The cost of a night nanny in Swedesboro, NJ can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Swedesboro, NJ, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. Recent review

I have witnessed firsthand the extraordinary compassion, dedication, and warmth she brings to every aspect of her life. I wholeheartedly believe she will be exceptional in this role. Makeda’s work ethic is something I have always deeply admired. When she commits to something, she gives it her entire heart. She approaches this work not as a casual interest but as a true calling. She studies diligently and constantly seeks to deepen her understanding of maternal and newborn health. Her professionalism is evident in how seriously she takes her preparation and how she holds herself accountable to the highest standards in everything she does. One of Makeda’s greatest gifts is her ability to communicate with both warmth and clarity. She has a natural way of making people feel heard and understood. Whether she is offering guidance to a new parent, sharing information, or simply listening, she creates a space of trust and safety. I have watched her interact with expectant and new mothers, and her presence is immediately calming. She has an intuitive ability to read a room, to know when someone needs encouragement and when they simply need a steady, reassuring hand. This is a rare and invaluable quality for someone entrusted with the care of newborns and their families. At her core, Makeda is one of the most compassionate and caring people I have ever known. Originally from Trinidad, she carries with her a deep cultural appreciation for community, family, and the sacred experience of welcoming new life into the world. Her background working with children has given her a profound understanding of families' needs and the importance of nurturing support during life’s most tender moments. She has a remarkable gift for connecting with little ones, offering patience, gentleness, and a love that is felt deeply by every child she cares for. Watching her with the children in our family has only strengthened my confidence that she is meant for this work. Makeda’s passion has also inspired me to advocate. She is deeply committed to ensuring that every mother and newborn receives informed, compassionate, and empowering care. She understands the disparities in maternal and infant healthcare and is driven by a genuine desire to make a difference - one family at a time. She is the kind of person who will stand beside a family not only during those precious early days but throughout the entire journey, with grace, knowledge, and an unshakable calm. She has the heart, the mind, and the spirit to be a truly outstanding Postpartum doula and Newborn Care Specialist. Any family that has her by their side will be profoundly fortunate.

Hello, and welcome! My name is Shaniqua, and I am a birth doula and birthing assistant currently completing my professional training. I am passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based support to growing families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. My journey into birth work is deeply personal. While I have a special passion for supporting families preparing for or recovering from Cesarean births, I am honored to support mothers and families through all types of birth experiences. My goal is to help you feel empowered to make informed decisions, advocate for your needs, and approach your birth with confidence and peace of mind. I have been so lucky to hire Melissa twice as a doula now and I could not recommend her services enough. She is a wonderful advocate for mothers and truly listened to what I needed. She gave me the space to think about what my needs might be and I don’t think I would have known without her there to ask those questions. She helped prep our whole family in a way where I felt so well cared for. For both of the births Melissa was there for, as soon as she walked in I felt a huge sigh of relief. She was there and she had me and my back and I fully trusted her to guide me. We were also fortunate enough to hire her postpartum doulas! We had the pleasure of working with Veronica, Danielle and Bernadette. Everyone brought different outstanding qualities that were a total joy to experience. They went above and beyond to learn about our families needs and fit right in. I trusted all of them with my postpartum care, cooking meals, giving my husband a break and endless sibling entertainment for my bigger kids so I could snuggle in bed with our new baby. I felt so well supported my body was able to heal physically and I could emotionally take space when needed. There was always round the clock care and they were quick to fill our schedule when I quickly realized I needed more support than I had initially intended. I wish all mothers could experience this kind of care.

Kellie Lynch

Kellie Lynch

2 years of experience

Hi, I’m Kellie, a birth doula, pediatric nurse, women’s health herbalist, and the heart behind The Nourished Mother. I bring over a decade of nursing experience into the birth space, along with a deep reverence for the physiology of a woman’s body. My approach blends evidence-based care with herbal wisdom, breathwork, and somatic practices that help women soften, trust, and embody their power during pregnancy and birth. I believe birth preparation is not just about learning positions or writing a birth plan. It is about reconnecting to your body. It is about learning how your breath can soften your pelvic floor. It is about helping your partner feel confident holding you through intensity. It is about cultivating safety in your nervous system so your body can open. During our time together, we will prepare not only for labor, but for postpartum. We will discuss hormonal shifts, recovery, nourishment, support systems, and the emotional transformation into motherhood. I often incorporate herbal teas, grounding rituals, breathwork, and practical postpartum planning into our prenatal sessions. As both a nurse and a doula, I am comfortable navigating conversations with medical providers while also protecting the sacredness of your experience. I am a calm, steady presence who listens deeply and advocates clearly. My hope is that you feel informed, supported, and deeply connected to your body as you step into birth and motherhood. You deserve to feel nourished in every phase ❤️

Kamilla Matos

East Norriton Township, Pennsylvania

Kamilla Matos

6 years of experience

Hi, I’m Kamilla! I was born and raised in Brazil in a large, loving family where caring for others was part of everyday life. Inspired by my grandmother, a traditional midwife, I grew up learning newborn care and nurturing practices that shaped my passion for postpartum support. My journey became even more personal when I supported my own mother through postpartum depression, which opened my eyes to how deeply families need care during this vulnerable transition. That experience led me to dedicate my career to postpartum and newborn care, with the belief that when we care for the mother, we care for the entire family. With over 6 years of international experience, I support families from diverse backgrounds with compassionate, practical, and evidence-based care. I am a Certified Postpartum Birthworker through Cornerstone Birthwork Training, and I also hold certifications in Montessori education, Sleep Training, and Early Childhood Development. In addition, I have a degree in Law and am currently pursuing my nursing education to continue expanding my knowledge in maternal and newborn care. I do not romanticize postpartum recovery — I understand it can be overwhelming, exhausting, and emotional. My goal is to provide steady, individualized support so parents can rest, recover, and feel confident in their journey.

Kamilla was an incredible postpartum doula for our family. Her calm, compassionate support gave us the confidence to navigate those first few weeks with our newborn while also allowing us to get much-needed rest. She cared for our son Dylan with so much love and attention. We are so grateful for everything she did, and we can't recommend her highly enough.
