave me invaluable hands-on knowledge and confidence caring for newborns with a wide range of needs, while teaching me the importance of patience, attentiveness, safety and compassionate care.
