Dionne Johnson Background checked · Sep 2026 Popular: among the most-viewed newborn care specialists in Pennsylvania, last 60 days

As a certified ProDoula, I provide compassionate and personalized support to mothers, newborns, and families during the postpartum period. The early weeks after welcoming a baby can bring both joy and adjustment, and my goal is to help families feel confident, supported, and cared for during this special time. I offer hands-on assistance with newborn care, breastfeeding support, emotional encouragement, and light household organization. My role is to create a calm and nurturing environment where parents can rest, recover, and focus on bonding with their baby while gaining confidence in their parenting journey. Whether you are a first-time parent or welcoming another child into your family, I am dedicated to making the postpartum transition smoother, more peaceful, and empowering for both mother and family.

Recent review

I'm so grateful to Dionne for the incredible support she provided. She is kind, empathetic and has a natural nurturing presence. Her calmness and gentle demeanor immediately made me feel comfortable and made it easy to trust her with my baby's care. She consistently went above and beyond, staying late to help me get through a tough morning, checking in between visits just to see how we were doing and anticipating needs I didn't even know to ask for. She is an exceptional person.

Zoe Jasper

Hello! I'm Zoe Jasper (she/her), a certified birth, postpartum, and community doula living in Philly. My path to birth work started with attending an abortion doula training as a college student, which led me to realize my passion for supporting people through the entire spectrum of pregnancy outcomes. After going on to work as a teacher, nanny, and union organizer, I completed my birth and postpartum training through Maternity Care Coalition’s Community Doula and Lactation Program. My training gave me a strong foundation in community centered and culturally responsive practices. As a queer woman and a doula, I am committed to supporting all kinds of pregnant people and family structures in their unique journeys to becoming parents. I see this work as a necessary intervention in a medical system that all too often dehumanizes birthing parents and neglects the process of informed consent. All parents deserve to feel safe, respected, and affirmed. My goal is always to instill in my clients a sense of their own agency and power. I offer guidance in creating a birth experience that aligns with your vision and unconditional compassion as you navigate the perinatal period. Through evidence-based prenatal education, continuous, hands-on support during labor, and encouragement as you adjust to life with a newborn, I am in your corner every step of the way. Outside of birth work, you can find me spending time with my cat, organizing with the Philadelphia Tenants Union, singing badly at karaoke bars, and bopping around West Philly.

Recent review

Zoe is incredible. From prenatal to postpartum, Zoe makes sure you are informed, safe, and taken care of. She helped us advocate for ourselves during our induction. When it came time for delivery, she took control of the room, keeping us calm and focused. Zoe is knowledgeable, confident, and deeply compassionate. We could not have done this without her. We would work with her again and again and again.

Katelyn McGuinness

Hello! I’m Katie! I am certified birth and postpartum doula(DONA).I am located in South Park, Pa. I have been working with little ones for about 15 years and I have been in the birth field for about 3 of those years. I absolutely love supporting families! I have all clearances, CPR certification, and am extremely reliable. On top of being a private doula I also work at Magee Women’s hospital as a prenatal and birth doula for the last three years supporting over a hundred births at this point! Being part of someone’s birth journey is always such an honor. I try to bring a calm and confident presence in the room to help you with all of your birth goals; and help you to have the birth you imagined. If I’m not at a birth or helping a family overnight with their new bundle of joy; you would find me with my little family. My husband and I have been married since 2017 and we have a little boy who is almost 6 years old! Some of our favorite things are camping, going to the movies and vacations to Disney world !

Recent review

Working with Katie as a night time postpartum doula was truly invaluable during our newborn stage. Those first few weeks can be exhausting, and having professional overnight support made all the difference in our family’s well-being. I was able to rest knowing my baby was in experienced, attentive, and caring hands. She handled feedings, diaper changes, and soothing with such calm confidence, and always kept me informed while still allowing me the uninterrupted sleep I desperately needed. She also helped in my breastfeeding journey as she would bring the baby to me and put the baby back in the bassinet for me so I never had to leave the bed. I highly recommend Katie to anyone looking for compassionate, professional, and dependable night time postpartum support. It was one of the best investments we made for our family.

Hi, I'm Ranelle but you can call me Rae. I am the momma of three little loves, and the wife to a husband who is so loving, supportive and equally compassionate about women's rights and birth work as I am.   I love life and the human body has always amazed me, so much that biology was my major at the University of Akron. If I’m not researching something birth related, listening to birth related podcasts, watching birthing videos, or using my voice to bring awareness to the blaring maternal mortality and health rates and disparities, I’m chasing  my three babies, or at a sporting event with my hubs!   My my drive comes from my calling, my passion comes from my own experience. While always desiring to be a birth worker from a tiny tot, as an adult, I experienced two devastating losses, and two very traumatic births. Seeing how broken the system is and how intense I had to advocate for basic care was so deeply disappointing and beyond scary, especially as a black woman. I have made it my life's mission to leave an imprint in birth work that defines positive changes in birth outcomes.

Recent review

Rae was incredible. She made sure my wife always felt supported and never forgot to check in on me too, which meant a lot. Even after the delivery, she stayed present and continued to be there for us. We were so impressed that we’ve already secured her for baby number two!

Recent review

Lauren Cordon was amazing. I went into labor early, before I could even have a full consultation with her. She still immediately left to come to the hospital so I wouldn't be alone through the labor, as I'm a single mother. She stayed from when I was 6cm dilated until an hour after the birth, making sure I was good for her to leave even then. She showed support, constantly checking up on me through the process, holding my hand as needed, getting me whatever items I needed like my drinks or phone etc. She has medical knowledge, and was able to answer questions I had about the labor process, what certain equipment and such were in the room, and when I had a medical emergency during contractions, she immediately jumped to help the medical staff how she could, getting any items and furniture out of the way to make room, seeing what she could do for the staff, and making sure I was comfortable still. When my daughter was born, she made sure to take pictures for me when she was getting weighed and measured, as I was stuck in the bed and couldnt do it myself. She also messaged my parents when I asked her to, to keep them updated. After the birth, she kept in touch, making sure I knew she was still here for me, and that I knew what all her services offered, including 5 postpartum sessions in the first 3 months following the birth. I have yet to use these sessions but it is a very helpful thing to offer. I highly recommend this company and this specific doula.

Nia Nchami Popular: among the most-viewed doulas in Pennsylvania, last 60 days

My name is Nia Rose, I am a WHOLElistic doula where I take into consideration the whole (spiritual, mental, physical and emotional) aspect of pregnancy and birth. My practice evolves around meeting my clients wherever they are at and being alongside them as they journey into parenthood. I love to incorporate what I have learned from previous experiences as I learn and grow along my journey into birth work. I would love to chat with you to determine if we will be a good fit!

Recent review

I hired Nia Nchami as a doula for the birth of my second daughter in 2022. After an initial conversation via email, she came to our house and really listened to my concerns, fears and hopes for my delivery. She took extensive notes and created a birth plan that truly encapsulated what I wanted for the birth. We stayed in contact for several months and talked more frequently as my due day neared. When the day came, she was a force of nature. She kept me calm and confident. She helped me to navigate the birthing process. But most importantly, advocated for me with my doctors, nurses and healthcare staff to ensure that I received the best care. I can truly say that I had a much better experience giving birth than the first time and Nia was a big reason why. She is extremely professional, but also calm and caring. I’m so glad that I found her!

Davona Pacley

Peace, my name is DaVona Pacley (she/her) and I am a Certified Birth, Postpartum and Bereavement Doula located in Erie, Pennsylvania. I am also the owner of Flow Freely, a holistic wellness space offering Doula support, Reiki energy healing, and meditation services. As a Black, queer person, creating a safe, intentional, and inclusive space for all birthing folk especially my fellow Black and LGBTQIA communities is at the heart of my work. At Flow Freely, I honor the healing power of transformation. I provide guidance, support, and resources to help you feel seen, empowered, and confident in your birth journey. My approach is rooted in respect, compassion, sisterly support, and inclusive care; offering a brave space for you to grow, authentically express yourself, and feel at home within your body and your journey.

Recent review

Davona was my doula for my first birth - she was invaluable and I credit her with a huge role in making things go as smoothly as possible. I was induced and ultimately needed to have a C-section for failure to progress, which was not my ideal birth experience. Davona was extremely knowledgeable about the process and helped me to talk things through before deciding to proceed with the C-section, factoring in my own preferences and advocating for me during the hustle and bustle of prepping for surgery. She was also a huge support for my own support people - my husband and my mom - who were worried about me and the process. If I have more children, I will certainly request Davona to be my doula again!

Randalyn Hill-Coffer

My journey to postpartum work was long and winding like postpartum itself. When I was pregnant with my daughter I knew due to location that my postpartum village would be slim. I took it largely upon myself to do what I could to prepare for that season with intention. I made meals, I organized visitors, we worked around my husband’s time off. It was the best we could do, and it was so special. A few weeks into my own postpartum, I was in the kitchen reheating a nutrient dense dinner when it hit me... “every mom deserves this.” With a baby sleeping on my chest and the timer going off, I had no direction forward, but from that moment the calling was placed on my heart. I pursued my postpartum training through Uncovering Birth in the fall of 2025 and I'm honored to be a vessel for this scared space to moms who are ready to rewrite the story.

Recent review

Randalyn was a huge help after I gave birth to my son. As this was my first birth, I physically and mentally did not know what I was in for during the postpartum period on top of taking care of a newborn. Not only did Randalyn cater to my recovery needs but she lifted weight off my shoulders with prepared meals, snacks that supported my breastfeeding journey along with pumping education. Randalyn offered me calming support and judgement free guidance that boosted my confidence as a first time mom. Because of Randalyn I could rest, heal and actually enjoy the newborn phase. I can’t recommend her enough!

Rachel Murphy

Hi, I’m Rachel! I’m a birth doula based in Perkiomenville, PA, and I love supporting families in both Montgomery and Bucks counties. My passion for this work comes from wanting to help parents feel cared for and confident as they step into the big transition of welcoming a new baby. As your doula, I’ll be there to support both you and your partner—helping you feel calm, prepared, and confident through birth and into postpartum. Think of me as a steady, reassuring presence by your side throughout the whole journey. When I’m not at a birth, you’ll usually find me outside with my husband and daughter, soaking up the fresh air. And in quieter moments, I love to knit—especially baby blankets, which have become my favorite little keepsakes to make.

Recent review

Rachel is exceptional. Working with her as our Doula for my first pregnancy was the best decision my husband and I made. She provided valuable prenatal education and resources along with being readily available to answer questions and discuss anything I was concerned about. During labor, Rachel served as a kind, steady and calming cheerleader and coach not just for me, but for my husband as well. He felt just as supported and cared for as I did. I had a long and difficult labor that ended with a C-section and I do not exaggerate when I say that I wouldn’t have survived without Rachel. She did everything from walking my husband through different comfort measures to help me, to holding me through the epidural procedure, and feeding me honey sticks to help keep my energy up. She was a calming and encouraging presence through our biggest life change of becoming parents. I deeply appreciated that postpartum visits are part of what Rachel offers. Those meetings were so helpful in processing through the birth experience and all that comes with postpartum healing and caring for a newborn. Rachel is a life saver and just a genuinely wonderful person. I highly recommend working with her!

Recent review

I had such a positive experience working with Brooke! She provided support throughout pregnancy, labor and delivery, and after baby's birth. Brooke empowered me to express my needs and preferences which led to a positive birthing experience. Her calming presence in the delivery room helped ease my anxiety during the birth of my first child. She stayed with us after baby was born until we were settled in a postpartum room and made sure everyone was comfortable before leaving. Brooke truly cares for her clients and is passionate about her work. I would highly recommend her to anyone expecting!

I had the pleasure of working with Shannon in the fall of 2023 until the delivery of my first child in January 2024. As a first time mother, it was so helpful having Shannon guide me through what to expect during all stages of labor, delivery and the 4th trimester. Shannon is incredibly knowledgeable, patient and kind. Her calming nature really came in handy in the delivery room! With Shannon’s knowledge and support, me and my husband had the tools to advocate for ourselves during the prenatal appointments and in the delivery room. As a mother of four, grandmother of six, and former foster parent to many babies, including those with medical needs, caring for families has always been close to my heart. At HoneyMama Doulas, my mission is to provide compassionate, nonjudgmental support that helps families feel confident, cared for, and rested during the postpartum journey. Whether you need overnight newborn care, NICU-informed support, or a little extra help settling into life with your new baby, I’m here to walk alongside you with warmth and understanding. 💛

Recent review

We truly can’t say enough wonderful things about Becky. She was with our family overnight until our son was six weeks old, and was such a special part of those early weeks postpartum. Becky has such a warm, calm, and reassuring presence, and from the beginning she felt like the perfect fit for our family. She was communicative, kind, dependable, and someone we trusted completely with our newborn. Having her in our home always felt easy and natural. I was breastfeeding, and Becky helped me figure out a schedule that allowed me to get longer stretches of sleep while still keeping up with feeding and pumping. She would bag and store my milk, take care of my pump parts, and handle all of those little overnight tasks so I could get back to sleep as quickly as possible. Having that extra rest made such a difference in helping me recover and feel more like myself during those first several weeks postpartum. More than anything, Becky genuinely cared for our whole family. Our son loved her, our toddler loved her, and we always felt completely comfortable knowing our baby was in her care. She became such a seamless part of our family during a really special and vulnerable time. We were so sad when our time with her came to an end at six weeks, and we truly miss having her here every day. We feel incredibly lucky that Becky was part of our son’s first weeks and would recommend her wholeheartedly to any family looking for warm, trustworthy, and compassionate postpartum support.
