I support all types of births—unmedicated, medicated, and C-sections—as well as pregnancy loss as a bereavement doula. As a mother of two, my journey began in 2015 after a traumatic birth experience and the loss of my son. I am the momma of three little loves, and the wife to a husband who is so loving, supportive and equally compassionate about women's rights and birth work as I am.   I love life and the human body has always amazed me, so much that biology was my major at the University of Akron. If I’m not researching something birth related, listening to birth related podcasts, watching birthing videos, or using my voice to bring awareness to the blaring maternal mortality and health rates and disparities, I’m chasing  my three babies, or at a sporting event with my hubs!   My my drive comes from my calling, my passion comes from my own experience. While always desiring to be a birth worker from a tiny tot, as an adult, I experienced two devastating losses, and two very traumatic births. Seeing how broken the system is and how intense I had to advocate for basic care was so deeply disappointing and beyond scary, especially as a black woman. I have made it my life's mission to leave an imprint in birth work that defines positive changes in birth outcomes.

Hello! I’m Katie! I am certified birth and postpartum doula(DONA).I am located in South Park, Pa. I have been working with little ones for about 15 years and I have been in the birth field for about 3 of those years. I absolutely love supporting families! I have all clearances, CPR certification, and am extremely reliable. On top of being a private doula I also work at Magee Women’s hospital as a prenatal and birth doula for the last three years supporting over a hundred births at this point! Being part of someone’s birth journey is always such an honor. I try to bring a calm and confident presence in the room to help you with all of your birth goals; and help you to have the birth you imagined. If I’m not at a birth or helping a family overnight with their new bundle of joy; you would find me with my little family.
