First, I want to say, I never knew what a doula was or is. So I am writing this from the bottom of my heart to express my deepest gratitude for the incredible support, care, and guidance Nicole provided during my granddaughter's labor and delivery at the hospital. As a grandmother watching a loved one welcome a new baby, seeing her go through such an intense experience can bring a mix of worry and hope. My first time meeting or talking to Nicole was at the hospital. The moment she stepped into the room, she had a calming presence sbout her. When asked questions, she spoke with reassuring words, and expert gentle touch brought an immense sense of peace to our entire family. Nicole's anticipated her needs, advocated for her comfort, and held space for her with such profound grace, professionalism, and warmth. Nicole truly did a beautiful job, and watching her work was a blessing. Nicole helped make this momentous arrival a peaceful and empowering experience that we will always cherish. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your dedication, your compassionate heart, and the wonderful care you gave to my granddaughter. Birth. Strength. Motherhood. I believe every woman deserves to feel strong, informed, and deeply connected to her body before, during, and after birth. My role is to help her build that foundation so she can move through motherhood with confidence, resilience, and trust in herself.

The first words I think of while describing my family's experience with Luna Bruno is "our angel on Earth". I was fortunate enough to meet Luna while she was training to become a Midwife at a birth center I was receiving care at for a few weeks. Life had some hiccups and I no longer had any prenatal care at all. I immediately knew that if I wasn't going to have a Dr./Midwife by my side, I 100% needed a woman who can help me connect with every bit of strength I had in me to get through what I was about to experience. Beginning to end Luna tailored not only to my husband and I's needs, but she also tailored her work style and ethic around who we are as people. She took thoughtful time understanding our mindsets, concerns, and lifestyle to translate them all into the care she provided throughout our journey. No matter who you are, if your goal is to channel your upmost STRENGTH pre/post natal, Luna is the woman to help empower you through it all. There was not one single moment where we felt unsupported, alone, unsure, or not advocated for properly. My favorite part about working with Luna was knowing that this is not just some job title for her, this is who she is, you can feel the passion for her work threaded into every part of her honest work. Both my husband and I (+my new little baby if he could type) would 1000% recommend Luna Bruno as your Doula.

I live in OC with my three amazing children! If I’m not at a birth, you will find us at the beach surfing, playing, and enjoying the outdoors. I fell in love with all things birth when I became pregnant with my 1st child in 2008. As an avid reader and researcher, I made it my goal to learn everything I possibly could about the biology and physiology of birth, and how to have optimal health during and after pregnancy for both me and my baby. Like many first-time moms I have worked with, I had hesitations about giving birth to my 1st baby outside of a hospital setting. After all my research, classes, and conversations with midwives, I gained confidence in aiming for an unmedicated birthing experience. I found some lovely midwifes who had a midwifery ward in a hospital and gave birth to my 1st son unmedicated. Twenty-four hours of intense back labor from a posterior-positioned baby …but, I did it! My body actually did it! After birthing my first, statistically knowing it was the most challenging and longest labor, gave me confidence to choose home births for my second and third children. I had a successful home water birth with my second child and wanted to repeat that with my third. However, while laboring on the toilet with him, I suddenly dropped to my knees when he began to crown, and he became known as my bathroom floor “butter birth” baby :). Though I chose unmedicated births for myself, I do know it is not for everyone, which is more than OK! I quickly learned from my role as a doula that every woman’s body, medical history, and background are uniquely different. Many factors play into choosing the right birth for you. I am here to come alongside you, help you make an informed decision, and then support you every step of the way. I offer very personable and compassionate care. My approach is non-agenda-based, trauma-informed, and holistic-minded. No matter your history or past experiences, I am here to be a safe place for you. I will help educate, support, and advocate for you and your personal wishes. I look forward getting to know you and building a trusting relationship to where you feel 100% comfortable having me by your side for one of the biggest days of your life. 🙂 I am here for you! My care philosophy is to provide physical, emotional, and informational support to the birthing person and their partners before, during and after labor and birth. I Value and respect the birthers intuition to birth in her best position. I can assist and educate successful breastfeeding. I teach and promote bonding activities between newborn, mother and family. I believe with a balance of evidence based practice, therapeutic and homeopathic approach along with the power of the mind and the capability to manifest an outcome that can be positive and empowering.

I worked with Marquiesa as our birth doula and it was the very best investment in my mental and physical health to support me during my birth and most importantly during my postpartum recovery. She deeply listens to understand and I never felt any sense of agenda, bias, or judgment on her part. From the very first meet and greet, she was invested in my input, preferences, and well-being. She is knowledgeable and practical - which has her always organized, professional, and reliable. These qualities combined with an approachable, humorous, and authentic personality made even the tougher moments of childbirth more manageable. I thought the hard part would be over after birth, but postpartum came with so many challenges , I don't know what I would've done without her support and knowledge . Marquiesa helped me navigate breast feeding , provided guidance for nourishing meals that boosted my supply , showed me the essentials like sanitizing bottles and helped me keep up with the daily tasks of a newborn so i wasn't so overwhelmed . I felt like with her as my doula i was taken care of both mentally and physically and i would recommend her for any doula needs. As some one who suffered from post partum depression i can't say enough about how much she helped me through my motherhood journey.

I am a CAPPA-certified Postpartum Doula and experienced Baby Nurse with over 10 years of hands-on experience supporting newborns, children, and adults in both hospital and private home settings. My clinical background includes serving as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Providence Saint John’s and Cedars-Sinai in the Pediatrics, Postpartum, and Oncology units, where I developed a strong foundation in maternal-newborn care, patient advocacy, and compassionate support. My transition into full-time postpartum and newborn care was a natural calling. After years of walking alongside families in the hospital — including supporting patients through deeply vulnerable moments — I felt drawn toward the beginning of life, where I could nurture, guide, and empower mothers during one of their most transformative seasons. I bring a calm, reassuring presence into the home, along with strong clinical awareness, newborn expertise, and a deep respect for each family’s unique parenting style. I have cared for children from newborn through adolescence and am especially passionate about helping new mothers recover confidently, establish feeding routines, and feel supported both physically and emotionally. Families describe me as attentive, knowledgeable, nurturing, and trustworthy. It is an honor to support mothers as they heal, bond, and step into their new role with confidence. I would love the opportunity to connect and learn how I can best support your family during this special time.

We are privileged to have employed Jacqueline Baptiste as our post-partum doula since January 2023. Jacqueline has been a fun, extremely reliable and hard-working doula for my four-month old daughter. Jacqueline has a great understanding of the needs and abilities of babies and is nurturing and responsive. Jacqueline has always brought a professional, thoughtful, and organized approach to the care of our child. Jacqueline makes play time fun, and my daughter is always happy to spend time with her. Jacqueline always goes the extra mile and helps with laundry, cleaning, and organization around the house. She does a fantastic job with keeping my daughters’ areas tidy, clean, and sanitized. Jacqueline can work in the intimate family environment with integrity and is trustworthy. We treasure Jacqueline and deeply value her contribution to our family.

Los Angeles birth doula, Pasadena birth doula, postpartum doula, lactation educator, and childbirth education support for families who want thoughtful, steady care through pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum. I support clients giving birth in hospitals, birth centers, and at home across Los Angeles and Pasadena. My approach is calm, evidence-based, and holistic. I help you sort through options, understand what matters most to you, and prepare for birth in a way that feels clear,, and personal. Families often say they feel calmer, more confident, and more connected when we work together. Rather than focusing on what birth should look like, I help you tune into your own values, preferences, and needs so you can move through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum with more trust in yourself and your choices. In addition to birth and postpartum doula care, I also offer childbirth education and lactation support to help families feel more prepared and supported as they welcome their baby. Hiring Rebecca Belenky was the best decision I made for the births of my children. Rebecca attended two of my births: an unmedicated birth at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena and a home birth. What stands out most to me, aside from her remarkable steadiness and extensive knowledge, was her ability to help me hold boundaries while remaining kind and respectful of the other members of the care team. In the intensity of labor, it can be difficult to stand up for your choices, but Rebecca stayed acutely attuned to my needs and wishes and helped communicate them to the team. Thanks to Rebecca, I had the confidence to focus on myself and my babies, and I had beautiful, joyful birthing experiences. I strongly recommend Rebecca to anyone looking for an calm, attentive, evidence-based advocate.

My family has been lucky enough to partner with AnneLisa during our postpartum journey. She is self proclaimed holistic and that term is just right. At night time, AnneLisa comes to your house and spends time checking in with the Mom and finding out any information about baby. She writes notes about her night with baby and shares with both parents. She ends her service by making a very large breakfast (her oatmeal lasted me at least 3 servings each time). During the daytime, she checks in on Mom again, and that can come as talking, French hair braiding or massage. She can also teach you newborn skills like how to take baby out for a walk, or how to bathe baby. On top of all this, AnneLisa partners with a wonderful woman in the insurance industry who can help you check to see what is covered and even help try and get reimbursements. If you’re looking for a doula, while I can only attest to her postpartum skills, I’m sure she’s amazing as a birth doula as well. I highly recommend working with AnneLisa.
