Seventeen years ago, she decided to become a birth & postpartum doula after working closely for years with her own grandmother, who was a midwife. When she was expecting her first child she knew she wanted to strictly breastfeed. After a traumatic birth her baby was taken to the NICU, and a challenging nursing journey began.
