Baby Sleep Consultants & Coaches Near Me in Lawrenceville, GA

Becoming a mother is one of life's most beautiful experiences — but also one of the most physically and emotionally demanding. Every mother deserves knowledgeable support, nourishing care, and time to heal. Hello! I'm Xuanqin Garrett, a certified Postpartum & Infant Care Doula (ProDoula, Cert. #PICD025127) serving the Metro Atlanta area. I have supported 8 families through the precious first weeks with their newborns, and I'd love to support yours. My Specialties Traditional Chinese Postpartum Meals — one of my greatest passions. I prepare authentic Chinese month-confinement meals: tonic chicken soup, traditional herbal teas (including Shenghua Tang to support postpartum recovery), and warm recovery dishes. I don't follow standard recipes — I customize every meal plan to each family's tastes, dietary needs, and cultural or faith traditions. Breastfeeding Support — the early weeks are often the hardest. Within my professional scope as a postpartum doula, I provide education, encouragement, comfort measures, and practical support, including gentle breast massage for fullness and engorgement. For medical concerns, I always refer to the mother's OB provider or an IBCLC. Gentle Recovery Care — relaxation massage for new moms (including cupping and moxibustion when appropriate), newborn care guidance, and light housework so you can rest and bond with your baby. My Schedule — daytime support (typically 6 hours/day in the first week, then 4–6 hours/day adjusted to your needs) and overnight care up to 2 nights per week. I hold a current AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED certification (adult/child/infant), and I speak Mandarin Chinese and English. It would be my privilege to walk alongside you as you welcome your newest family member.

I am originally from Miami, Florida. I am a highly trained certified pediatric nurse in Atlanta, GA. Throughout my nursing career, I have always been moved by women who are able to use their bodies as vessels to bring new creations into this world. As a doula, I want to use evidence-based information to help care for mothers and your newborn such as labor support, hands-on comfort support, infant feeding, emotional and physical support, and newborn care. I will incorporate my doula knowledge with my skills and experiences as a nurse to help families with the challenges and changes that come with bringing a new life into the world. My overall goal as a doula is to leave families feeling more resilient with their newly added skills to better take care of themselves and their growing family.

Peace + Love. My name is Jo and life has called me into newborn care and education for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a large family, often with a baby on my hip, nurturing from an early age what would become my life’s work. I deepened this calling through Early Childhood Education and Full Spectrum Doula training (Georgia State Board certified). In total, I bring over five years of professional newborn and childcare experience. My background includes working as a Preschool Educator at an Anti-Bias, Anti-Racist school, a Professional + Travel Nanny, and a Children’s Yoga Teacher. These roles have strengthened my ability to meet children and families with presence, compassion, and cultural humility. I specialize in restorative newborn and postpartum care, supporting families in returning remembrance and sacredness to the postpartum season. My work blends traditional African midwifery wisdom with modern Western education and medical knowledge, allowing me to provide care that is both grounded and holistic. With a deep well of newborn expertise and strong relational skills, I am honored to educate, comfort, and connect with families from all walks of life. I look forward to connecting with you and your babe.

I am a DONA International certified prenatal doula devoted to holding space for mothers during their softest, most transformative seasons. With a background in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and certification in lactation support, I provide gentle, informed guidance that nurtures both mother and baby from pregnancy through postpartum. As an alternative medicine student nearing completion of my Bachelor’s degree, I intentionally integrate holistic healing, intuitive care, and evidence-based support into every experience. My work is rooted in the belief that motherhood should feel supported, seen, and sacred; not rushed or overwhelming. Through The Soft Mama Society, I create a safe, nurturing space where women can slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and step into motherhood feeling confident, cared for, and whole.

Having a passion of caring for babies and young children ever since young, I have extended that passion through education becoming a certified postpartum doula. With years of newborn, infant and young childcare under my belt, I have had the pleasure of caring for newborns, infants, and young children with a variety of needs. The needs include colic, premature care, circumcision care, sight disabilities and more. Providing quality and compassionate care for mothers, newborns, infants, toddlers and young children is my number priority. In the midst of my journey of newborn, infant, toddler and childcare care, I became aware of the care and attention that is needed towards women. The ability to create a safe space for them in many ways built up my courage to dive deeper into caregiving.

We know that pregnancy, birth, and postpartum can be an overwhelming time. That’s why our doula services are tailored to meet your individual needs. You are not alone!

I am based in Atlanta, GA, and available for birth support, postpartum care, and overnight newborn care. Parents describe my care as calm, nurturing, steady, and deeply supportive. I am a full-spectrum doula committed to supporting the whole family — mother, baby, and partner — through every stage of this journey. Too often, families are sent home after birth and expected to figure it out alone. That can feel overwhelming and isolating. I believe you deserve more than that. You deserve education, support, and a community around you. When I say “village,” I mean real, practical support. You will know how to feed, rest, recover, and adjust as a family. You will understand what is happening in your body, what your baby needs, and what to expect during each stage. My role is not to rescue you. My role is to equip you. I provide tools, education, and steady guidance so you can make informed choices with confidence. I believe birth is powerful. A mother’s body carries wisdom. My goal is to help you trust that wisdom while fully understanding your options. I also support partners and fathers intentionally. I help them understand how to support mom physically and emotionally. I prepare them for the changes that may show up for them too — stress, exhaustion, uncertainty, or feeling unsure of their role. I help them feel confident, involved, and connected during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I am currently completing my certification through the Georgia Black Doula Network, strengthening my training in culturally competent, evidence-based support. I am passionate about advocating for healthy mothers and babies and strengthening Black families. I offer: Prenatal education and preparation Labor support Postpartum support Pregnancy and postpartum meal planning Cooking classes for growing families You do not have to walk this journey alone. Let’s prepare your family for a supported, informed, and confident birth experience.

I have always been passionate about helping those expecting and their loved ones learn how to advocate for their needs. I am currently in my Doula Certification program, but have helped families for many years. Through my travels and lived experiences in and out of the U.S, I bring knowledge and wisdom from many cultures, including my own Caribbean heritage. My goal is to teach those who are expecting how to listen to their bodies, take care of their needs inside and out, and have the type of birth that they have always imagined. I also support families through changes that may occur during labor and delivery by assisting in creating flexible birth plans. In case of postpartum and bereavement, I provide care, sensitivity, and tools focused on grieving. I am here to support you and cheer you on as an advocate and loving birth assistant.
