I believe every birthing person should have the right to a trauma free birth experience, where their beliefs, values and goals are heard and respected. Birthing bodies are powerful. My goal as a doula is to remind you of the power you hold. I have worked in the medical field for 13 years as a Certified Medical Assistant, Lead Medical Assistant Instructor, recently completed my Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration and gained Certification as a Birth and Postpartum Doula. I am a very motivated and determined person. As a dedicated mother and proud African American woman, my heart is deeply rooted in the wellbeing of our community. The glaring disparities in maternal health that disproportionately affect women of color are not just statistics to me; they are urgent calls to action that resonate with my own experiences and those of my loved ones. I am committed to leveraging my knowledge, resources, and voice to initiate and support sustainable changes within the healthcare system. My goal is to ensure that equitable, high-quality maternal care is not a privilege, but a standard afforded to all mothers, regardless of their socioeconomic status. Through community outreach, advocacy, and education, I strive to contribute to a world where maternal mortality in underserved communities is not a grim expectation but a rare exception. My mission is to fight for a future where every mother’s life is given the value it unequivocally deserves.

Hello, I’m Anna, a San Francisco-based Birth and Postpartum Doula dedicated to "Mothering the Mother." I combine a grounded, calm presence with evidence-based information to help you transform uncertainty into trust. My mission is to ensure you feel seen, validated, and safe throughout your birth and postpartum journey, meeting you exactly where you are with intuitive care and unwavering support. When it comes to birth, I view my role as an anchor of calm support amidst the intensity of labor. My philosophy is rooted in the sacredness of choice. I also deeply value the partner's role, guiding them to feel confident and involved so that, together, you can welcome your baby with a sense of connection and empowerment. When it comes to the postpartum period, I view my role as a source of deep nourishment and restoration during a time of profound transformation. My philosophy is anchored in the mission to "Mother the Mother," believing that when you are deeply cared for, the whole family thrives. My support focuses on holistic healing, creating a sanctuary where you can rest and bond with your baby. I bring a unique element of nourishment to this work through my passion for cooking; I prepare healing, nutrient-rich meals to restore your energy and ground you in comfort. My husband and I will forever be grateful to Janay for helping us get through the first few months of a newborn! Janay brought expertise, warmth, and patience to her role as a nighttime doula. She answered our manyyy questions and helped us make decisions. It was such a blessing to get some more sleep while feeling confident that our little one was in good and loving hands with Janay. And outside the direct care she gave, she was a great communicator and always punctual. Thank you, Janay!

I am a birth and postpartum doula, prenatal and children’s yoga teacher, and mother of two. Originally from Venezuela, I lived in France before moving to San Francisco 10 years ago, where motherhood transformed the direction of my life and work. Before becoming a full-time mom, I worked in research and studied at university in France. My passion for science, well-being, and lifelong learning continues to guide the way I support families today. My journey into birth work was deeply inspired by my own experiences with doulas. During my pregnancies and births, I felt the power of being supported, heard, and reassured during such an important transition. That support stayed with me and eventually led me to pursue doula training through DONA International. I completed a 36-hour DONA Birth Doula workshop that included 14 hours of Childbirth Education, 17 hours of DONA training, and 5 hours of Breastfeeding Education. I also completed Natural Resources (In San Francisco) Postpartum Doula Core Training.

An amazing doula, always attentive, caring, and affectionate towards both mom and baby. Joselyn is incredibly professional, reliable, approachable, and down-to-earth. She was by my side throughout my pregnancy, guiding me through my choices, but above all, offering a calm and reassuring presence whenever I needed it. She also speaks Spanish and French, which makes such a difference during deeply personal and intimate experiences like pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, especially for those of us who are not native English speakers. I cannot recommend her enough!! ❤️

As a night postpartum doula, my approach centers on responsive care and fostering secure attachments. With over 8 years of professional childcare experience, I bring a unique blend of warmth, expertise, and a deep understanding of family dynamics to every home I support. My journey began in a bustling diverse household (Filipina immigrant mama & American dad with Chinese, European, and Spanish roots) as the third eldest of eight, where I naturally became my mother’s helper. This early immersion in childcare instilled in me a profound comfort around infants and children. Today, I draw on this foundation to provide families with compassionate, responsive care that prioritizes the emotional and physical well-being of both parents and babies. I believe that by responding promptly and sensitively to a baby's needs, we lay the groundwork for secure attachments, fostering a nurturing environment where both babies and parents can thrive.

You need her! We couldn’t have made it without Briana. Her level of broad expertise is unmatched. Any parents fortunate enough to access her knowledge and care are truly lucky. Parents book her months in advance because she’s so in demand, and we were honored to see her practice her craft. Briana was everything we needed as we stepped into parenthood. She has a wonderful and calming presence that fills the room. Our baby adored her and always felt warm and safe in her arms. She assisted my wife with bottle feeding, sleep habits, positive attachments, laundry, cleaning bottles and pumps, breastfeeding, and provided excellent lactation resources. She was there for both the rough and good nights, always maintaining a positive attitude and a “let’s do it” mindset, without a hint of judgment. As a dad, whenever I had questions on how to support my wife, Briana always answered and reassured me that I was doing everything right and more as a father. Parenthood is not easy, and Briana was our village to get through it. So no, I am not going to justify her rate. She is a Rolls Royce, and a Rolls Royce don’t explain themselves.
