Searching for an experienced, honest and loving doula to help with my first baby due in September.
I’ll be giving birth at Lexington Medical Center. I’m not sure what to budget since ideally part of it should be covered with insurance but we are open to paying a little bit if necessary! My birth plan is to labor as long as possible then get an epidural and deliver vaginally. I also plan on laboring a little bit at home before heading to hospital. I want to do everything possible to naturally progress labor before the epidural and during the epidural (peanut ball, position changes). Then also want to wait until I get the urge to push rather than pushing immediately at 10cm and end up having to push for hours and hours. We just need a labor doula, and if they were able to provide lactation support in the hospital that’d be great but not required. Would love for them to have medical background and if they are Christian that is a plus! We have Tricare Select insurance.
