From the very beginning, JulieAnn proved to be an invaluable presence in our home, providing exceptional care for our baby. One of the things that stood out most about JulieAnn was her excellent communication. After each night, she provided us with thorough updates, keeping us informed about our baby’s sleep, feedings, and overall well-being. Her insights and observations were incredibly helpful, and she always took the time to answer our questions and offer thoughtful suggestions. Beyond her expertise, JulieAnn brought a positive attitude and warmth into our home. She was truly a joy to have with us during such an important and sometimes overwhelming time. It was clear from the start that she genuinely cared—not just for our baby, but for our whole family. She was patient, kind, and always encouraging, which made a world of difference as we navigated life with a newborn. JulieAnn was also incredibly reliable and professional. She was always on time and ready to help, giving us peace of mind knowing we could count on her each night. Her consistency and dependability made a challenging period so much more manageable. We always felt confident that our baby was in the best hands. We are grateful for the care and support JulieAnn provided, and I wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for an experienced, compassionate, and dependable night nurse. She made a lasting impact on our family, and any parents who have the opportunity to work with her will be incredibly lucky.

I began babysitting when I was 13 for some of the neighbor kids. Having a big family with a lot of younger children around, really gave me the experience I needed for in the childcare field. As I grew older I would babysit for multiple families in the community I grew up in. I also ran my church nursery, and was the assistant director at Eagle Ridge Child Outreach at another church for the summer. After moving to Chicago in 2016 I began babysitting as needed for a family with a premature newborn in the evenings. I then moved on to a part time nanny position with a 6 month old until they moved when she was 18 months. I then worked as an as needed babysitter again while working at grocery store. I then moved on to overnights at Maryville Crisis Nursery and then full time nannying with infants and toddlers. I love working with kids and seeing them grow into their own abilities and personalities. I would love to help you be the best rested parent possible!

Tracee was great! My birth didn’t go as planned but she was by my side and took all my request into consideration. She informed me of the options I had when my labor wasn’t progressing and guided me in a great way. She was super helpful from pregnancy all the way to postpartum

Hi everyone! I'm LGBTQ+ friendly and I believe all families deserve love and support. I'm a certified postpartum doula and I provide daytime support in the city of Chicago. Not only can I provide excellent care of your newborn, but I'm there to provide support for the whole family by assisting with breastfeeding or bottle feeding, making meals and snacks, answering questions about newborn development or postpartum recovery, and generally providing emotional support during a time that can be both joyful and stressful. I take your family's health seriously, which is why I'm fully vaccinated and boosted, and I've received the Tdap vaccine. I get a yearly flu shot and I keep my CPR certification updated.

Carrie is amazing. She brings a sense of calm wherever she goes, and has an incredible supportive energy. She’s wonderful at anticipating needs without being asked, and an expert in all things postpartum. Whether it’s making a warm meal or snack, holding a hand (or baby!), or troubleshooting the highs and lows of this very special time - Carrie is my first choice. Thank you for everything you do!

As an infant to early childhood nanny, it has been my complete joy to witness parents blossom fully into their roles as loving, foundational caregivers for their children. In my time as a doula, that joy has increased tenfold as I have been able to witness the exact moment that this unconditional love and care is born. The birth of a new human is remarkable, but the birth of parents should be held and cherished just as thoughtfully and deeply. My philosophy as a doula is whole-family care; we got us, we take care of us by taking care of each other. I'd love to be a part of your journey whether you're adding your first or your tenth to your family. Sliding scale rates available: Birth $800-$1200 Postpartum $30-$35/hr

(LGBTQIA+ ally, religiously inclusive, and generally grateful to walk alongside any and all types of family units where love and peace are the priority!)

I met Heather when my baby girl was just three days old. As a first-time mom with no family around, I needed support during my postpartum period, and Heather's exceptional care was truly invaluable from day one. She taught me everything from changing diapers to bathing my baby. Heather approached parenting as a trial and error process, guiding me through different methods, such as finding the best way to swaddle my baby, understanding that every baby is unique. Her calming presence was instrumental in helping me cope with the significant identity shift and potential postpartum depression that new moms often face. I wholeheartedly recommend Heather for her expertise, compassion, and unwavering support

Wow. I wish I could give more than five stars for Trish! Having her by my side for my first child was like having a sister who knew absolutely everything to help both me and my baby. Our son was born a month early so Trish’s knowledge was SO beneficial as we navigated all the preterm challenges. My milk took a long time to come in and Trish was there every step of the way. It’s now three months later and I’m able to successfully breastfeed my (healthy and strong) baby, which was so important to me. Trish even stayed one day when I had mastitis and helped feed and put the baby to sleep so I could rest. We seriously could not have done this without her and cannot recommend her highly enough!

We are incredibly grateful for Kyla and the support she provided during our postpartum journey. Kyla was calm, compassionate, and knowledgeable, which immediately put us at ease as new parents. Kyla provided overnight postpartum support, helping us rest while ensuring our baby was cared for with patience and attentiveness. Kyla supported feeding, soothing, routines, and early milestones while also checking in emotionally and making postpartum recovery feel less overwhelming. As our needs changed, Kyla transitioned seamlessly into a nanny role, continuing to provide consistent, nurturing care. Kyla’s doula background truly sets her apart, and we would highly recommend Kyla to any family looking for a dependable and supportive doula or nanny.

I’m a Full Spectrum Doula, newborn care specialist, and boy mom. My infant care journey, trainings, and previous role as a nanny has allowed me to gain a plethora of knowledge about caring for both mothers and their newborns. It has also given me the privilege of supporting moms through the sleepless but undoubtedly euphoric times of the postpartum and newborn stages. I accomplish this by educating and encouraging my families while also providing evidence based care and comfort to their newborn. I know this is an immensely delicate time for every family but its my delight to help transition from womb to room.

We had a wonderful experience working with J'Nai as our postpartum doula. She jumped in immediately just a few days after my son was born until he was six weeks old. It was important to me that whoever we worked with felt like a part of our family and never made my husband or I feel uncomfortable. From the beginning, we felt at ease around J'Nai. She has an incredibly calming presence and took such good care of our son. She helped us with little things too - teaching us how to put diapers on properly to prevent leaks, creating a bedtime routine, and sharing words of wisdom that kept us sane during the newborn stage. I am grateful to have worked with J'Nai.

I don’t even have the words to express how thankful I am for Ashley. From the very beginning, she made me feel safe, supported, and seen. During my labor, she was my calm in the storm — reminding me to breathe, holding my hand, and speaking life into me when I wanted to give up. She made sure I felt heard and respected every step of the way. I truly believe my birth went the way it did because of her presence and care. Ashley, thank you for being my angel through one of the most powerful moments of my life. I’ll never forget it.

I worked with Amber several time when nursing my twins. She was extremely sweet and made me feel like I was talking to a good friend. She was very knowledgeable but also extremely approachable, very different than the hospital IBCLC. She really helped me feel like I was doing well as a mother and her care and support helped me be able to exclusively breastfeeding my twins for the first 10 months of their lives.
