I have a masters degree in pediatric nursing and I’m an internationally board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC). My career started 10 years ago in inpatient pediatrics and the neonatal ICU. I then moved to a pediatric outpatient clinic due to a desire to focus on preventative medicine and patient education. When I had my own struggle breastfeeding my daughter it drove me to focus my career on lactation. I have personally experienced triple feeding, bottle refusal, oral function concerns, maintaining supply while working and breastfeeding in toddlerhood. I have a passion for helping moms understand how their babies developmental milestones influence their breastfeeding experience. I pride myself on providing education rooted in evidence based research. Becoming a mom changed my life so profoundly that now motherhood and breastfeeding are my favorite things to get to talk to other women about.

I found my love and passion for supporting families and children in 2002 when I began my career as a Nanny.  I would frequently found myself supporting newborns/infants as a Nanny and chose to transition to a Newborn Care Specialist officially in 2021.  As of 2023, I have supported over 30 families with their childcare and newborn development.
