My name is Laura, I’m a birth doula and prenatal/postnatal yoga teacher. I began my birth work journey after working in maternal mental health research at UNC for 4 years and hearing countless stories of birth trauma which only contributed to new mother's PPD, I decided it was time to be on the front lines and dove headfirst into birthwork. I believe that birth doesn't have to be traumatic, that it can be a sacred, transformative, and empowering journey unique to each individual.

Having grown up in Vermont, I was always around breastfeeding mothers, clean living, and being part of a village for new parents. Upon moving to North Carolina in 2015, I realized the silver lining that was missing in childcare- a cohesive option for care for the newest of babies to any age child, while providing a balance of education, nurturing, and love to the parents. I have a wide variety of experience and certifications in pregnancy, labor, birth, and early parenting. I bring passion and expertise to each and every family she serves. My interest in postpartum work was sparked when my little sister was born; I truly believed that this sweet angel was brought into this world as my baby.
