Whitney was incredible throughout my pregnancy. After having four children already, I knew having a doula for my final pregnancy was essential. From our very first meeting, she was knowledgeable and shared helpful information, even things I hadn’t considered before. When I thought I was going into labor in the middle of the night, she went above and beyond by coming to pick me up and take me to the hospital so I didn’t have to wake my kids. I know this isn’t something she typically does, which made it even more meaningful that she made that exception for me. Although I ended up needing a cesarean and couldn’t have her present for the delivery, she continued to be an amazing support afterward. During our early postpartum visits, she went above and beyond helping tidy my home and even preparing dinner for my family. That level of care meant so much during such a demanding time. She is truly an amazing person and an exceptional doula. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Hi, I’m Melanie Powell—certified doula, childbirth educator, author of From Fear to First Cry, and the founder of both Little Flower Birth Services and the non-profit Under His Wings Collective. As a mother myself, I know firsthand that bringing a child into the world is one of the most profound, transformative journeys you will ever take. But I also know it can bring up deep questions, past fears, and medical anxieties. That is why my life’s work is dedicated to walking beside women and their partners, ensuring you never have to navigate the medical landscape alone. Through Little Flower Birth Services, my practice is rooted in three core pillars: Advocacy to help your partner step into their role as your protector, Sanctuary to guard your peace with a protective "Baby Bubble," and Autonomy to honor your God-given intuition through a trauma-informed framework. Whether I'm teaching evidence-based physiological birth classes, coaching partners in our signature advocacy workshops, or offering quiet, steadfast support in the delivery room, my goal is to transform your anxieties into your greatest strengths. Beyond my private practice, my heart for community led me to establish Under His Wings Collective—a non-profit initiative dedicated to expanding access to sliding-scale and free childbirth education, alongside trauma-informed virtual doula support (such as our Virtual Bloom Package) for Medicaid-eligible, low-income, and high-anxiety mothers who deserve dedicated care regardless of circumstance. When I’m not supporting families across the DFW Metroplex, leading virtual education cohorts, or advocating through the collective, you can usually find me baking something nourishing for loved ones or cherishing quiet moments with my daughter. You deserve to enter your birth room feeling strong, informed, and deeply supported. I would be honored to walk this sacred journey with you.

What made us choose Melanie as our birth doula for our first birth experience was the fact that she was Catholic and she offered a lot in her birth package. She was extremely helpful all throughout my pregnancy, especially on the day of my delivery. She helped us map out a birth plan and she did a great job educating us. During my labor, Melanie coached me through exercises she prepped us with to deal with the contractions. After I got my epidural, I was still experiencing pain on my right side. Melanie spent hours lightly shaking the area to get my daughter to move. It really helped me deal with the pain. She also helped the nurse with getting my daughter to turn face down to prepare for birth. Melanie offered me the comfort and support I needed in the last hours of my labor. Because of her support, my husband was able to get some extra sleep so he could be present with me and available post-birth. I would strongly recommend Melanie as a doula.

I've been married for more than 26 years, and my greatest joy in life is being a mom to my three wonderful children. When I'm not spending time with my family, you'll most likely find me cooking for the people I love, curled up with a good book, going for a run or walk (on a good day!), or finding ways to encourage and support young families. Home-cooked meals and great big hugs are definitely my love languages or at least the way I most naturally show people they're cared for. I've always been a "baby person." For more than 30 years, I've had the privilege of working with children and families in one way or another. But it wasn't until I became a mother myself that my heart truly opened to what new parents experience. I remember so clearly what those early days felt like, the questions, the exhaustion, the joy, and the tenderness of it all. That experience grew my love for babies into a deep compassion for moms and dads as they navigate the beautiful and often overwhelming transition into parenthood. For more than eight years, I've had the joy and honor of serving families as a birth doula, and for over seven years as a postpartum doula. I'm also a Hypnobabies Hypno-Doula and a pediatric sleep consultant, which allows me to support families not only through birth but throughout those precious early weeks and months when everything feels so new.

If you would have told me two weeks ago that my little boy would be sleeping independently tonight, I dont think I would have believed it. We were doing all the things that are antithetical to independent sleep - bedsharing, nursing to sleep, contact napping. Initially, sleep training sounded like this impossible hurdle. Around 5 months, it became clear that my son wasn't getting the sleep he needed. His naps were short and it was so hard to get him to sleep, even with all the aids we were giving him. My sweet, cuddly contact naps had quickly changed from relaxing to exhausting for both me and my baby. My mom recommended that I reach out to Tonya and thank goodness that I did!! She answered right away and put a plan and some tips together for us within just a couple of days. She gave us some strategies that we could try and helped us choose which one was right for us. When the day came to sleep train, she was so responsive and supportive. With her encouragement, we made it through the first (very difficult) night. After that first night, things completely changed for us. With Tonyas continued guidance, we were able to get my son not only night trained, but nap trained as well. All in less than two weeks! Sleep training has been so difficult but beyond rewarding. I also know without a doubt that it would have been so much harder without Tonyas wisdom and guidance. If you need assistance with your little ones sleep, I highly (HIGHLY) recommend reaching out! She is so attentive, so caring, and so supportive of whatever is right for your family.

Tenia was our doula during my first pregnancy. We couldn't have asked for a better person to have in our corner. She was very informative and was with us throughout the whole experience. Tenia did a great job with providing resources and Education as needed while allowing us to make our own decisions. She was not only there for me, but also my partner. She was there supporting and guiding both of us throughout the birthing and postpartum. Her approach was genuine and effective. Throughout my pregnancy she provided resources on how to manage morning sickness, provided pelvic floor workouts, and educated me in ways to get baby in the right position for birth. We were very lucky to have had her expertise as first time parents! Thank you Tenia for going above and beyond our expectations!

Hi, I'm Evelyn – a mama to two beautiful kids, a nature lover, and an advocate for women. While I didn’t plan to become a doula or childbirth educator, I now know that it’s my true calling. Growing up in a close-knit Mexican household, I was always drawn to community and mentorship, especially for girls. After earning my degrees in psychology and Spanish, I worked with survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual abuse. Becoming a mom ignited my deep curiosity about pregnancy and birth. I became fascinated by the process, eager to learn everything about labor and advocate for my own birth experience. After having profoundly empowering births, I realized that every woman deserves a birth that is powerful and free from trauma. This curiosity soon grew into a passion for supporting other women in my community. In my journey as a home visitor, working with Spanish-speaking moms, I saw firsthand the lack of resources and perinatal education available to them. It fueled my desire to help these women advocate for themselves, find their voice, and feel empowered in their birth experiences. After the birth of my daughter, I took a step back to reflect on my passions, and that’s when I discovered the amazing combination of doula and childbirth educator. And so, La Vid was born – a community for mothers to feel rooted and empowered, from pregnancy through motherhood. I believe in the strength and connection of women, and my mission is to empower you through your entire journey, so you never have to walk alone.

One of the things that I loved the most was that Evelyn offered online birthing classes on Saturdays. This was my 3rd pregnancy and I had never attended any birthing class. Knowing what to expect for birth, I was amazed at how much she goes over in her classes that the content is real and raw. Before my birth she set time to get to know my birth stories, know me, and discuss her role as my doula. I really appreciated that she listened without any judgement. Evelyn always listened to my concerns and actually validated them. In the last weeks of pregnancy, she would check on me and give me tips to be ready for when it was time to head to the hospital. Her words and knowledge would always calm my nerves and anxiety. During my birth, she was ready to help me voice out my needs and was not afraid to roll up her sleeves to help. She provides so many words of affirmation and was part of my successful birth. I would definitely recommend Evelyn to any mom looking for a doula. She is also so kind, humble, and really knows what it takes for a mama to birth.

Hi, I'm Paola, a certified pediatric sleep consultant (CPSM) and the founder of Rested Little. I work with exhausted families who have babies and toddlers between 4 and 24 months, helping them build healthy, sustainable sleep habits through personalized, gentle methods. I believe there's no one-size-fits-all approach to sleep. Every plan I create is tailored to your baby's unique temperament, your family's lifestyle, and your comfort level, whether that means a gradual, low-intervention approach or something more structured. My goal is always the same: to help your baby learn to sleep independently, so the whole family can finally rest. I work 100% virtually, which means I can support families anywhere in the world. I offer bilingual support in English and Spanish, and I'm available by text throughout the proces, including those hard nights when you need someone in your corner. Working with Paola completely changed our sleep situation. She listened to every detail, understood our challenges, and created a plan that actually felt doable. What I loved most is how supportive and patient she was, I never felt judged or overwhelmed. Within days, we saw improvements, and within a couple of weeks, our nights were finally peaceful again. I feel like I got my life back. I would recommend her to anyone who feels stuck or exhausted. She truly cares, and it shows.

JulieAnn worked with our family as a night nurse for our baby Cindy from birth to 10 weeks. She was reliable, gentle with our baby, and provided helpful support during the newborn stage. Having Rachel on my birth team was the best decision I could have made. She was a rock for me throughout, and was such a source of peace and calm for me. Rachel valued my preferences for my birth plan without judgment and held true to advocating for me at all times. My birth story had many unexpected turns, and Rachel stayed by my side, along with my husband, for the wild ride. I had Rachel with me in the birth center and at the hospital after a transfer was needed. She never missed a beat and took care of me so thoughtfully. From the first interview to prenatal appointments to the actual birth of my first baby, Rachel kept looking out for me and helped me feel empowered throughout my birth journey. She even took pictures and helped transport my placenta for encapsulation, which was so helpful because we remained at the hospital for longer than expected. I felt like Rachel was one of the best parts of my birth story, and I know she would be a wonderful addition to any birth team!

Marlene was such a blessing for our new family. She provided overnight support for our newborn from birth until ~6 weeks. Since this was our first baby, she immediately made us feel at ease and supported with her warmth and friendliness. Marlene is very professional: was always on time, followed our lead/routines, and offered a wealth of knowledge and advice when asked. She provided us tips for soothing, feeding, and sleep shaping to encourage longer stretches of overnight sleep (which was so valuable for us as new parents!) based on what she observed with our daughter. It is so clear that she is extremely experienced and absolutely adores what she does. We cannot thank her enough for supporting us in the early weeks - it made a world of difference in adjusting to our new lives as parents. I would recommend her to anybody who needs postpartum or family support, day or night!

Huddle has been an absolute Godsend for us. Our little one was discharged from the NICU, after a total of 17 hospital nights, and my husband and I were struggling with feeding him. We knew we needed support from licensed nurses rather than typical caretakers. Jessica and Huddle absolutely changed our post pardom lives. Huddle provided us with daytime, as well as overnight services. Knowing our baby was in the hands of experienced, licensed, nurses while I rested and recovered, was the biggest peace of mind. We were working on feeding goals in tandem with our pediatrician and Huddle. Together we nursed our baby from a tiny guy, to a little chunk! Without Huddle, I dont think my husband and I would have been able to get our guy as healthy as he is today. We are using the telehealth service as well. Jessica is so knowledgeable and has answers for all of our questions. Its so nice being able to connect with a consistent provider, and have quick, easy access when we have those first time parent questions! One thing Id wish we'd done differently is scheduled Huddle from when I was pregnant rather than after birth. Having services set up from right when we got home would have been the best. If youre considering Huddle and are currently pregnant, I would schedule in advance!

I am so relieved and happy that we chose Parul to be our doula. From our first contact, she was extremely responsive, clear, thorough, warm, and supportive in her communication with us. Her knowledge of the birthing process and preparation is unparalleled and i felt so much more confident going into my delivery with her by my side. At the hospital she was an amazing advocate who helped to ensure our birth plan was honored as closely as possible by our doctor. She was also a huge support during the birth when I needed some encouragement to keep pushing. She also spent a lot of time getting to know us personally which helped pass the time in the hospital. Overall I couldn’t recommend Parul more. When we prepare for our next baby I will definitely work with her again!
