Christina Johnson BSPH, CBD, CPD, CCLS, CLC, IBCLC. I am a mother of two. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Wayne State University in 2018. I became a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2018, completed the Clinical and Communication Lactation Specialist training in 2021, and then passed the International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant exam in 2023. I'm certified as a birth and postpartum doula by Lifespan Doulas. Love for my own family and my community has led me to focus on health education, promoting awareness of human lactation, and assisting in extending breastfeeding duration and exclusivity for the families I serve. I am passionate about accessible lactation care and enthusiastic about health and wellness promotion and youth development. My goal is simply to aid others in being healthy and keeping their family healthy. My expertise is in maternal and child health, emphasizing a positive breastfeeding experience and an active family lifestyle. I love to support parents in reaching their breastfeeding goals and guiding them when life circumstances limit their breastfeeding goals. The combination of these values led me to launch Lactation Lighthouse.

Christina was amazing! I was feeling so discouraged with my breastfeeding journey after having mastitis a few times and she was able to help me pinpoint what the causes might be. After meeting with her and following her suggestions i have been mastitis free and truly enjoying my breastfeeding journey. Christina is so knowledgeable, personable, and caring. She took her time with me and baby and made sure all my questions/concerns were addressed. I immediately felt comfortable with her and would use her services again! I highly recommend her!!

I have more two decades of training and practice as a Maternal Child Health Specialist. For nearly a decade, I worked in a private practice in New York, where nearly a thousand families are served each year, before moving to the greater Detroit area. I sat boards and became certified as an IBCLC in 2010. My university education was uniquely focused on the history of women and infant health care and nutrition as well as practical assessment and support of new families. I have helped women conquer the often challenging stages of lactation. From issues with newborn latching to pain and increasing milk production, I have worked with women to help them have successful nursing experiences – whatever that means for them. As a guest lecturer at medical schools, I have been called upon to teach medical students, interns, and residents in pediatrics and obstetrics about lactation, and have been called in by obstetricians and pediatricians to consult on breastfeeding topics. I earned my Bachelors of Science in Maternal and Child Health and Lactation Consulting at the Union Institute and University of Cincinnati, OH. I am the mother of six and nursed them all for a combined total of over 14 years! Angel Wauthier

Angel Wauthier is a Pregnancy, Birth & Breastfeeding Specialist and founder of Fruit of the Womb Perinatal Services. After two births ended in C-sections at 31 weeks followed by two NICU stays, she entered her next pregnancy knowing she didn’t want to simply hope things would be different—she wanted to prepare differently. That search changed not only her own birth experiences, but the way she understood pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding. Angel went on to have four vaginal births after two C-sections and discovered what would become the foundation of her work: pregnancy affects birth, birth affects breastfeeding, and better preparation starts long before labor. Today, Angel helps women—especially those coming into pregnancy after a difficult, high-risk, intervention-heavy, or disappointing experience—prepare for the whole journey. Her natural-first, physiology-centered approach connects pregnancy wellness, nutrition, body preparation, childbirth education, advocacy, breastfeeding preparation, lactation care, and infant support. Rather than simply hoping this time will be different, Angel helps women understand what they can influence, know their options, and prepare their bodies and minds for a healthier pregnancy, a more natural birth, and a stronger start to breastfeeding.

Angel was great with my teenage daughter. With her being young and getting herself in this situation, I thought that a doula would help her greatly. She helped her learn about the pregnancy journey and prepared her for what was to come. And when delivery time came she helped her relax in different ways guiding her and helped her welcome her baby into the world. She even helped capture the moments. I highly recommend her.

Ciera Graham-Jackson

Hi Families! I’m a certified birth and postpartum doula serving families across the GTA, with a strong presence in the Peel Region. I specialize in lactation and breastfeeding support, offering compassionate, evidence-based care to help families feel confident and supported throughout their journey into parenthood. My approach is rooted in the belief that there is no “one-size-fits-all” when it comes to birth, feeding, or postpartum care. Every family is unique, and I take the time to understand your values, goals, and needs so I can provide personalized, respectful support that aligns with your vision. Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating early feeding, or adjusting to life with a newborn, I’m here to walk alongside you with patience, warmth, and encouragement. Beyond my work as a doula, I’m a proud mother to my 8-year-old daughter, who continues to inspire my passion for supporting other families. In my free time, I enjoy expressing creativity through art and spending time gardening—both of which ground me and bring a sense of balance to the nurturing work I do. I’m honored to be part of such an important chapter in your life and look forward to supporting you every step of the way.

Ciera supported our family with postpartum doula services 5 days a week for just over 4 months following the birth of our daughter, and what a difference she made. She is professional, dependable and quickly became well integrated within the household (our older children were always excited to see her!). She has such a way with babies, our daughter very quickly developed into a sound overnight sleeper. We were also grateful that she worked with us to ensure we could be reimbursed through Carrot insurance. I would recommend Ciera to any expecting parent who is looking for calm guidance, professional support and loving care for their newborns.

I cannot recommend Michelle highly enough! She was an absolute rock star during the birth of my baby, who arrived 6 weeks early. Through all the uncertainty and stress, Michelle was there every step of the way to keep the calm and peace, offering unwavering support and reassurance. She was a true rock for my family, ensuring I was taken care of and advocating for me throughout the process—especially during the scarier moments when doctors weren’t explaining things clearly. Michelle stepped in to make sure we understood everything. Her compassionate presence made a world of difference. On top of that, she captured beautiful, meaningful pictures when we first brought our baby home from the NICU. I HIGHLY recommend Michelle for anyone looking for a dedicated, kind, and supportive doula.

I don’t even know where to begin in describing how grateful I am for Petra and the incredible support she gave me, my husband, and our son born in April 2024. She was, in every sense of the word, the doula of our dreams. We call her our 'fairy godmother.' We were first-time parents who truly didn’t know what we were doing. Petra walked into our home with a calm, reassuring presence that immediately made us feel safe and supported. Petra never made us feel judged or inadequate — instead, she showed us step by step how to care for our newborn, starting with the first step into our house from the hospital, and my question of, "umm, so where do I put him?". From there, she patiently taught us all the practical skills (feeding, burping, bathing, diapering, soothing, etc.), as we had no idea what we were doing. All the books I read while pregnant did not prepare me for the real thing. Petra prepared us for the real thing. More than the “how-to,” Petra gave us peace of mind. She answered every question with kindness and expertise. She normalized our fears, reassured us when we second-guessed ourselves, and reminded us that we were doing a good job. She also cared for us as parents. She encouraged us to rest, to eat, and to breathe. Her presence lifted so much of the anxiety from those early days and gave us space to bond with our baby rather than drown in uncertainty. Petra was everything we hoped for in a doula: knowledgeable, nurturing, reliable, compassionate, and endlessly patient. She went above and beyond. I can say without exaggeration that she helped us survive and truly enjoy those first weeks as a new family. Suyin also contributed to the post-partum support of our family as my lactation consultant. You really just don't know how difficult breast feeding is until you try it! Suyin helped me with latch, positioning, and confidence. Her visits at our home were comfortable and stress-free, and she helped turned breast-feeding into something I could actually enjoy. I can’t recommend her enough!
