I’m Nubia, a mom of five (teens & young adults). I have 25years of experience in the birth, postpartum & newborn care field. This is my passion work. I have a tremendous amount of gratitude being able to do this heart-centered work professionally & full-time. I support mothers & families as a certified birth doula, postpartum doula, parent educator, certified breastfeeding counselor (CLC), an integrative nutrition health coach (IIN) and a student midwife. My journey started in the year 2000 in my hometown of Washington, DC. In 2015. Since then, I’ve supported a diverse clientele in New York City and now Cali. My philosophy: Mothers deserve to be respected, heard and nurtured doing this major transition in life to becoming a mom, whether it’s for the first time or the 8th time! I truly believe It takes a village to raise a family which is what led me to my purpose, heart-centered work of supporting mothers & families. I’m a strong advocate for mothers and families birthing in all settings including hospital, home & birth centers. I respect the many choices in mothering and parenting. It's an honor to walk the path of mothering with women as they navigate the many options we have today. I strongly believe in the woman's ability to grow, birth and nourish her baby with her natural, innate abilities while also respecting the need or preference of medical support along the way. It's all about the balance of holistic & medical. My support also includes follow up postpartum healing practices for mom, lactation and pumping support, newborn care and parent coaching. On my spare time I enjoy indulging in health & wellness therapies, spending time in nature, traveling, cooking, dancing, and enjoying quality time with my family. My name is Rebecca Garcia and I am thrilled you are seeking out a Doula for your journey. I have a strong energetic pull towards this life changing work, and I am so honored to be pursuing my passion as a birth worker. I love all things birth and feel that my strongest assets are listening, empathy, providing resources and cooking homemade meals for others. I tell all my clients, if there is a birth I am there. With all the stigma and negative depictions in the media surrounding birth, I want to ensure that my clients feel secure in all their decisions without any judgments. This Is Your Body, Your Birth & Only You Get To Make The Decisions That Works Best For You & Your Baby. I have two spirited little ones of my own; ages 4 and 6. I had doulas for both births and feel as though they made my birthing journey undeniably memorable. They feed me, hit pressure points during labor, loved me, educated me and most importantly encouraged me to find my voice and strength. These are the experiences I wish to provide to my future clients. I have experience in homebirths, birth centers & hospital settings. I understand that ones birthing journey is a sacred space, and wish to only support and offer any resources that may help aid in this time. If you are interested or just want to connect and talk anything birth, postpartum or baby please feel free to reach out. I am located in San Francisco and I am extending my services throughout the surrounding Bay Area. Virtual Options Also Provided

Rebecca was very thorough in the education she provided to us as first time parents in the lead up to the birth. There were 4 in depth sessions which were really appreciated and learned tons during. It alleviated some nervousness around giving birth. During the birth, she came over just before the baby was born at the hospital and gave me a massage and really helped advocate for my wishes as predefined in the birth plan (which she helped me develop). After the baby was born, we had a few additional sessions with her. She brought over bone broth, did a baby massage, and really made the day special for me with a tray of yummy treats. Additionally, she did a closing of the bones ceremony. It's really when i realized that in becoming a mom I went through a transition and a change that was more than I really understood pre-birth. I remain super grateful to Rebecca for the wonderful care she provided me during our time together. Thank you for all the training and education prior to the birth and in taking care of me post partum. I wished I had more time with her!

Rejeanna was there throughout my whole pregnancy, birth, and post partum. I learned so much during my pregnancy from her and she just really listened to me and how I felt. Then while delivering she was amazing and helped me as a first time momma after I delivered. She has not only been an amazing doula but she has also become a friend.

Working with Katelyn was hands down the best decision we made for our birth and postpartum journey. She was truly irreplaceable, and I honestly know I wouldn’t have had such a successful, positive birth experience without her. From the start, Katelyn prepped both my husband and me so thoroughly that we felt confident going into labor. When a preeclampsia diagnosis completely threw our original expectations out the window, Katelyn didn't miss a beat. She immediately helped us pivot and had a brand-new birth plan ready, guiding us through every shift with calm, compassionate expertise. Her care didn't stop in the delivery room, either. As someone navigating postpartum anxiety, Katelyn was an absolute lifeline. She helped us ease into newborn sleep schedules, patiently answered our endless questions, and gave us so much peace of mind during those vulnerable early weeks. If you are looking for a doula who is knowledgeable, adaptable, and deeply supportive, hire Katelyn immediately. We are forever grateful for her!

I support a wide range of birth preferences and experiences, including unmedicated birth, epidural birth, induction, VBAC, and cesarean birth. I reached out for support because I was feeling really anxious about attempting a TOLAC. I wasn’t sure if I should go for it, but after having many honest conversations, I felt completely heard and supported. That helped me make a decision I truly felt good about. On the day of my delivery, she came right away. Her bright encouragement and Naoko’s calming presence helped me shift from fear to confidence. In the end, I had a successful VBAC, and it turned into the best birth experience I could have hoped for. I’m so grateful I chose Naoko’s support and would absolutely recommend her to anyone considering a TOLAC or VBAC.

Hi, I'm Kristin Guess! My journey into birth work began when I attended a DONA International workshop in 2018. After supporting my first birth, I knew that doula work was exactly where I belonged. I remember driving home with a huge smile, filled with a sense of joy and awe—as if I had witnessed one of life’s greatest secrets: the arrival of a new being, full of possibility. No matter how unique each experience is, that feeling of wonder never fades. It is truly an honor and privilege to be present for such a profound moment in people’s lives. I was born and raised just outside of Sacramento and spent 2 years after high school living in Germany before making my way to the Bay Area for college. During the pandemic years, I moved to Portland, Oregon. The Pacific Northwest is beautiful, but California is where my heart is. I’m now excited to get to call Half Moon Bay home. I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to support Bay Area families once again. As a DONA-certified, evidence-based doula, my role is to help you feel informed, empowered, and at ease throughout your birthing journey. I love working with birthing people and becoming a team to create an environment that feels safe and one where you feel heard and respected. I believe deeply in individualized support and the importance of continuing education.   In my free time you can find me biking or walking the HMB Coastal Trail, listening to a podcast, gardening, watercoloring or baking some sourdough.

I am so grateful I found Anita as my doula. She responded quickly to my inquiry through insurance, which meant a lot because I was trying to secure a doula as soon as possible and learn more about the process. From the beginning, she made me feel at ease, calm, and truly understood. She listened to what I wanted for my birth experience and respected my preferences. During labor, Anita was incredibly responsive—always quick to answer texts and calls—and she arrived at the hospital right on time. She was professional, supportive, and fully present throughout the entire process. I had a natural birth, and the pain was intense, but Anita made a huge difference. She used techniques like applying pressure, guiding me into helpful positions, and placing cold towels on my forehead and chest to keep me comfortable. Her support helped me get through one of the most challenging moments of my life. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend Anita to anyone looking for a caring, attentive, and skilled doula.
