Hi, I’m Kristin (she/her)! As a certified Birth and Postpartum doula and a mother of five, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise to my role. Supporting my sister through her three births and serving as a surrogate for a loving family deepened my love of all things birthy! Additionally, my upbringing in a family that fostered newborns instilled in me a profound love for caring for infants. I am deeply grateful and honored for the opportunity to assist families on their perinatal journey. As your doula, my role is to honor your choices and create a nurturing environment. I recognize the vital role of partners in the birthing process and strive to foster a supportive and unified atmosphere throughout pregnancy and birth. Throughout our time together, my goal is to empower you with knowledge and understanding of your options and rights, fostering a profound sense of confidence. With support tailored to diverse birth experiences, I am committed to helping you achieve an empowering birth that embraces the path that suits you best. I provide comprehensive assistance, including education, physical support, and emotional guidance, enabling you to tap into your instincts, trust evidence-based research, and have faith in your body's capabilities. I'm here to honor your journey, encompassing all emotions and aspirations.

I purchased a birth doula package from Kristin. We had the free consultation (video call) and two prenatal visits and one post partum visit in my home. My husband (which was also my support person) attended the visits, too. It was important to her to include my husband in the conversations because she wanted the three of us to be a team, which I think is great! Kristin provided us detailed information about the labor process, gave us handouts to refer to and she also showed me stretches/workouts that I can do to prepare for labor. She answered all of our questions and provided resources. She went through a detailed questionnaire with me which helps to create a birth plan and also prepares you to think about the ‚what if situations‘. My water broke at home and my labor progressed very quickly. Kristin arrived very fast at my home. She helped my husband pack up the car (incl. our toddler) and she was with me in the car and helped me stay calm and focused on laboring during the 20-30min drive. I was so thankful to have her with me. I would have panicked but she convinced me that we are making it to the hospital - and we did. While I was birthing, there were lots of questions and voices from different nurses and doctors. But Kristin was next to me and she would repeat what they said and I only focused on her voice. Kristin took photos once the baby was born and I am so thankful for them. She stayed with us for a bit and then checked with us when it was ok for her to leave. Throughout the pregnancy and post partum Kristin checked in with me or I could ask her a question and she would give me resources. My husband and I are thankful that we found Kristin and we would totally work with her again! I highly recommend her!

Hi, I’m Katie—an IBCLC dedicated to supporting families with compassionate, evidence-based care. I received my lactation training through Metropolitan State University of Denver and have spent the past eight years working as both a birth and postpartum doula, supporting more than 100 families through some of the most tender and transformative moments of their lives. I come to lactation work with a foundation in Nutrition, holding a bachelor’s degree from UNC.  I have three kiddos of my own—each with their own unique breastfeeding journey. These experiences deepen my understanding that every family’s path is different, and every goal is valid. I truly love being welcomed into people’s homes and consider the postpartum period a sacred space. My approach is grounded in respect, collaboration, and meeting families exactly where they are—whether they’re navigating challenges, exploring their feeding options, or simply seeking reassurance. When I’m not working with families, you can find me snowboarding, traveling, reading, cooking, and hanging out with my little crew, hopefully outside, having an adventure!

I used Katie for the birth of my first son and my second son. If I were to have a third child, I would use her again. She is knowledgeable, a calming presence and was supportive in the exact ways I needed her to be for both births. I am so happy with how my labor and delivery went each time and I feel like Katie played a huge role in me being able to feel that way. I would recommend katie highly to anyone looking for a doula.

Lyssa Zawalski

3 years of experience

My name is Lyssa Zawalski, and I am a postpartum doula undergoing certification with DONA. My path towards becoming a postpartum doula was a winding one, with stops along the way as a teacher, social worker, and product manager. While I have found a depth to each of these titles, becoming a postpartum doula has felt like so much more. Quickly after giving birth to my daughter, I realized that I was underprepared and undereducated on what came next. Postpartum was filled with navigating solo parenting, PMADs (perinatal mood and anxiety disorders), and lack of a “village.” Once enough time had passed and I could more objectively look back at my postpartum period, the most glaring observation was that I had desperately needed help. I needed support in understanding how to feed my baby, what infant sleep looked like, how to find ways to take care of myself (which felt impossible at times). Having a postpartum doula would have changed my postpartum experience as well as the early years of parenthood. I cannot imagine a more tender time to support a family. I truly believe the care and support that we receive in our postpartum period determines so much of how we start our parenting journeys. Thank you for being here, and thank you for trusting me with the most precious pieces of your heart.

Lyssa has been an ongoing guide to motherhood, since she had her daughter. Her unfiltered honesty in motherhood was very real, deep and a refreshing view compared to posed family photos. When I had my second baby, I thought it was going to be different, since I knew what to do this time around. In a sense, it was. However, when the lack of sleep crept in, I called upon Lyssa. She knew the anxiety, the deep seated feelings I felt, and had already lived the intrusive thoughts I had. She was present for the hardest parts, and I can NOT thank her enough for seeing me and understanding motherhood, by walking with me on this journey.
