I believe that as women, our bodies were designed by God to birth well. While complications do happen, they are not the rule. Birth is a natural physiological process. It is hard work and can be uncomfortable or painful, but that is not all. Birth is a transformative, life changing experience no matter how it happens: unmedicated or medicated, vaginal or cesarean, home birth, birth center, or hospital.

My passion for birth work began long before I knew what a doula was. I’ve always been drawn to mothers and deeply curious about pregnancy, how it transforms the body, mind, and spirit. I grew up knowing my mother’s birth stories by heart, and even then I sensed that she deserved more compassionate care and stronger advocacy. In college, a course called Pregnancy and Power opened my eyes to the realities of the U.S. maternal healthcare system and the consequences of highly medicalized childbirth. Hearing doulas and midwives speak about their work and the purpose behind it sparked something deep in me. I had never felt more aligned with a calling. Following that pull, I completed my birth and postpartum doula certification through Bini Birth in Sherman Oaks. Learning from Kathrin Auger and Ana Paula Markel only affirmed that this is the work I am meant to do. As a doula, my role is to support you in connecting with your own innate strength, intuition, and wisdom so you can make informed choices for yourself and your baby. I've been a birth professional for about 7 years now and I thoroughly enjoy it. I got started in this industry almost by default. I am the daughter of the middle daughter of 5 girls. All of those girls (my aunts) gave birth to girls. If you can see where I'm going, I have seen a lot of birth over the years.
