This is our first baby and we are wanting to do an unmedicated birth in a hospital. I am 26 weeks along now and looking for a possible doula to help educate me and husband and be there for birth. Really want an advocate for me and baby in the labor and delivery room! Budget is up for discussion.

Hey ladies. I am expecting my 2nd child approx January 5th. My first birth I did have to be induced but once things were right, it went well with epidural, just a couple pushes, no need for stitches, resulting in a healthy baby girl. This time with my son, I am wanting to try and hoping for an unmedicated birth to the best of my ability. I want to labor down as much as possible if time allows, learn all things that can help relax my mind, body, and pelvic floor as I’ve already been determined to have tight muscles after my 2nd child and currently. I do not know at this time if I will have any other support in the room, especially depending who has my toddler when I go to deliver. I am under the insurance of tricare. My OB & birth is with Lexington Medical in Lexington, SC. I am currently working on a birth plan. I also have interest in breastfeeding again and all the tools/information to help with that.

I plan on giving birth at my home. I don’t really have a budget, I just want someone that knows their stuff, is trustworthy, and will allow for me and my baby to have a safe and healthy delivery. Someone that is also able to give me the necessary knowledge to have a safe and healthy pregnancy. I’m 5 weeks pregnant.

First baby. I want to learn about hypnobirth and learning how to distinguish between phases/ when to change breathing patterns. I plan to deliver at Novant Health Ballantyne. I'd like to stay under $1,000 total. My birth plan is to utilize movement, water, and breathing techniques before the epidural.

I am almost 33 weeks and I found out I was pregnant at four and a half months after being told I couldn’t have kids in California. I was referred to abbey rewalt at cmc from the hospital er when I went in for bad cramping and let’s just say it’s been less than a nice experience. I have seen her twice for about 3 minutes. I’ve brought my sister husband and best friend with me to appointments and they have all said she is dismissive and her staff is very dismissive and they seem to not care about my well being at all and do not explain any test results just upload it into my portal etc. i went to er for swelling and none of the items ive been there have I seen a dr just a charge nurse. Dr abbey tried to say she saw me in the er no she didnt. My overall experience at cmc has been horrible. I would like a doula or a midwife and I also will be changing obgyn unless I can find a midwife where I can deliver somewhere that’s not cmc.

Needing a doula. Currently 26 weeks pregnant, due at the end of November. I plan to give birth at Prisma in Greenville, but I live in the Abbeville/Greenville area. I would like for the birth to be as natural as possible.

I want someone who has experience and can help guide me through my first pregnancy and help answer a lot of the questions and concerns I may have. Also want someone who is well educated in women's health pertaining to African American women.

Not sure on where I want to give birth need to learn more about being a mother and taking care of my baby before birth
