Growing up in a household that valued holistic health, I learned early on about the importance of caring for our bodies and staying active. My personal journey through health challenges in early adulthood emphasized the need to look beyond symptoms and find the root cause of issues. This experience also highlighted the significance of advocating for one's own health and finding medical professionals who truly listen. With a longstanding passion for helping others and sharing knowledge, I realized my true calling when I took a childbirth education class. This revelation led me to the world of doulas, where I discovered a profound need for support during the birthing journey. The term "Doula," which means "a woman who serves" in Greek, perfectly encapsulates my mission to empower families in their birthing experiences and health choices. My passion for photography beautifully complements my doula work, capturing precious moments during birth that families will treasure forever. This unique combination provides families with both emotional support and lasting memories of their birthing journey. In addition to my doula services, I offer childbirth education classes that guide and empower families. My goal is to help families find their voices and stand firm in their beliefs throughout the birthing process, instilling confidence and a sense of control. When I'm not busy supporting families or teaching classes, I enjoy spending time with my husband, George, and our adventurous cat, Grayson. Together, we explore the great outdoors, whether kayaking, hitting the beach, or hiking. If you are seeking a dedicated professional to make your birthing experience empowering and memorable, you've come to the right place. With me by your side, you can trust that your birth plan and needs will be fully supported throughout your journey.

As a first-time dad, I thought my main job during labor was to not pass out. Turns out, with Savannah by our side, I got to be an actual support system instead of just a nervous wreck holding a granola bar. From the first meeting, Savannah made both of us feel completely at ease. She answered every question, even my ridiculous ones like, “is there a wrong way to hold a leg during pushing?”. She helped us create a birth plan, and more importantly, she made sure we felt confident when things didn’t go exactly according to that plan. When labor started on a Tuesday at 2 AM, she was the first to text back ,faster than my mom, which is saying something. Lol. By Wednesday afternoon, after countless counter-pressure techniques, words of encouragement, and somehow keeping my wife calm through contractions that could bend steel, she was still going strong. I, on the other hand, was running on fumes and hospital vending machine coffee. She even reminded me to eat so I didn’t become the patient instead of the support partner. Then came the magic moment. As my wife was delivering our little one on Wednesday night, Savannah coached me through every step. She knew exactly what we needed even when we didn’t but she always asked before stepping in to make us feel comfortable. This whole experience was a blessing. Thank you Savannah for taking care of my wife and helping welcome our new addition to our family.

Alyssa Janjooa

Hey everyone! My name is Alyssa and I am a postpartum doula in training. My passion with the birth experience came after having my own children, when I was able to truly understand the severity of receiving nurturing and healing care as a new mother... Our society today does not have the structure for a "village" the way I think we are intended to have - so here I am building one for the women in my life. We deserve care and dedication after the mind-blowing experience of bringing new life into the world. Thank you for considering me.

Alyssa was my postpartum doula for my first two children and my birth doula for my third, and I truly can’t imagine those experiences without her. After my first two births, she provided so much more than practical help. She was a constant source of emotional support. She cooked meals, helped me through breastfeeding struggles, and when I ultimately chose to formula feed, she never made me feel judged. Instead, she gave me the confidence to trust my decision and reminded me that a well supported mom is what matters most. For my third birth, Alyssa was by my side during my C-section. After two previous emergency C-sections, having her there made all the difference. She made sure I understood what was happening, helped me feel informed and safe, and brought such a calm, reassuring presence. Knowing I had someone completely in my corner, supporting my choices without judgment while providing compassionate guidance, made the entire experience so much smoother. I will always be grateful for the care, knowledge, and kindness Alyssa gave my family. She is an incredible doula, and I wholeheartedly recommend her.

As a first time mom, I knew I wanted to have a natural birth without an epidural. Since this was my first pregnancy, my husband suggested we work with a doula. Being fairly new to Georgia, we didn’t know where to start. But thankfully, a close friend of mine who is a nurse highly recommended Mrs. Patmon. I am so grateful she did. Mrs. Patmon is incredibly patient, passionate, and knowledgeable about what she does. She comes from a strong background in doula care and offers a holistic approach, always respecting her clients preferences. She made herself available to me at any time day or night which gave me so much peace of mind throughout my pregnancy. She helped me create a detailed birth plan and supported me every step of the way in carrying it out. During my third trimester, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and she guided me through it as best as possible. She also offers teas, oils, massages, exercises, stretches, and so many helpful techniques to prepare my body for a natural labor. When I went into labor, Mrs. Patmon showed up fully prepared and ready to support me. She made sure my medical team had my birth plan and advocated for my wishes throughout the process. During contractions, she provided hands on support with massages and used special oils that helped intensify my contractions and progress labor more quickly than I expected. I arrived at 4 cm dilated, 70% effaced, and -2 station and in less than four hours, I was pushing. My experience with Mrs. Patmon was nothing short of amazing. She played such a vital role in making my first labor and delivery a positive and empowering experience. If you’re looking for a doula, look no further Mrs. Patmon is the one you want by your side. A message for Mrs. Patmon… I truly don’t think I could have made it through labor and delivery the way I did without your guidance, wisdom, and steady support. Thank you for advocating for me, making sure the medical staff honored my birth plan as best as we could, and for ensuring the safety of both me and babygirl. You’ve been such a blessing in our lives, and we’re so incredibly thankful for you.
