I've worked as a doula since 2012, As an NCS (night nanny) since 2022: experience with triplets, prematurity and reflux. (3,000 hours) I have extensive knowledge with lactation, pumping and maintaining supply as a working mom. I've been teaching parents infant massage since 2012 and have created a course for healthy pregnancy, birth, postpartum and newborn care. I serve families in home in the East Valley .

I’m here to make you feel empowered, supported, and heard through your journey of birth and postpartum. This is my mission due to my birth and postpartum experiences. I had a traumatic first birth that ended in an emergency c-section. Postpartum Recovery was even more difficult without the support I truly needed. When I was ready to try for a second baby, I miscarried. It took a lot out of me, to get the answers I needed to explain why I miscarried and to find a provider who was going to be safe for me. I knew I wanted a doula and the right birth team that would support me through a VBAC. My team heard me and created space for me to achieve a dream birth!

Meet Arizona licensed midwife Giuliana Pica, the passionate force behind Empowered Goddess Birth. She launched this inspiring venture in 2020, initially as a doula and childbirth education business, all while dreaming of evolving it into a vibrant home birth midwifery practice. In February 2021, Giuliana dove headfirst into her midwifery apprenticeship at a local birth center. There, she immersed herself in the art of midwifery, attending both birth center and home births, while learning from an accomplished array of preceptors—including licensed midwives, certified nurse midwives, and a community-based obstetrician. Fast forward to 2024, Giuliana proudly completed her training and passed both her national certification exam, and state licensing test, officially transforming Empowered Goddess Birth into her dream home birth midwifery practice. Giuliana maintains both CPR and NRP certifications, has attended a breech training workshop hosted by Breech Without Borders, completed a shoulder dystocia training course through Spinning Babies, and has attended 3 midwifery skills workshops hosted by the Midwifery Wisdom Collective. She is passionate about and committed to expanding her knowledge base. In the spring of 2024 she also welcomed earthside her first child, Odin. His home waterbirth was a deeply spiritual and soul nourishing experience. Since then, she’s been savoring every magical moment of motherhood alongside her partner Nicholas, as they embark on this beautiful adventure together.
