I’m a mom of three, and my journey into postpartum work was shaped by my own experience navigating early motherhood. I’m a double-certified postpartum doula through ProDoula and ABG, as well as a newborn care specialist, specializing in overnight care that prioritizes rest, recovery, and ease for the entire family. I’ve supported numerous families both independently and as part of a professional doula team, caring for a wide range of newborn needs—including twins and preemies. I’m confident in managing varying feeding schedules, routines, and transitions, always meeting each family where they are. My approach is warm, intuitive, and steady. I focus on creating a calm, nurturing environment so parents can truly rest, while feeling fully supported and at ease. I have always been someone who loves to take care of others. For family and friends, I was the one they’d call in an emergency, when someone is passing, when life decisions were being made. I went to college to become a nurse because I wanted to ensure I had a career where I could support people. God works in mysterious ways and I wasn’t able to apply for the nursing program at the college I went to. I had decided to get a degree in Health Systems Management and later, to do the accelerated nursing program. Plans don’t typically work on the way you dream and I found myself two kids later, 1 year too late, unable to apply for the accelerated nursing program. During this season, I had Andrew, our child that wasn’t birthed with the support of a doula, and I knew, being a doula was my answer. I’ve had felt unseen, unheard and unimportant when I was giving birth and I wanted to make sure that didn’t happen to others. I’m often get introduced as “Doula Jenn” and, I love it. I don’t just doula people through childbirth, I support through life. Parenthood is hard, marriages are hard, finding connection with friends is hard and I want to come alongside you in life. I’m an active member of the High Vibe Mom Tribe and I host virtual book clubs several times a year to support women through their marriages.

With my love of babies and the incredible miracle of birth, I found the desire to become a Postpartum Doula. Bringing a new baby home is a life-changing event and integrating that new little bundle of joy into the family can be overwhelming. As your Doula, I will make this transition easier for the entire family. My role as your Doula will also be to provide education, non-judgmental support and companionship. I will offer my expertise in newborn care and breastfeeding support. I will also offer evidence based information on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, infant soothing and coping skills. I will make appropriate referrals when necessary. I am a certified Doula through DONA International. The training I received through DONA increased my knowledge and ambition to offer the nurturing care new moms, infants and families so deserve! Hours for my services will be flexible to meet the needs of your family including overnights and travel. I am current in both adult, infant CPR and First Aid Safety Certifications through the American Heart Association. Also, I am current on vaccinations and Trustline Certified. I offer overnight support for families with newborns. Besides supporting parents in the care for their newborn I also love to ‘mother the mother’ as she needs to rest and recover in the fourth trimester. I offer practical support, such as help with (breast)feeding, making sure mom stays hydrated and rested, clean bottles and pump parts, help with baby laundry etc. I also provide evidence based information on newborn care as well as emotional support to process all the changes and offer parents encouragement where needed. I’m your biggest cheerleader to become confident in your parenting skills and style!

Im 19 and recently finished getting my certification as a Holistic Pregnancy and Birth Practitioner. I have been a nanny for a little over two years and I really enjoy the work and kiddos. I started with one of the families while they were pregnant with baby number 2 and was able to offer mom the chance to rest or spend 1:1 time with baby and I really enjoyed it. With my recent training I am hoping to use it and get into become a birth/postpartum doula. I want to offer my services and a lower price while I help with my first births and learn what to fully expect outside of the classroom. I feel more connected to postpartum work and being able to nurture the parents, whether that be pre-birth to “nest” for baby, find meals to prep/cook postpartum, basic housework like dishes and laundry and even some potential grocery shopping for those first few weeks when it’s not ideal to take baby out.
