I have been a Birth Doula since 2014 and a Fertility Educator since 2016. I am passionate about helping women understand their bodies better from preconception through postpartum. I was inspired by my own experiences throughout my 4 pregnancies and have worked with clients from all backgrounds and delivery scenarios including, but not limited to: hospital, birth center, home birth, c-sections, VBACs, medicated, Un-medicated, multiples, high-risk, micro-preemies, and adoption (birth and/or adoptive parent support). As a Doula, my goal is to help my clients experience the birth of their dreams. My training is body-centric and focused on optimizing fetal positioning for a more comfortable pregnancy, smoother delivery, and better postpartum recovery. I am hands on and often provide comforting touch and release work. As a Fertility Educator I support clients who want to better understand their menstrual cycle to either avoid or achieve pregnancy through private, virtual classes.

We worked with Tara during my pregnancy and postpartum period, and she has been absolutely wonderful. Although I ultimately gave birth out of state, Tara provided invaluable support before and after the birth. She is incredibly knowledgeable about both the birth process and the postpartum period for mom and baby. Just as importantly, she brings a very warm, calm, and reassuring presence. During one of the most vulnerable and intense periods of life as a new family, Tara consistently showed up as a steady, thoughtful guide. She was generous with her time, answered our many questions patiently and with expertise, and helped us feel more confident navigating the early weeks with our newborn. Every visit left us feeling more supported and grounded. I would wholeheartedly recommend Tara to any family looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and dependable doula.

Hiring Josie from Living Water Doula Care for my second C-section was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My first C-section was an emergency and left me with significant birth trauma and anxiety that I didn’t fully understand until my second pregnancy, but then I met Josie and she completely transformed my experience. Before my C-section, she helped me process my first birth and identify where my trauma was rooted. She also helped create a calm, peaceful home for me to return to after delivery. On the day of my C-section, Josie was my anchor, and recognized my anxiety even when I tried to hide it and made sure my concerns were heard. I was terrified of the spinal, but she advocated for me with the medical team and encouraged them to explain each step, helping me feel safe and informed. Her calming presence changed the entire atmosphere of the room. She also supported my partner, a first-time dad, helping him feel included and at ease. After surgery, I experienced intense pain, and Josie continued to show up for me, even coming to the hospital in the middle of the night. She helped me manage my pain through breathing techniques, physical comfort, and emotional support. When I felt overwhelmed after being moved to a smaller room, she once again advocated for me and helped me feel safe. Coming home was just as meaningful. Josie had prepared my space, making it feel warm, peaceful, and restorative. Her postpartum care helped me slow down, release guilt, and focus on healing. Josie doesn’t just support birth—she honors it. She didn’t just support me through my C-section; she helped me heal from past trauma. Before hiring her, I wasn’t sure a doula was necessary for a C-section. Now I can confidently say it was one of the most important decisions I’ve ever made. Because of Josie, I no longer fear growing my family, and I’m forever grateful for the role she played in my healing journey.

Hey there! My name is Naomi Carrington. I am a Certified Birth and Postpartum doula, Breastfeeding Counselor and Childbirth Educator in Louisburg, serving the greater Raleigh Triangle area. I'm passionate about childbirth, mamas, and babies, and I've dedicated my life to helping families experience a birth and postpartum beyond their expectations. Birth does not have to be seen as a fearful thing, but something women were designed for. Living overseas has helped to shape who I am today and the services I offer. Over the past few years I have mainly attended home births which is my 'happy place'. But no matter where you plan to deliver, I guide my clients in preparing both their minds and bodies for labor and offer full informed support of their choices. A few things that I impart to families are: education, the importance of body balancing, whole food diet and mental preparedness. Knowledge is power and a big part of what I do. Over the years, I have attended over 70 births and taught several classes. In my free time you can find me reading, working out, enjoying an iced coffee, working in the garden, with our many animals or cooking in the kitchen. I am from a big family and love making memories with them! I'd love to connect and discuss how we can meet your goals for your dream birth, postpartum or class experience!

Working with Naomi helped us achieve a birth experience we prayed and dreamed about. With something so uncertain and out of our control, Naomi helped us prepare mentally and physically as first time parents. We started by taking her child birth class and learned so much. By working with her as our doula from early on, we were able to utilize her many resources and knowledge to improve my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. We were really thankful to have her at our natural, unmedicated hospital birth. Her support helped us confidently advocate for our birth plan and achieve a pleasant birth experience. She was hands on and jumped right in, knowing exactly what I wanted and needed. Having her support postpartum was also beneficial at such a vulnerable time. Hiring Naomi was a great investment and we will hire her again for any future pregnancy.

I can't thank Savannah enough for her incredible support throughout my pregnancy journey. From the moment I told her about my pregnancy , she provided invaluable guidance on creating a birth plan tailored to my preferences and needs. Her knowledge on postpartum healing and breastfeeding was a game-changer, offering practical tips and emotional support every step of the way.One of the most impactful aspects of her care was the open discussions we had about circumcision. She provided thorough information and empowered me to make an informed decision that felt right for our family. Her compassionate approach and wealth of expertise made all the difference during such a significant time in our lives. Savannah is a beacon of authenticity in a world often clouded by conformity. I highly recommend Savannah to any expecting parent seeking personalized, supportive care. Forever grateful for her guidance and wisdom.

Hi, I’m Beth…a DONA-trained Birth & Postpartum Doula with a heart for empowering women and supporting families as they grow. While I may be “newer” to the formal doula world, my passion and experience run deep. For decades, I’ve walked alongside families through pregnancy, birth, and the tender early days of parenthood—helping mamas feel seen, supported, and confident in their strength. I’m the proud mother of one amazing adult human who has flown the nest to the fresh air and beauty of the NC mountains. My journey into birth work began more than twenty years ago during my own pregnancy, when I discovered the transformative power of being truly supported and held in that sacred season. Since then, I’ve continued to learn and grow—earning my B.A. and M.Ed. in Education and gaining a wealth of hands-on experience nurturing families and little ones. My deep interest in natural health, social–emotional development, and attachment has inspired me to pursue further training in infant mental health, dyadic relationships, children’s yoga, and herbalism. I believe in caring for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and in meeting each family exactly where they are. When I work with families, my goal is to hold space for birth and postpartum experiences that feel calm, connected, and empowering. I blend evidence-based practices with a gentle, holistic approach that honors each mother’s intuition and journey. One of my favorite quotes beautifully reflects what I believe: “Whenever & however you give birth, your experience will impact your emotions, your mind, your body, & your spirit for the rest of your life.” ~Ina May Gaskin

Beth provided doula services for our first labor that was intended to be a home birth but turned into a hospital transfer. Beth was great and stuck with us for the whole entire 3 day process. She checked in multiple times before labor started as well and was super thorough with making sure she undersetood my husband and I's desires for our birth. During the actual labor Beth was great support to not only me but my husband as well, trying to protect our energy as much as she could, and during our transfer, Beth was super encouraging and made me feel supported even though it wasn't in our original birth plan. Thank you again Beth, we are so grateful for you!
