After years of social justice work, community organizing, and healing facilitation, Tyne became a birth worker in 2023. After she began working as a doula and seeing the disparities amongst mamas, she started providing my services on a sliding scale and mainly works with moms on medicaid through GALS. Tyne is trained through Doula Trainings International, and works with Giving Austin Labor Support (GALS) as an On-Call Doula for Austin hospitals. She also is training through BEST Doula Program for placenta preparation. Tyne is also a trained healing circle facilitator, worked with an indigenous midwifery school Ruruchay in Peru, and loves to support clients through the emotional journey of birth. In addition to birth work, Tyne graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in Human Rights, and finishing her masters in Community Organizing and Social Activism.
