Being a doula isn’t a job, it’s a privilege! I am honored to be able to assist families in some of the most transformative times in their lives. My approach when working with women and their families is to offer education and encouragement, which in turn helps them to feel confident as they approach and experience their baby’s birth. I provide evidence-based information and listen to what matters to my clients, and then we work together toward achieving their goals. Throughout pregnancy and especially during labor, I provide consistent, calm reassurance and guidance. I began my doula career in 2012 through DONA International and I am a Birth Beautifully Certified Birth Doula, Birth Beautifully Certified Childbirth Educator, and Birth Beautifully Birth Doula Trainer. I am also a Certified VBAC Doula through the VBAC Link, and I am a Certified Postpartum Doula through the Midwifery Institute. With a wide variety of doula experience — including medicated and unmedicated labors, spontaneous and induced labors, hospital birth and homebirth — my knowledge and understanding is put to use to help reduce my clients’ anxiety and increase their confidence. I have a special place in my heart for women suffering with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) during their pregnancies, as I myself have dealt with it five times. I believe the best pregnancies, births, and postpartum experiences happen when women and their families feel supported, and I would be honored to do that for your family.

I wish all pregnant people could experience working with Chrissy. Chrissy took the time to get to know my husband and me, understand what we were about, and provide guidance throughout pregnancy, labor, and delivery that suited our unique needs and priorities. Meeting with Chrissy during pregnancy helped restore my confidence in my body after a difficult journey to conception. As my husband and I made choices concerning our birth plan, Chrissy was always willing to provide and discuss multiple perspectives so that our decisions were informed and intentional. When I was in labor, Chrissy ensured that the fundamental aspects of our vision came true—she made it possible for my husband and I to enjoy our experience and not to feel pressured to operate on anyone’s time but our own. She remembered everything that was important to us! And, the photos! The images Chrissy took have allowed us to relive our birth story and the moment when we first met our baby! Needless to say, we look forward to continued care from Chrissy during the postpartum period. Chrissy. Is. The. Best.

We used Chrissy as Doula for the birth of our first baby, and we would definitely hire her again in the future! During our prenatal visits, she helped us navigate all of the decisions regarding our birth plan and took the time to really learn our preferences. Going into the day of I truly felt that she was on our team, and that feeling made the whole process feel less overwhelming. Chrissy was just the right amount of involved during labor and delivery, offering suggestions and positions and continuing to support our goals throughout the process, but was never an overwhelming presence by any means. Not to mention, she took some beautiful photos If you are interested! Throughout the whole process, Chrissy provided us with many resources and is very knowledgeable in her field. As first time parents having her there was one of our best decisions and we would happily use her again!

Chrissy provided invaluable support throughout my pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum. Together we talked through what to expect at the hospital, what I wanted my labor and delivery to look like, and my fears surrounding pregnancy and labor. During my labor, she was able to guide my partner in the best ways to support me. When things didn’t go quite as planned, she was there to talk through my options and validate my feelings. I really cherish the photos that Chrissy took during labor and delivery—especially of us meeting our son for the first time! Chrissy has remained an important part of our lives during postpartum. I really don’t know what we would’ve done without her!
