I’m so grateful to Thandia for helping us with our baby’s sleep. Before working with her, getting my baby to sleep and keeping a consistent sleep routine was a real challenge. Thandia was patient, knowledgeable, and so supportive throughout the process. She took the time to understand my baby’s needs and guided us with practical strategies that actually worked for our family. The difference in my baby’s sleep has been amazing. My baby is now sleeping much better, and we have a routine that feels manageable and sustainable. I truly appreciate the care, professionalism, and reassurance Thandia provided along the way. If you’re struggling with your baby’s sleep, I would definitely recommend Thandia as a Baby Sleep Consultant. She made such a positive difference for us! ❤️

My name is Grace Kovitch and I am a certified birth and postpartum doula, as well as craniosacral therapy practitioner located in Emmaus, Pennsylvania. When I started off as a birth doula, I quickly saw the drop off in care that happened with postpartum mothers, and have dedicated my career to making sure every new mom is educated, supported, and cared for. Postpartum support is truly where my heart is, and I love seeing the moment where a new mom starts to feel confident in her new role. When I'm not supporting families, you can find me hiking, backpacking, or spending time with my loved ones.

I am delighted to recommend Grace Kovitch as a postpartum doula. Her sweet nature, care and compassion, and knowledge of newborns made her truly invaluable to our family throughout our daughter’s first four months. Her presence allowed our family to rest, recover, and truly enjoy the precious moments with our newborn. From the moment she stepped into our home, Grace provided a calming presence and a great knowledge about newborn care. She not only assisted with practical needs—such as soothing techniques, infant care, and light household tasks—but also provided the emotional support and reassurance that every new parent needs. Her warm and nurturing nature made all the difference during such a transformative time. (We knew she was the perfect fit for our family when our doberman wouldn’t leave her side! He now waits for her every night!) Additionally, her punctuality and reliability show the level of care she possesses for her clients. I wholeheartedly recommend Grace to any family in need of postpartum support. She is an incredible resource, and any family would be beyond lucky to have her by their side during the postpartum journey.

Hi, my name is Amanda Sands. I’m a mom of three, certified postpartum doula, and the owner of Mama Love Doula, LLC, based in Pennsburg, PA. My doula team and I provide daytime and overnight postpartum support to families throughout Montgomery, Bucks, Lehigh, and Berks Counties, as well as the Main Line. To me, mothers are the heart of the home. When moms are supported, everything else flows. With the help of a postpartum doula, mothers can rest and heal from childbirth, enjoy nourishing meals without the stress of preparing them, and focus on bonding with their baby—without worrying about cleaning, laundry, or everything else that comes with caring for a newborn. I believe that when mothers receive this kind of care and support, they don’t just get through postpartum—they truly thrive. When I’m not supporting families, you can find me spending time with my kids, snuggling with one of my three cats, listening to music, or getting lost in a good book. I genuinely love to clean (yes, really!), enjoy getting outside for walks and practicing yoga, and I’m always on the go running my kids to their many activities—especially during baseball season! It would truly be an honor to support you and your family during your postpartum journey. Learn more: www.mamalovedoula.com www.instagram.com/mamalovedoula

Amanda was our "fairy god-doula!". She was incredibly kind, patient, calm, and was vital to our transition as new parents. Not only did she care for our newborn, but she also made sure we were cared for as well - with nourishing meals, clean laundry, making sure the house was tidy, and giving us time to rest and reset. Her presence made the "newborn trenches", which can be overwhelming to most, a period of comfort and calm in our home. It allowed me to focus on my own recovery and spend quality time with my baby, which I will always cherish. I am so grateful for her services and could not imagine how I would have gotten through that time without her.

Clarissa Alves

Bangor, Pennsylvania 3 years of experience

Clarissa Alves

I’m Clarissa Alves, a certified doula and the person behind Mooncradle Matrescence. My work is rooted in bodily autonomy, informed consent, reproductive justice, and the belief that every family deserves to be heard, respected, and supported without judgment. As an Afro-Indigenous mother born and raised in the Bronx, I know that navigating maternal healthcare as a person of color can come with its own challenges. Too often, people are dismissed, their instincts are questioned, and normal experiences are treated like problems that need to be fixed. That’s a big part of why I do this work. I want families to know their rights, understand their options, and feel empowered to make decisions about their own bodies and their own births. For me, birth work also means challenging the systems and beliefs that have shaped the way we approach pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. I believe in decolonizing birth, honoring ancestral wisdom, and making room for evidence based care without losing sight of the person at the center of it all. Our ancestors have always had knowledge worth honoring, and families deserve care that respects both that wisdom and their individual needs. I don’t believe there is one right way to give birth. An unmedicated birth, a cesarean, a VBAC, or a birth that looks nothing like someone planned all deserve the same respect. My job isn’t to push my beliefs onto anyone or decide what their birth should look like. It’s to provide honest education, help families understand their choices, advocate for their autonomy, and stand beside them through whatever their journey looks like, including the parts that come after birth. At Mooncradle Matrescence, I want families to feel safe enough to ask questions, speak up, change their minds, and trust themselves. You deserve to be treated like a person, not a problem to manage. You deserve to have your voice heard, your boundaries respected, and your choices honored. That’s the kind of care I believe in, and that’s the kind of care I’m here to provide.

Having Clarissa as my doula was truly a once in a lifetime experience! Straight from the beginning, she was there for me throughout my entire pregnancy. Whatever questions I had, she helped me answer. She also helped me create a personalized birth plan step by step. When my water broke, I called her immediately and she was on her way. She showed up with things to decorate my hospital room, as well as pain management items, and a peanut & labor ball. Ambient lighting, oil diffuser, and words of affirmation on cards. These things really helped set the tone for my whole labor. As I progressed, I got good use out of all the pain relief items Clarissa brought. My personal favorite was the TENS machine and comb. Clarissa also made sure to advocate for my wants, needs, and rights as a patient. This truly meant a lot to me, as I feared a hospital birth due to hearing about mistreatment of new mothers who aren’t fully aware of their rights. As I started experiencing more intense pain, Clarissa jumped into action to help with pressure points and positioning my body in a way to ease pain. She helped me with breathing techniques and ways to move my hip on the birthing ball she brought along. All of these things made such a tremendous impact on how beautiful my whole experience was. Clarissa was right there squeezing my hand tight, holding my leg, and cheering me along so I knew I was able to do this. That was the strength I needed. Finally, my daughter was born! Clarissa made sure I got immediate skin-to-skin and a good deep latch to kick off my breastfeeding journey. We both laughed and cried when my daughter came out, it was truly one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve ever had! Throughout my postpartum weeks, Clarissa made sure to check in with me daily as she did when I was pregnant to assure I was doing okay, and to answer any general questions I had about breastfeeding, postpartum care, and being a new mom in general! All her advice was so helpful. Choosing Clarissa as my doula was one of the best decisions I could have made. If you want an individualized experience with someone who is passionate about helping moms, Clarissa is the perfect person for that!

Hello! I'm Vânia, a certified postpartum doula and the founder of The Rested Mama Village. What I do is simple to describe and hard to do well: I take the night, so you can take the morning. For twelve years I've cared for newborns and their families, starting in 2014 with five-day-old twins on an exchange program in the Netherlands, then across England, Austria, New York, and, since 2019, eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. I've supported premature twins on their first night home, babies born through surrogacy, NICU graduates, and reflux that keeps a whole household awake. I'm ProDoula certified, DONA International trained, and CPR/First Aid certified. I hold a degree in Social Work from Brazil and I'm currently studying nursing at Bucks County Community College. All families are welcome here: LGBTQ+ families, single parents, families grown through surrogacy. I'm not here to tell you how to parent. I'm here to listen, respect your choices, and help you find your own rhythm, in English or Portuguese. Based in Bucks County and serving eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. You'll find more about how I work at therestedmamavillage.com.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Vania, our certified postpartum doula..She was an absolute godsend during my C-section recovery, providing exceptional care for both our newborn and me. As a certified doula and nursing student, she is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and dedicated to what she does. She went above and beyond, helping with newborn care, bottle washing, baby laundry, keeping everything tidy, and preparing nutritious meals to support my recovery. She made it possible for me to truly rest and focus on healing, knowing our baby was in the most loving and capable hands. She is responsible, punctual, trustworthy, and genuinely treats your children as her own. We continue to use her for overnights, and our girls are always overjoyed to see her, which speaks volumes about the special bond she has built with them. She is truly a gem, and I would recommend her without hesitation to any family. We are so grateful to have her in our lives!

Meet Kamilla Kamilla is a Full Spectrum Doula through Cornerstone Birthwork Training, as well as a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) trained through Newborn Care Solutions. With over 5 years of international experience, she is passionate about providing compassionate, knowledgeable, and individualized support to families during the postpartum and newborn period. Born and raised in Brazil in a large, loving family, Kamilla grew up surrounded by caregiving. Inspired by her grandmother, a traditional midwife, she developed a deep connection to newborn care, maternal support, and nurturing practices from an early age. Her passion for postpartum care became even more personal after supporting her own mother through postpartum depression. This experience gave her a deeper understanding of how vulnerable, emotional, and overwhelming the postpartum transition can be. Through her professional experience, she has also supported families navigating baby blues and postpartum depression, always providing compassionate, nonjudgmental support while recognizing when additional professional care may be needed. Kamilla has additional training in Montessori Education, Sleep Training through Summer Secret, and Early Childhood Development. She is currently continuing her education in Breastfeeding Education through CAPPA and pursuing her nursing education to further expand her knowledge of maternal and newborn care. With a background in law and extensive hands-on experience caring for newborns and supporting families, Kamilla brings together professional education, practical experience, and genuine compassion. She understands that postpartum is not always the beautiful, effortless experience portrayed online. It can be exhausting, emotional, unpredictable, and overwhelming. Her goal is to create a calm and supportive environment where parents can rest, recover, bond with their baby, and feel confident in their new role. Kamilla provides individualized support based on each family’s unique needs, with a focus on newborn care, postpartum recovery, sleep support, feeding support, and the emotional well-being of the family. Her philosophy is simple: When we care for the mother, we care for the entire family.

I have been so lucky to hire Melissa twice as a doula now and I could not recommend her services enough. She is a wonderful advocate for mothers and truly listened to what I needed. She gave me the space to think about what my needs might be and I don’t think I would have known without her there to ask those questions. She helped prep our whole family in a way where I felt so well cared for. For both of the births Melissa was there for, as soon as she walked in I felt a huge sigh of relief. She was there and she had me and my back and I fully trusted her to guide me. We were also fortunate enough to hire her postpartum doulas! We had the pleasure of working with Veronica, Danielle and Bernadette. Everyone brought different outstanding qualities that were a total joy to experience. They went above and beyond to learn about our families needs and fit right in. I trusted all of them with my postpartum care, cooking meals, giving my husband a break and endless sibling entertainment for my bigger kids so I could snuggle in bed with our new baby. I felt so well supported my body was able to heal physically and I could emotionally take space when needed. There was always round the clock care and they were quick to fill our schedule when I quickly realized I needed more support than I had initially intended. I wish all mothers could experience this kind of care.

I hired Nia Nchami as a doula for the birth of my second daughter in 2022. After an initial conversation via email, she came to our house and really listened to my concerns, fears and hopes for my delivery. She took extensive notes and created a birth plan that truly encapsulated what I wanted for the birth. We stayed in contact for several months and talked more frequently as my due day neared. When the day came, she was a force of nature. She kept me calm and confident. She helped me to navigate the birthing process. But most importantly, advocated for me with my doctors, nurses and healthcare staff to ensure that I received the best care. I can truly say that I had a much better experience giving birth than the first time and Nia was a big reason why. She is extremely professional, but also calm and caring. I’m so glad that I found her!

I can’t recommend Melanie enough as a lactation consultant. During my postpartum period, when I felt at my most vulnerable, Melanie helped me regain confidence in myself and my abilities as a mother. She shared her knowledge in a way that was easy to understand, but what stood out to me most was the kindness, compassion, and care she showed me when I didn’t even realize how much I needed it. Melanie took the time to truly listen to every single one of my concerns. She never made me feel judged, dismissed, or as though my worries were insignificant, no matter how small they might have seemed. Looking back, I realize how important it was to have someone who made me feel heard, understood, and supported during such a vulnerable time in my life. It’s clear that Melanie is not only incredibly knowledgeable in her field, but also genuinely passionate about what she does and deeply cares about the families she works with. Her support made a meaningful difference in my postpartum journey, and I’m so grateful to have had her guidance. If you’re looking for breastfeeding support from someone who combines expertise with genuine compassion, I wholeheartedly recommend Melanie. You couldn’t be in better hands.

October 2026

We had an exceptional experience with Forever Doula and highly recommend their postpartum doula services as well as the pre-birth class. Our doula, Gabrielle, supported our family during both day and night shifts in the first month after bringing our newborn home to the southeastern Monmouth county area. The overnight support was truly invaluable. Being able to get a full night's sleep occasionally made such a difference during those early weeks, and knowing our baby was in caring, capable hands gave us tremendous peace of mind. Beyond newborn care, Gabrielle was incredibly knowledgeable and supportive as we worked through breastfeeding and latching challenges. Her guidance, encouragement, and calm presence helped build our confidence as new parents. We also participated in a pre-birth class with Sarah, which was extremely helpful as we prepared for our baby's arrival. With so much information available online and through social media, it can be overwhelming to know what advice to trust. Sarah helped us make sense of everything we were seeing and hearing, provided practical guidance, and patiently answered all of our questions. While we didn't feel that a birth doula was the right fit for us, the pre-birth class was the perfect compromise. We benefited from an experienced doula's expertise in the comfort of our own home, which gave us the confidence and knowledge we needed heading into delivery and those first weeks of parenthood. Throughout our time with Forever Doula, both Gabrielle and Sarah were professional, reliable, compassionate, and genuinely invested in our family's well-being. We were fortunate to have access to these services through my employer's benefits, but after experiencing the value firsthand, I would absolutely recommend Forever Doula even if I were paying entirely out of pocket. The support we received was worth every penny and made a meaningful difference during one of the most important transitions in our lives.

October 2026

I was looking for overnight support for when we had our first baby and my friend recommended Sara and Forever Doula. She was really responsive when I emailed and set up a call later that day. In our first call, I felt heard and cared for. She assured me that they have worked with Carrot fertility many times and everything would go smoothly. It sure did. I hired two doulas for my overnight care and it was amazing. I initially didn’t want two because I was worried the care would be inconsistent. It never was. They never missed a beat. Every night they would come in fully aware of what changes needed to be made and how to address my son. I had a successful breastfeeding journey because of my support but equally as important to me, I felt constantly supported. I couldn’t recommend forever doula enough.
