Kimberly, Idaho
I have been part of the birth world for over 30 years. I have assisted birth since I was 20 years old. I have been a certified DONA doula for over 20 years and have loved every birth. I delivered all 9 of my children at home and respect the mother in her birth space. I believe that pregnancy is not an illness and childbirth is natural. I support and encourage women and families to be the ones making the decisions regarding their health and well-being. I feel women need to be involved in the decision-making process about the birth of their baby and what best meets their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. I started my formal midwifery journey in 2013 using Mercy In Action as my academic College, Better Birth as my skills institution and local Midwifes here in Idaho to be my mentors. I have attended more than 300 births in my training and am excited to be part of your birth experience.

I am speaking up and bringing light to postpartum issues, mood disorders and struggles. We need to normalize asking for help, we need to normalize support and we need to normalize healing our mothers because maternal mental health matters! As a Maternal Support Practitioner, I am privileged to help women and their partners make these experiences as positive and healthy as possible.
Pocatello, Idaho
Congratulations on this exciting new journey! I am a birth and postpartum doula in Pocatello, and serve the surrounding areas. My goal is to make you feel empowered in this time of your life. I want you to feel confident in your abilities and whatever choices you make surrounding birth. I believe that birth is a normal physiological process. It does not need to be a medical event, and is rarely an emergency. Our society has forgotten how to best educate and support families in this exciting time. Birth is meant to be intimate, but our current care system doesn’t treat it that way. I’ve felt a calling to be a birth and postpartum doula as a way to connect with generations of women before me. Birth is one of the most vulnerable experiences a woman will ever have. I am honored to be allowed into the inner circle while holding each mother as she is born and gives birth to new life. Becoming a mother is the single best thing that has ever happened to me. I also think it is the hardest thing I will ever do. I’ve been passionate about serving women in pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period since my first pregnancy. My husband and I have five children—four girls and one boy. We spent eight years in Utah raising our family before relocating to Pocatello in 2020. I grew up in Utah in the Salt Lake Valley where I received my Bachelors degree in English from the University of Utah. I am happy to schedule a consult with you to discuss your desires and how I may be able to serve you during this time.

Hi, everyone! My name is Heidi, and I am so excited to be the Agency Director/Owner of Let Mommy Sleep of Idaho! I completed my schooling in Gresham, OR, and medical training in Portland at OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital. My father was an OB-GYN, and many of my extended family are also in medicine, so becoming a respiratory therapist just felt right on so many different levels. My love for children and their families grew, and I began to lean more toward advocacy, education, and preventive health. It is a passion that lights me up and bringing Let Mommy Sleep to Idaho is a true gift! I've spent time in many different areas of respiratory care here in Boise, but my favorite has been caring for children and their families. (I even spent some time in sleep medicine!) My family and I are active in our community and are part of a large fun, supportive, and engaging group of people. Let Mommy Sleep has been welcomed here with open arms because we offer something so special and unique for the growing families that need that extra support. Thank you for the opportunity to care for your family!

I currently own a thriving Lactation clinic in Eagle, Idaho and see patients both in-office and over telehealth. As a doula and a mother of three precious girls, my journey into the world of birth support began with a deeply personal experience—the delivery of my first child. In that transformative moment, I discovered a profound passion for birth and a calling to empower mothers as they navigate the miraculous journey of bringing new life into the world. My mission is rooted in fostering connection and understanding during the birthing process, not only with the birthing mother but also with their partners. I believe in the power of compassionate support, education, and advocacy to ensure that every birthing experience is as empowering and fulfilling as possible. With each family I work with, my goal is clear: to provide unwavering support, guidance, and encouragement, helping couples to embrace this incredible journey with confidence and joy. Together, let's create a birthing experience that honors your choices, celebrates your strength, and welcomes your new little one into the world with love.

For all of history, up until the last century or two, birth was a uniquely feminine and sacred event supported by midwives, mothers, sisters, friends, and neighbors. Mothers were given the space, trust, and respect to intuitively birth their children, just as their bodies were designed to. In the 20th century, the modernization of birth care, intended to increase safety, unfortunately pushed labor support out the picture. Doctors became more concerned with outcomes alone than with the transformative experience of birth, itself. The emergence of doulas in the developed world was a desperate and necessary response to the all-too-common technocratic birthing model that has changed society’s entire view and practice of giving birth. The culture of non-medical labor support is thankfully not lost. Women deserve the same sanctity, respect, and space to do what their bodies know best now, as they did for all those centuries. I believe supporting the birth experience in its traditional light is my calling.
