I grew up in west Michigan, cradled by the crescent moon grin of the Great Lakes. My desire to become a doula first took root in experiences I had volunteering with local organizations and non-profits when I was in high school. My passion for community-based care began in the basement of a neighborhood church, where I first volunteered with a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families find and keep secure housing for their children. From these initial experiences, I got to witness first-hand how important it is for families to be well-informed and unconditionally supported in order to thrive together.
