The cost of a midwife in White Plains, NY can be influenced by several factors:

  • Type of Midwife

Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs) who work in hospital settings may have different pricing than Certified Professional Midwives (CPMs) who attend home births or birth center deliveries.

  • Birth Setting

Hospital births with a midwife typically cost less out-of-pocket when covered by insurance, while home births and birth center deliveries may have different fee structures.

  • Scope of Services

Many midwives offer comprehensive packages that include prenatal visits, labor and delivery support, and postpartum care, which can affect the overall cost.

  • Insurance Coverage

Whether insurance covers the cost of a midwife in White Plains, NY, depends on your specific insurance plan and the midwife's qualifications. Many insurance plans, including Medicaid and private insurers, often cover midwifery services if the midwife is licensed and practicing within a hospital, birthing center, or even at home, depending on state laws and policies. It’s important to verify if the midwife is in-network and whether your plan includes maternity or out-of-hospital care. Contact your insurance provider and the midwife directly to confirm coverage, costs, and any out-of-pocket expenses.

  • Experience and Specialization

Midwives with extensive experience, additional certifications, or specializations such as VBAC support or water birth may charge higher rates.

  • Geographic Location

Midwifery costs can vary based on the cost of living and demand for midwifery services in your specific area.

When considering hiring a midwife in White Plains, NY, it's advisable to research and interview several midwives to find one who aligns with your birth plan, preferences, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services, insurance acceptance, and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs.

Greetings, my name is Aisolen Marcial and I am a certified Full Spectrum Holistic Doula located in New York City area. I have minimal limits in supporting folks and their families, having done this work already for over 10 years. Birth & postpartum support is not a cookie-cutter stencil and should not be treated as such. I am a mom of 2 beautiful girls and enjoy traveling, plants and self-care.

Recent review

A Truly Exceptional Doula Experience Hiring Aisolen Marcial was hands down one of the best decisions we made during our pregnancy journey. From the moment we met her, we felt instantly at ease. Her calm presence, deep knowledge, and genuine care created a sense of trust and safety that carried us through every step of labor and delivery. Throughout our prenatal visits, Aisolen took the time to really understand our hopes, fears, and birth preferences. She offered evidence-based information without pressure and helped us feel empowered to make informed decisions. She was always just a text away when we had questions or needed support. During labor, Aisolen was our anchor. She brought such a peaceful energy into the room, offering physical comfort, emotional reassurance, and quiet encouragement exactly when we needed it. Whether it was helping with breathing techniques, massage, or just being a supportive presence, she anticipated our needs before we even voiced them. Even after the birth, she continued to check in with us and made sure we were adjusting well. Her postpartum support was incredibly helpful, and we felt like she truly cared about our wellbeing as a family. We can’t imagine going through this experience without her. If you're looking for a doula who is compassionate, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to supporting families, we wholeheartedly recommend Aisolen Marcial.

I'm passionate, patient and dedicated to assisting your family in the best way possible. I support your parenting philosophy and your home to the fullest. I also provide help around the home whether that be cooking, cleaning or any light household chores. In terms of my achievements, I have had the privilege of helping numerous families navigate the wonderful yet challenging journey of welcoming a new baby into their lives. Through my work as a Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist. I have been able to support new mothers in their physical and emotional recovery while providing essential care for their newborns. By implementing effective sleep and feeding routines, I have helped establish a sense of calm and stability during the critical postpartum period.

Recent review

Breanna Gay was an amazing postpartum doula for our newborn baby boy Dekari from June 2023 to August 2023. She was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us through our first couple of months at home. Any questions we had, she was able to answer. As nervous first-time parents, we had so many questions, but she made us feel much more comfortable knowing that she was super experienced, and it showed! From the beginning, she was there to support us, even before our baby was born. We were able to text her all of our questions, and she replied quickly. She came in and helped us organize our nursery and set up all our gadgets. When our baby came home, she was there the first night, supporting us through breastfeeding and our long nights. She even helped tidy up the house and made me a little midnight snack because Iwas up all night. Breanna is such a joy to have, and I would recommend her to any family looking for support.

Working with Olga Zinner and her team at YourCherish was one of the most meaningful and supportive choices we made during our pregnancy. Chandel is a gem! She was communicative from the start, and went the extra mile when it came to insurance verification, which is usually an annoying process. She was such a calming and supportive presence during those overwhelming first few weeks with our newborn. Her steady reassurance, patience, and kindness made a huge difference for our family during a challenging transition. We felt genuinely cared for and supported every step of the way.

Hi, I’m Jacqueline, but you can call me Jacqui. I’m a full-spectrum doula who believes birth is both sacred and deeply human — not something to “manage,” but something to be supported with care, humor, and grounding energy. My background as an esthetician, medical assistant, and ordained minister means I show up with a calming presence, steady hands, and the ability to connect with just about anyone. I see each family as unique, and I honor every birth plan, every emotion, and every cultural layer that shapes the journey into parenthood. My goal is to help you feel prepared, empowered, and never alone during one of the most transformative moments of your life. My hobbies are reading, crafting, hosting karaoke nights at local bars, helping my partner run a part-time catering business and cuddling with our Beagle-mix Emo. I look forward to meeting you!!

Simone has been holding space for expecting and postpartum families for over 10 years. Birth has a powerful way of healing and transforming you, and her first birth did just that. The ability to have 2 empowered births the way she wanted, gave light to the need for advocacy, education and doula support amongst the birthing community, especially black families. Simone is a mother, doula, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, childbirth educator and infant sleep educator. She has been teaching and mentoring doulas along the way and excited to dive deeper into holding the hands of the next generation of birth workers.

Recent review

I cannot say enough good things about Simone as our night doula and lactation consultant. From the moment she entered our home, she brought a sense of calm, compassion, and expertise that made an immediate difference in our postpartum experience. As a second-time mom navigating recovery, sleep deprivation, and feeding challenges, her presence was nothing short of a gift. She supported our entire family with such gentleness and professionalism. Her overnight care allowed us to get desperately needed rest, knowing our baby was in kind, capable hands. Her lactation guidance was equally invaluable. She offered evidence-based support with zero judgment—troubleshooting tummy issues, providing reassurance, and giving practical tools that worked. Thanks to her help, I went from overwhelmed and in pain to confident and empowered. I did not feel a bit of judgment when I chose to go from breastfeeding to formula due to my baby's tummy issues. She listened deeply, responded thoughtfully, and truly respected our parenting values. She didn’t just care for our baby—she cared for us. If you're looking for someone who is not only highly skilled but also emotionally attuned and reliable, I wholeheartedly recommend Simone. She’s an absolute gem and a vital part of our early parenting story.

Jen Ballew

11 years of experience
Packages from $697

I'm Jen Ballew, a birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator and pediatric sleep coach and the founder of The Parenthood Project USA. For over a decade I've helped exhausted families find real, sustainable rest, supporting more than 250 families along the way. My approach to sleep is warm, biology-first, and led by your child's nervous system, never cry-it-out or leaving a baby to cry alone. I work with everything from newborn sleep shaping in the early weeks to responsive coaching for older babies and toddlers, always building rhythms that fit your family rather than forcing a rigid method or anything not developmentally appropriate. My practice began in Southern California, where I spent ten years supporting local families through birth, postpartum, and sleep. Today the work is nationwide and fully virtual, and I'm expanding in person into New York City as I put down roots in Brooklyn. Wherever you are, my care can meet you there. My offerings reach across the whole journey into parenthood. Alongside sleep, I offer birth preparation through my program The Threshold, blending somatic practice, evidence-based education, and nervous system support, with a specialty in VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). My postpartum care supports recovery and the tender early weeks, including nourishing meal prep with healing foods rooted in traditional care, placenta encapsulation, and gentle postnatal bodywork. At the heart of it all, I believe bringing new life into the world is a profound rite of passage that deserves reverence, preparation, and care. I hold each family's path with deep respect, and I would be honored to walk alongside yours.

Jen was the most incredible experience of my birth, no exaggeration. Her guidance, support, understanding and kindness rooted the foundation of my birth experience in love. Despite my birth not going the way I envisioned, Jen stood by me as my advocate and partner. I'm so grateful for her and I can't speak highly enough about her professionalism and dedication to birth and motherhood.

Taylor Clarke-Cameron

Packages from $1,750 · $40/hr

Hi, I'm Taylor Clarke-Cameron, a birth and postpartum doula and childbirth educator based in New Jersey. Since launching my doula practice in December 2024, I've had the privilege of supporting 15 families and attending 13 births, and every single one has deepened my commitment to this work. Before stepping into birth work, I spent over a decade as a school administrator — advocating for individuals, navigating complex systems, and building trust with families during some of the most pivotal moments of their lives. That foundation shapes everything I do as a doula: I show up informed, steady, and fully in your corner. My mission is simple: every birthing person deserves to feel informed, empowered, and supported — no exceptions. I am proudly affirming of all families, including single parents, multicultural and multi-religious families, LGBTQIA+ families, parents with disabilities, parents who are neurodivergent, and those growing their families through adoption. My Approach Universal Support, Personal Touch Birth is universal—it's happened across cultures, centuries, and countless galaxies of human experience. Yet YOUR birth is uniquely yours, a wonder that deserves celebration and support tailored specifically to your needs. Whether you're a single parent writing your own heroic story, part of a multicultural or multi-religious family blending beautiful traditions, navigating parenthood in the LGBTQIA+ community, a differently-abled parent, a neurodivergent parent, or creating your family through adoption—I am here for YOU. Your journey matters, your choices are valid, and your experience deserves nothing less than stellar support.

Taylor was my birth doula, and I truly feel it was divine intervention that she came into my life—especially since my son was born on her birthday. From the very beginning, she was incredibly attentive, informative, and intentional in supporting both me and my husband. She created a detailed binder for us with guides on what to expect, postpartum care, exercises, and nutritious foods that were safe for both me and my baby. The information was so thorough that I never felt the need to search elsewhere. One moment that deeply stood out to me was when I shared that I wanted to play Surahs during my labor and delivery. At our next visit, Taylor had printed out different Surahs along with explanations of their purposes, making it easier for me to choose what I wanted to hear. That level of thoughtfulness meant so much to me. I also appreciated her honesty and professionalism. If she didn’t know something, she would say so—then either refer me to my midwives or research and follow up with me. During labor and delivery, she was calm, knowledgeable, and attentive. She impressed the medical staff, made me feel safe and advocated for, and ensured my husband felt supported and confident asking questions. Taylor made a huge impact on my first delivery, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better doula. Even now, she continues to send monthly emails with updates on my son’s development and what to expect as I heal. Taylor is amazing, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about what she does.

Elizabeth Cano

6 years of experience

Her passion for childbirth began in her birthing her four children within five years and learning the amazing power of the mind, soul, and body in physiologic birth and thereafter. Becoming a DONA trained Doula has given her the professional skills and resources to help other birthing people and their partner(s) awaken and tune into this power. As your Doula, she is honored to hold space for you and meet you where you are along your reproductive journey. She will provide emotional, informational, and physical support and hold your hand as you learn to advocate for your preferences in what is the most personal and sacred time in your life. By encouraging you to feel confident, fully supported, in control of your choices, and well equipped with the tools and comfort measures, her goal is to help you optimize any path your birth takes. She especially wants to do all she can to educate the community about the power of birth support, increase access to these evidence based services, and work with BBIPOC and trans and queer birthing people who often experience trauma and inequitable care along their gestational journey. As a Latinx Doula, she is a strong proponent of reclaiming and honoring the cultural roots of birthing communities and their traditional practices. Elizabeth is bilingual in Spanish.

Recent review

I would recommend Elizabeth to anyone looking for a doula. She is compassionate, kind, knowledgeable and provides a much needed feeling of calm and stability to the delivery room. I believe she is the main reason I was able to have a successful VBAC and remain confident and strong throughout. Elizabeth was extremely responsive via text/phone and arrived at the hospital super quickly in the middle of the night when my water broke. When she arrived I was in so much pain from contractions and she jumped right in to help me, introducing easing movements, rubbing my back, and getting me a heating pad. She was an incredible support during the 12 hours of labor— she didn’t leave my side. Having her there to answer questions, provide reassurance, help with birthing positions, and advocate for me with hospital staff was a game changer. Thanks, Elizabeth, you are amazing!
